  1. Unfortunately that's exactly the kind of offense we will see this year and is partly the reason I'm picking my team to go 5-11. There too many top notch AFC teams this year and if you leave out the Steelers and the Bronco's who I believe are going to be average 9 and 7 teams you still have the Colts, Patriots, Chiefs and Bengals who I have winning their perspective divisions and you have the Chargers and Bills taking the wild cards.
  2. Waller? He wont even play in the Denver game and unless we have a couple injuries and probably wont catch a pass all season. Since when is challenging opponents weaknesses poor coaching. It's the same when a starting DB goes down to injury, the very next play you can bet will be something throw in the back-ups direction. You are going to see Denver kicking balls they want returned I 100% guarantee that's going to happen. I'm not even gonna bother replying about your Ngata statements. Nobody--NOBODY! -- at this stage on our roster can possibly fill the void he left behind.
  3. I have no idea whats wrong with Perriman but I can say that for !00% certainty John Harbaugh knows exactly whats wrong with him and must think us complete idiots to buy his lame excuses. My guess is it's way more serious than any of us know and at this point have to believe he is a complete bust.
  4. Right ! Let's talk after getting blown out in Denver and getting blindsided in Oakland. This team is not ready for prime time and I'm not sure why some people refuse to look at reality. I agree that Campanaro looks good when he is healthy but he almost never is. An unskilled unproven defensive line with no swagger? How can you endorse Carl Davis? He's never played a down in the NFL. Timmy Jernigan an upgrade from Haloti Ngata? That's just downright uncivilized. Who fills the gaps at WR? In what universe do we have a deep threat? Who's gonna field punts and return kick-offs? Maybe Pee Wee Herman is a free agent. And your kidding of course on kick-offs right? Don't you think opposing teams are gonna realize we don't have anyone back there and instead of touchbacks kick to the guy who is more of a threat to fumble? I like some of your insights but the AFC North might be the toughest division in football. There are some really good teams in the AFC period. Let's stick to reality.
  5. Are you serious? It doesn't matter if it's 1 game or 100 just the threat of someone with the proven ability to catch a deep ball is enough to keep secondaries honest and not crowd the box but I'm not going to regress with you just like when you had your Ray Rice pom poms out.
  6. At almost 40 Smith could hardly be considered a deep threat but every dog has to get a bone and Smith will have plenty of them this year since he is our only real weapon!
  7. 2014 playoff game- gronk/edelman/amendola combined for more than 250 yds and 3 td's ! Each of which was more than 50 yds. You probably think Jimmy Graham isn't a deep threat either. BTW why aren't you bandwagonning for Ray Rice to return to Baltimore. Sheesh
  8. Seems like some want to focus on one small part of what is a much bigger picture. In this case I most assuredly would love to see my Ravens have an amazing year but the deficiencies in this young team are too much to ignore. If we started with John Harbaugh's "dear in the headlights" look and his pretending not to know what exactly is going on with Perriman one has to ask the proverbial question , " Who is in charge here"? and we have to assume something is just not right!
  9. Does anyone remember the name Kubiak? He knows our offense better than our WR's do. Denver's defense runs the show in this game. Without a deep threat unfortunately this game is a laugher. 34-10 Denver
  10. Good predictions from everyone so far but the problem is at this point most everyone is guessing a bit and refusing to look at reality so here are a few real points that put us behind the 8 ball. Remember for every action there is an equal re - action . 1. Action-- WE have no deep threat. ( not even close to a deep threat. ) Re-action -- Defenses can crowd the line and at the same time neutralize Steve Smith Sr. with cover 2. 2. Action -- We have no legitimate RB to spell Forsette. Buck Allen is just plain scary. Re-action -- Forsette has to play more which wears him down and increases the risk of injury. 3. Action -- Our defensive front is porous without the rock Haloti Ngata. Timmy Jenigan is no rock and Brandon Williams is more like a roll. Which means we have to take chances and blitz more. Re-action -- Causes too much pressure on LB's to cover screen passes and quick throws in the middle of the field. 4. Action -- We have no reliable proven punt returner. Re-action -- Punts might be the single most important play in football while special teams will make or break any good team. Apoplexy during every punt may change the course of our season. 5. Action -- Chemistry between Joe Flacco and Marc Trestman appear to me to be slightly askew and not natural or free flowing. Trestman can be polarizing and is not a play-calling genius. Re-action -- Another OC trying to control Joe and keep him reigned in is definitely not what Joe wants and communications between the 2 could break down. Marc Trestman has proven he can alienate a QB more than mentor one. However we have Joe Flacco who I have come to believe that "all things are possible with Joe"
  11. I have KC winning the AFC West and San Diego getting the wild card. I don't believe Denver gets to the playoffs based on the simple fact that Manning is just to old and immobile.
  12. No wild card from the AFC North this year. The AFC wild cards this year will be San Diego and Buffalo. I stand by my predictions.
  13. Thats it sir think positive!
  14. Gonna be hard to compete in Denver with no deep threat. Remember who is coaching in Denver and who could possibly know this offense better than Gary Kubiak. Without Taliferro our run game has huge problems. Forsette is not a 3 down guy and that makes Buck Allen a very scary back-up.
  15. Of all the information in all those posts are you going to focus on one typo? For all my hopes about Perriman I think it's safe to say he's he is way behind and that is exactly what this offense doesn't need. And as the football world knows New England has Edleman and Gronk who both caught deep balls against us last year. Aren't you the same guy that insisted we couldn't cut Ray Rice because of salary cap issues and that he was just too good of player? Of course that was 2 years ago that I stated Rice had to go and well before his case and video hit the news maybe you have forgotten.... Aren't you also the same guy that said letting Jacoby Jones, Haloti Ngata and Torrey Smith go was fine even tho we are well under the salary cap and could have re-signed them to structured deals with plenty of room to spare. How about just staying on the topic of this thread. Do you have any relevant predictions?
  16. Actually this has nothing to do with Flacco. Joe has proven himself time and time again that debate is over. However I disagree about Trestman. If he is as Andy Benoit says then why did they run him out of Chicago. Obviously they felt Jay Cutler was more important. Trestman had all world Brandon Marshall, Forte and Cutler and this offensive genius couldn't produce a winning season in Chicago?
  17. Good insights Danny D but 8 and 8 would be realistic if we had some talented back-ups which we most assuridly do not. However there is some good news. We have some salary cap room to try and plug a few gaps but like I said we only have so many fingers. Fred Jackson would have been a nice addition because Buck Allen is just plain awful, and landing Reggie Wayne would helped a bit etc. etc etc. Let's go hypothetical for a moment. Can you imagine what our offense would look like if Forsette got an injury.
  18. Michael Campanaro Just sounds like a good football player!
  19. Even A Wizard can be wrong about a few things. You are a smart guy you must see the writing on the wall.
  20. He it's the guy who loved Ray Rice It is about my predictions about our team and the AFC this year. Seems some just can't maintain focus.
  21. Darn all of my research paperwork was eaten by my dog who is MIA and unavailable for comment. Who let the dogs out!
  22. I do agree with you about Campanaro- He plays like Wes Welker. I love him when he plays but unfortunately we can't count on him!
  23. Are you kidding? The Seahawks had Golden Tate , Baldwin and Kearse. The Pats had Edelman and Gronk was a deep threat.
  24. Um what about Edelman? I would also consider Gronk a deep threat.
  25. Bell is out for 2 games and they have the deep threat which is so important to any offense being successful. I'm not saying the Steelers will be an AFC powerhouse in fact they wont even get to the playoffs. However because of their offensive weapons they will win more games than they lose.
