Yeah right. We beat 3 teams with a combined record of 1-8 by a total of 13 points. Now that's what I call " the greatest show on turf."
4 minutes ago, Sami84 said:sorry wizard but you overrate teams and underrate your so called team. I'm a realist too and i dont see this game being beyond the ravens at all. i really am not impressed with their D .
the jags had a far better secondary and D line, talent wise..
I don't blame you for feeling this way. Do you think I want to be going against my beloved Ravens? But I'm still really upset about the fiasco from last year and really didn't see much in the off-season to change the way things look this year. Unless you want to include the addition of washed up over the hill players like Watson, Wallace, and Hester. We even tried to add a ridiculous Trent Richardson. Jeez Lousie. The only difference this year is that we have been the lucky ones so far. Not the team that has out-played and out-classed our opponents.
1 minute ago, rmcjacket23 said:LOL really good teams?
You mean the Saints, Falcons and Titans... three teams who have very little or absolutely no shot of being a playoff team? Those really good teams?
I mean you're not even trying to sound coherent anymore are you?
Haha they have a better combined record than 1-8.
Just now, Sami84 said:Yes..they are world beaters..it would be inconceivable for us to beat them..greatest show on turf stuff..
please note im being a tad sarcastic.
I'm not a Raiders fan but you have to admit they have a formidable offense and are top 5 in almost every category. We aren't in the top 20 in anything offensively except for Joe coming in as the 18th ranked QB and actually grades out even lower than that.
2 minutes ago, Sami84 said:dude its the nfl..there are many ways to win and lose a game. Their D is awful..our O line is rubbish...
you also forget our special teams unit..it makes a difference..
Certainly you are not referring to that Devin Hester guy? The only part of our special teams that makes it special is Justin Tucker and Sam Koch. This is not an offense that can put up many points and I stretched it with a 20 prediction because I see the D coming up with a TD in this game. Everything in football begins with the O-line and the point of attack and that's where we fail miserably. They are 2-1 against a couple of really good teams and have put up huge numbers against all 3.

What offense are you talking about exactly? Do you mean the one with absolutely no running game? Or the one that hasn't had a steady O-line in more than 2 years. Or perhaps you are talking about the offense with a gaggle of WRs and not one bona-fide deep threat. Maybe you are talking about the Raiders offense which most certainly will arrive here determined to plunder Baltimore's booty. Your prediction is laughable. No way the Ravens win this game. If they do I will disappear for 100 years. Don't you know I'm The Wizard and I got Crystal Balls ?
Raiders 28 - 20

Got it.
Some things are better off unexplored ! lol

Your right!! We will be undefeated as long as we don't lose. We could have also given up our 1st rounder (Stanley) our 2nd rounder ( Correa ) given Flacco his walking papers, kept KO, and traded up to get Wentz and saved ourselves around $80 million but then again who listens to me? Ozzie and the gang hard at work-Sheesh

Mack hasnt done anything. The key is bring over TE help, or chipping with a FB. He wins with power moves, and doesnt have the finesse/speed moves to effectively beat double teams on any consistent basis. I think Gillmore could have a big role chipping in on containing him. And I like Stanley against Irvin in pass protection. Should be a good matchup there. They havent gotten much if any interior pressure so Yanda may even be able to help out on Mack a bit which is a big positive.
Amerson had a great game this weekend but otherwise their secondary has been atrocious.
Carr is good. But without a run game theyll become too one dimensional. Jimmy can take Crabtree out of the game completely... and i actually think Wright matches up much better against someone like Cooper than he did against Robinson or Coleman. Coopers game is much more about technical precision and route running than pure athleticism and physicality - that bodes better for Wright.... While Jimmy can match whatever Crabtree brings. Add some safety help on Cooper, and our LBs have looked really good so not too worried about Walford.
Doom would be a big help against the OL. We're going to need to get home, and it may need to come from the edge bc their interior OL is one of the best in the league. Jernigan may not be quite as effective as hes been so itll be on Suggs, Judon, Z and hopefully Doom to get after Carr.
This game is coming at the perfect time for the offense - we get in stride and put up 30 points.
Defense isnt quite as dominant but we still hold them to 23 with a garbage time TD making it look closer than it really is.
Ravens 30-23.
Sorry To inform you but it's time to come back to earth. The Ravens wont score 30 pts in any game all season. We don't have a RB in the top 20. We don't have a WR in the top 20 and we don't have a QB in the top 10. Without a running game, without solid WRs, and without pass protection we are going nowhere fast. Our defense will keep some of the games close but against the upper echelon teams we simply can't compete. There are basically 2 games left on our schedule where we will match up well. Cleveland and Miami and that's it. The rest of the games we will need luck like we got against the Jags and the Browns.
Here we go as the tumble begins. I usually wait to see the final injury report to make my game predictions but this one is easy.
We don't match up well with the Oakland Raiders and even if we had doom ( who is at the end of his career ) it wouldn't matter. Derek Carr and his entourage of weapons are the #2 offense in the NFL and are way to much for us to handle and with us having the 25th rated running game in the NFL it will be easy for them to T-off on Flacco.
Tho the game will be slightly close in the first half but the Raiders win this game handily 31-17 .

At least you learned....
As I stated recently you are a great teacher Sensai. I am but a mere grasshopper.
6 minutes ago, jboy19 said:Don't say that name or he'll show up talking about Flacco needing to cut 15 pounds of lower body fat, adding 10 pounds of arm and neck muscle, then trading him and the first round pick for 26 Future Round Two picks.
After yesterdays performance I think Joe could stand to lose a few lbs of blubber above the neck area.
If one has money in his pocket does that disqualify him from being a hobo?
Talk about splitting hairs-I guess it's all a matter of interpretation. I know it's possible to get a thrill out of watching 2 bad teams run and pass all over each other. Honestly though that's not my kind of exciting football..
In this forum in the Next Up Jacksonville Jags thread three days ago--sheesh
Man you really dont know diddly . I almost perfectly predicted the Ravens would beat the Jags 17-16. You are obviously a part of the generally misinformed and gullible public who believes in anything that everyone else believes in.
I really appreciate your insights and observations. Let us all take the time to re-evaluate and re-assess. Our ugly wins unfortunately disclose our inherent weaknesses. This is obviously not a team hitting on all cylinders. We got lucky wins against 3 bottom dwellers. I have one eye on a glass of champagne but the other eye is reading the writing on the wall.
I still think it's a bug on my iPad so don't feel bad lol
I appreciate it-you are a great teacher. Sensai ![]()
For every Yin there is a Yang. There are just too many Yins and no Yangs round this joint . It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it.
Well some of us are living proof that ignorance is bliss. ![]()
Fell for it? Haha you are one of the ring leaders. Sounds like we better get another batch of coffee going for you guys with the Pom-Poms
Are you really banging the Wallace, Perriman drum ? Really?
You guys are unbelievable--struttin around like a bunch of banty roosters. Yeah we are 3 and 0 with the 3 ugly wins against a gaggle of lousy teams. That's right we beat 3 teams that are collectively 1 and 8 . Definitely time to start talkin trash right? According to my calculations we will not win again until Thursday Night Football when we barely beat the Browns. So for freakin cryin out loud will all of you guys stop the trash talkin . Time to get real !
