  1. Do you really think we are going to put a viable team out there thats going to be competitive with the rest of the AFC this year? Come on man !!!
  2. Let me state the facts in real terms. No matter how we like to slice and dice it, yes we won the game by 3 touchdowns but the facts are , our first team looked ridiculous. 37 yards rushing? Wallace --35 yards, Forsette--got nothing, we have no TE, we got no sacks, we had no tackle for loss, we had virtually the same team we put out there last year. This is the new look NFL and we don't match up!!!
  3. Wow this thread is unbelievable. You are trying to stack a rookie Stanley who isn't even close to Michael Oher in natural ability against the likes of Von Miller? That literally makes me LOL
  4. Especially when we could have had Tyler Boyd who would have settled our KO and punt return problems and at the same time would have given us a reliable #2 behind Kamar Aiken who is our real # 1.
  5. There is only one player who can be deemed as a totally wasted 1st round draft pick or otherwise. Boller, Kindle, Pierce, Oher, Elam, et.al. at least contributed something to our team even if their impact was minimal. The only ( so called ) player that has contributed nothing to this team is Breshad Perriman. Not only has he shown to be a complete bust more importantly, IMO, he will never play a meaningful down in the NFL period.
  6. I actually think Pee Wee Herman might be an upgrade based on the way we played last year. Did someone say Billick? I got an idea -- lets see if Mike Ditka wants to shake it off ! That's the kind of mentality we need in Baltimore. Everybody say yeah yeah ! Fuggettaboutit
  7. Aww shucks can't we all just get along? I hate the Freakin Steelers. Come on man!!!
  8. Interesting analogy. Where did you read that on the back of a box of Frosted Flakes. The fact is, we should have known before offering Long a contract that he was unable to play football. Did one other team jump at the chance to bring in a former pro-bowler. No ! Instead we let an oft-injured but one who had 2 strong knees walk into retirement without offering him a penny in Monroe. Do you think the coaches got a good look at Stanley and possibly realized there is no way he will be ready for week 1 and now they are scrambling to find someone to shove into a hole that they created? Do you think that's even possible? To suggest otherwise simply adds to my belief that there are people in this organization that simply are not in tune with the rest of the league. Continuity is essential to success in 2 places on a football team. No.1 is the secondary and running a close 2nd is the O-Line. So much happens at the line of scrimmage. Our O-line was arguably our weakest point last year. How have we possibly done anything to fix that problem? I suggest we get on the phone and see if Eugene might be interested in coming out of retirement.
  9. Jeez Louise, first you guys are singing the praises of Jake Long and the next minute you are saying we are better off without him and we don't need him and any other kind of whatevers. I said in my post that the guy wasn't worth a plug nickle and I stand by that. You all make it quite hilarious to peruse this board and it makes for some good belly laughs. Thanks to all !!!!
  10. Well we really hit the jackpot with Jake Long. Not only did we bring in a guy with one bad leg but but we made sure he has an extra bad leg to top it off. And for good measure we made sure he hasn't played football in almost 2 years! Exactly what our O-Line needs.
  11. Trow dat bum outta here. Fuggettabboutit
  12. We can't afford to re-sign Justin Tucker. He will be one of many salary cap casualties. Here is my list of current players who will not be on Septembers 53 man roster. 1, Chris Canty 2. Elvis Dumervil 3. Dennis Pitta 4. Marlon Brown 5. Matt Schaub 6.Michael Campanaro 7.Matt Elam 8.Kelechi Osemeli 9.Terrence West 10.Chris Mathews. There are 15 other players who were signed as stop-gap measures that will not make this team in September either. So basically almost half the squad will be gone.
  13. Get cut?? Who is saying Tucker is getting cut? I'm saying we wont be able to resign him because of our salary cap limitations and that is even taking into consideration that the Flacco contract is extended which is in no way a gimme. It is possible we could tag him but even with that it could be as high as a $5 mil hit and the sad truth is we will not have that kind of room. After all is said and done we are going to end up somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 mil in cap space which is hardly enough to spend lavishly on anyone. So no big name game changer's coming to our organization this year for sure.
  14. Unfortunately I was only about 25% right in 2014 but bumped that up to almost 87% in 2015. I plan on 91% in 2016 That is of course unless I get a job as a weatherman in which case I will be 100% wrong all the time. :-)
  15. As I stated in my Annual 2015 Predictions thread , earlier last year, after 2 Achilles tears in 4 years Terrell Suggs will not be playing football in 2016.
  16. I honestly thought that was Ryan Leaf out there for a few minutes. This guy is a clunker. Unfortunately he is what we can afford with our salary cap limitations.
  17. Flacco restructure? How do you even know he will agree to one? Come on Man
  18. Lol you are hilarious. Do you have any idea how much the current franchise tag is for a kicker like Justin Tucker. Well it's around $4 mil and we can't afford that. Sheesh
  19. Ryan Mallett is actually Pee Wee Herman . Trust me I've seen him. Trow dat bum outta here!!
  20. Just wanted to get my prediction for the game on record before kickoff. This game is over by half-time as our defense gets lit-up. 41-7 Steelers.
  21. I don't see that happening with Mallett.. He even looks like Ryan Leaf. Seems like there is a Mallett or Leaf in every generation of football players.
  22. Each week we see a Raven team that is just plain bad. Poor team discipline, poor coaching decisions, lackluster play-calling and poor execution, and above all else sub-par personnel continue to plague or team. It's time to bring in Joey Bosa. Let the count-down begin!!
  23. 50/50 chance at this point.
  24. There is an excellent chance we wont be able to afford to re-sign Tucker. He will command top $$$ and we simple don't have it!
  25. After careful research based on certain scientfic priciples and known facts, I have formulated my somewhat famous and usually amazing predictions for the AFC North and the 2015 season and they are as follows, The Ravens are in a sharp decline, Flacco has no real deep threat. I believe Perriman will end up being an injury-prone washout. Our secondary is weak and good back-up personnel is non-exsistent. Our defensive line is pourous without Nagta and we don't have enough good healthy defensive line players for the shuffle in and out theory to be affective. We remain with excellent linebackers and a strong offensive line if they can stay healthy. Based on this the Ravens will finish 3rd in the AFC North behind the dreaded Bengals and Steelers with the Bengals winning the division. Here is how I believe our schedule will play out. Week 1 at Denver will be a loss Week 2 at Oakland will be a win. Week 3 Home Opener with Cincinnati will be a loss. Week 4 At Pittsburgh will be a loss. Week 5 Cleveland at home will be a win. Week 6 At Niners will be a loss. Week 7 at Phoenix will be a loss. Week 8 San Diego at home will be a loss. Week 9 Bye Week 10 Jacksonville at home will be a win. Week 11 St. Louis at home will be a win. Week 12 at Cleveland will be a loss. Week 13 at Miami will be a loss. Week 14 Seattle at home will be a loss. Week 15 Kansas City at home will be a loss. Week 16 Pittsburgh at home will be a win. Week 17 at Cincinnati will be a loss. There you have it sports fans We have a down year and finish at 5 and 11. Cincinatti wins the division at 12 and 4. Pittsburgh finishes at 10 and 6 and does not get a wild card. Cleveland is only able to go 3 and 13. The sleeper team in the AFC will be the Buffalo Bills who will go to the Super Bowl on the strength of the amazing transformation of Tyrod Taylor. Call me a clairvoyant or genius if you like but most people just call me Wizard!
