  1. How's this for a defensive front next year. Jerrnigan, Williams and Bosa. YESSSS
  2. Well let's see how right I am. My prediction of $5-7 mil of cap space in 2016 will be a correct one. I haven't heard much from you except a continuous litany of boorish personal attacks which is actually quite amusing at times.. I used to sit in the lunchroom and do the same things to some of the nerdy kids at school. I think I gave that up when I graduated 6th grade.
  3. 2 good guesses.? Haha you are quite hilarious. I suggest you revisit the beginning of this thread. You remember way way back in preseason when you were spouting off about how great a football team we were going to be. Take a look at my predictions for the final AFC North standings. You know what I want I want for Christmas. I want you to be right about just one thing.! and also for you to stop personally bashing me.
  4. Good point and most definitely looking that way in 2016. With the little money we have we will not be able to keep up with some of the really talented AFC teams. Going to be tough to get back into that top tier of talent. The good news is with the Chargers winning we now moved up to the 3rd pick in the draft. I really don't see the Browns or the Titans drafting Bosa which means we may get first shot at him.
  5. just another lucky guess huh?
  6. Harbaugh made the decision.
  7. I'm saying he is a better option than bringing in a loser like Ryan Mallet. Pee Wee Herman is a better option than Mallet.
  8. Besides this is all completely off topic and the thread is about my predictions for this season. I have seen or heard you predict one thing that has come true!
  9. I completely understand how things work and Flacco is not going to restructure a deal that gives him 8 mil less on any end of a new contact.. No freaking way that happens. But the problem is negotiating a restructure and you are assuming Flacco is amenable at all to a restructure. IMO there is no good reason for Flacco to agree to a restructure. His injury throws a monkey wrench into any negotiating.
  10. Let's see if I got this right, 1st. Flacco is due basically 29 mil in 2016 and you think he is going to restructure his deal so he takes about 10 mil less. Haha that's hilarious. I'm sure he is happy you aren't negotiating for him. 2nd. If Pitta doesn't retire and we release him that creates about 7 mil in dead cap space that we have to pay him- cut and dried. We have more than 1/3 rd of our salary cap tied up in a few players. Flacco/Yanda/Webb/Pitta/Suggs and thats not magically going to disappear.
  11. More like a case of common sense.
  12. Oh well !! Better than Ryan Mallet for sure. Or is that Ryan Leaf? Not sure I know the difference.
  13. No way!! Most of that is ridiculous. We won't see 5-10 mil from a Flacco extension . 2-4 mil tops and thats if he even agrees to one but if he does whatever cap room it does give us wont free-up until 2017. No way Pitta retires-thats like throwing away 10 mil. I guarantee Pitta will not retire. Steve Smith is not going out on a stretcher he will be back in 2016 however he will in all likelihood be traded to the Panthers.. IMO you have no idea what you are talking about. There is absolutely no way we end up with 15 mil in cap space after all is said and done. I am predicting 5-7 mil tops and that's being generous.
  14. Thanks for making my point for me bruddah!
  15. It will not shift dramatically. There are no retirements unless you include Pitta who actually is a huge dead money hit, there will be no trades if it includes an additional hit to our cap. Roster cuts vs signing draft picks will be pretty much a wash. Any re-signing of our UFA's will come directly out of our cap since they technically don't have a 2016 salary with any team. If you think big money is going to magically appear you are sadly mistaken. Don't listen to usmccharles-that dude don't know jack about our salary cap .
  16. That Rice trainwreck would have happened sooner or later but if I could have prevented I would have. To think he was going around to Baltimore schools talking to kids about bullying still makes me nauseous to this day. At any rate we are in a salary cap twilight zone and for the next 2-3 years it will be the same shuffling in of sub-par talent and letting the real talent go because we can't pay them. Osemele, Upshaw and possibly even Justin Tucker ( all of which I don't believe we can afford to resign ) are the examples this year. Ngata, and Torrey Smith were the examples last year.
  17. Guess I'm just pulling numbers out of thin air huh? You need to wake up and smell the coffee sir! http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2016/
  18. Not by much-do you even have an idea what our salary cap projections are for 2016? This may help you out. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2016/
  19. It's not off by much but lets say just for sake of argument it's off by $10 mil (which it isn't ) but lets say it is just for the hell of it. We might be able to resign Ray Rice - I'm sure you would be on board with that. I hear Kyle Boller is wanting to make a comeback.. What say you usmccharles you seem to think you have all the answers. The bottom line is we are miles away from where we need to be in every phase of the game. Whether it be salary cap, coaching , player personnel or swagger it's going to be a long cold off season.
  20. He looked a hell of a lot better in pre-season than Matt Schaub or any other of the bums on our roster have in the regular season. You got to be kidding ? At least he won a game and he didn't throw a pick six.. It just goes along with the rest of the terrible coaching decisions this year. Ryan Mallet is a piranha in the league. I suppose you want Ray Rice back too?
  21. Right now we are upside down on our salary cap. So looking down the road I would say it will take 3 years to get that back to a place where we can be relevant in the market again. The Flacco/Rice/Webb/ contracts have become a huge financial abyss. With the money we paid Yanda there's not a lot of room left. We will have around $4 mil in cap space next year. Doesn't leave much room.
  22. I do have a much better idea. Let Bryn Renner finish out this dismal year. He has experience with the offense and won a pre-season game for us.
  23. This thread is laughable. You guys are talking about 2 complete losers and suggesting they have something of value to offer this team. Just shows you how far down we have slid to give the likes of Claussen/Mallet a starting QBs job. I'm so embarrassed by this farce. God help us!!
  24. Unfortunately because of our salary cap issues it will be pretty much status quo for us. No big names coming in. However some significant names will be going out. We are a rebuilding team and I'm not sure what we have. I can tell what we don't have , an identity confidence , swagger and an inspirational leader. Without those we are a team somewhere in the middle of the pack.
  25. Ok it's Friday afternoon and we are one week closer to capping off what will be a long road back to the playoffs. Of course the Chiefs come in a beat us up. Everybody knows that, but the question is how bad will it be. It will appear a competitive game at half time but KC is way too much for us to handle in the second half. 30-10 as the Chiefs put up almost 500 yards of offense and once again our dynamic duo of Allen/West stumble and fumble their way to a fairly good impression of Abbott and Costello.
