Yeah right. We beat 3 teams with a combined record of 1-8 by a total of 13 points. Now that's what I call " the greatest show on turf."

But I'm still really upset about the fiasco from last year and really didn't see much in the off-season to change the way things look this year. Unless you want to include the addition of washed up over the hill players like Watson, Wallace, and Hester. We even tried to add a ridiculous Trent Richardson. Jeez Lousie. The only difference this year is that we have been the lucky ones so far. Not the team that has out-played and out-classed our opponents.

I'm not a Raiders fan but you have to admit they have a formidable offense and are top 5 in almost every category. We aren't in the top 20 in anything offensively except for Joe coming in as the 18th ranked QB and actually grades out even lower than that.

Certainly you are not referring to that Devin Hester guy? The only part of our special teams that makes it special is Justin Tucker and Sam Koch. This is not an offense that can put up many points and I stretched it with a 20 prediction because I see the D coming up with a TD in this game. Everything in football begins with the O-line and the point of attack and that's where we fail miserably. They are 2-1 against a couple of really good teams and have put up huge numbers against all 3.

What offense are you talking about exactly? Do you mean the one with absolutely no running game? Or the one that hasn't had a steady O-line in more than 2 years. Or perhaps you are talking about the offense with a gaggle of WRs and not one bona-fide deep threat. Maybe you are talking about the Raiders offense which most certainly will arrive here determined to plunder Baltimore's booty. Your prediction is laughable. No way the Ravens win this game. We could have also given up our 1st rounder (Stanley) our 2nd rounder ( Correa ) given Flacco his walking papers, kept KO, and traded up to get Wentz and saved ourselves around $80 million but then again who listens to me? Sorry To inform you but it's time to come back to earth. The Ravens wont score 30 pts in any game all season. We don't have a RB in the top 20. We don't have a WR in the top 20 and we don't have a QB in the top 10. Without a running game, without solid WRs, and without pass protection we are going nowhere fast. Our defense will keep some of the games close but against the upper echelon teams we simply can't compete. There are basically 2 games left on our schedule where we will match up well. Cleveland and Miami and that's it. The rest of the games we will need luck like we got against the Jags and the Browns.

Here we go as the tumble begins. I usually wait to see the final injury report to make my game predictions but this one is easy. We don't match up well with the Oakland Raiders and even if we had doom ( who is at the end of his career ) it wouldn't matter. Derek Carr and his entourage of weapons are the #2 offense in the NFL and are way to much for us to handle and with us having the 25th rated running game in the NFL it will be easy for them to T-off on Flacco. Tho the game will be slightly close in the first half but the Raiders win this game handily 31-17 .

Talk about splitting hairs-I guess it's all a matter of interpretation. I know it's possible to get a thrill out of watching 2 bad teams run and pass all over each other. Honestly though that's not my kind of exciting football..

I really appreciate your insights and observations. Let us all take the time to re-evaluate and re-assess. Our ugly wins unfortunately disclose our inherent weaknesses. This is obviously not a team hitting on all cylinders. We got lucky wins against 3 bottom dwellers. I have one eye on a glass of champagne but the other eye is reading the writing on the wall.
