Unfortunately it's time for Flacco to have his first of several let down games. The Jags and Ravens match up well personnel wise and it will be a close game. Though Flacco will not play well this Sunday the defense comes through with a rock solid performance and gets us the win. Ravens 17-16.

Man you should re-read my post of the Rex Ryan subject I DID NOT say the Josh McDaniels will take over the Bills HC job mid-season. Try reading left to right instead of right to left it may help you in the long run.

This game will remembered as one of the most boring games in recent memory. The Ravens are a bad team and the Browns are worse. Very little offense and both will combine for less that 100 yards rushing in this game but not because both teams have outstanding defenses ( although the Ravens D is clearly better) . Simply because both teams have laughable offenses.No leaders on either side of the ball for either team. 19-10 Ravens

It wasn't totally inaccurate but no matter at this point in the season. It is what it is. If you take away the touchdown pass to Wallace and the long completion to Perriiman we had about 180 yards of offense. It was more a matter of which team was worse not which team was better last Sunday. We can get away with lackluster play against Cleveland even on their turf but after that we have a pretty tough schedule. Even Yanda played badly. I'm already wondering who will make the top 100 of 2016?

Come on man- I did not say the Bills would fire Ryan and hire Josh during the season. I said Rex will be fired before the season is over and they will hire McDaniels as HC when the season is over.

Not much to say on this prediction other than the Browns are a better team with McCown under center and the Ravens beat a hapless Bills team that will fire Rex Ryan before the year is out. We will get the win in Cleveland but our lack of a running game and overall lack of talent on offense will be exposed for all of the NFL to see. Defense wins this game for us as we can only muster 4 field goals and a TD. Ravens 19-10

A 12 and 4 record? Wow these are some of the same people who predicted we would go to the Super Bowl last year. Here in realityville the Ravens are a mediocre team at best. My prediction is much closer to what it looks like in the real world. Let's get with it people - don't let the super easy early schedule fool you we are on the outside looking in. 6-10 this year is the best we got. Lets enjoy a Browns victory because it goes downhill from here.

I was wrong regarding much of my overall predictions. Our defense really stepped up and obviously the Bills were unprepared for that. I will take the win anyway we can get it.

Funny how wrong you are since I predicted exactly how many points the Ravens scored but of course you can't see that. You only see what you want to see. I'm not embarrassed at all in fact even tho we one - we won because Buffalo was just plain awful and Tyrod looked pathetic. Fortunately we are blessed with an easy early season schedule.

This is going to be an ugly way to open the season but today we will see just how unprepared we are in almost every phase of the game. Wallace and Perriman will be ineffective because Joe will not have time to get comfortable in the pocket. We have no downhill RBs and it will be apparent. We could have drafted Tyler Boyd but instead a wasted 2nd round pick leaves us with another gaping hole. Tyrod Taylor has something to prove and he will run all over us and today it's going to look like we should have kept Taylor and let Flacco go. I'm embarrassed by what the outcome will look like. I'm already looking at next week and worrying about the Cleveland Browns new look offense.

Ok I have been reduced to predicting game results through the weekly game thread so here we go. This was a fairly easy game to predict since we already have injuries which will affect our overall production. However injuries have nothing to do with an opening day home loss. Buffalo comes in here with a chip on it's shoulder and something to prove and we end up have no answer for Tyrod Taylor and Rex Ryan's blitz happy linebackers. Final -- Buffalo wins 23-13.

I have seen the future and it is not pretty here in Baltimore. As with all preseason hopes and hype the truth is always hard to swallow or any less easy to announce but here we go: 1. Cincinnati Bengals 11-5 2. Pittsburgh Steelers 10-6 3. Cleveland Browns 8-8 4. Baltimore Ravens 5-11 Cincinnati doesn't miss a beat while losing their 2 top receivers by drafting Tyler Boyd and having great depth at WR. The Steelers have a potential to be an offensive juggernaut but have big issues on the defensive side of the ball and they miss out on a wild-card berth on the last day of the season.Cleveland is much more competitive this year and shows promise on offense under new coach Hue Jackson and is clearly on the upswing. While here in Baltimore the Ravens continue to languish in mediocrity. Even though an easy early season schedule we still can only manage a 3-5 record at the beak and it is not enough to make us competitive in a rough division marred by brutal hits by the likes of Vontaze Burflict,, Ryan Shazier and and Lawrence Timmons. The appalling lack of depth on a team already marred by injuries and myriad question marks at TE, WR, and RB leaves us on the outside looking in.

I'm so tired of hearing everyone say how deep we are at TE. We are not deep and actually have nothing viable to put out there. Ben Watson is done and even if he was ready for gametime he was old and over the hill. Nick Boyle is suspended, Crockett Gilmore is always hurt. Dennis Pitta will never play another meaningful down in the NFL. The truth of the matter is we have Maxx Williams who actually reminds me of Todd Heap but without Maxx we have absolutely nothing. So Please lets get real!

Well heck and here I thought I was looking on the bright side. Things could be much worse. We could live in Pittsburgh . What could be worse than that?

I am a fan which is why I'm so verbose about what I see. Otherwise I would be laughing right now at what I see. Instead I need a tissue. I can't stand another 5-11 season but according to my personnel assessments that's where we are heading. Who is going to lead us to the promised land? We got a whole bunch of followers and no leaders.

No - I have yet to run out of magic but we are unfortunately out of TEs. And let/s see what else is wrong even tho we won 30-9. We really don't have a breakaway running back. Instead we got several ham h eggers. We really don't have a breakaway WR unless you call Kamar Aiken breakaway. We really don't have a back-up QB unless you want to call Ryan Mallet a safe bet. Terrell Suggs is old and haggard, so is SSS old and haggard,Wallace is a total joke. Weddle is almost 32, we got a patchwork O-Line with one half rookies and the other half veterans. . As usual we got a decent corp of linebackers and a decent D-line but if we have any injuries in either of those we have no depth. Do we have any possible pro bowlers Better yet -do we have any top 100 players of 2016? Yes we do-Marshal Yanda and....... So the big question is "How do we stack up against the rest of the AFC North" ?

The bottom line is not great I can assure you.
