  1. You guys are phenomenal on this thread and I'm happy to see some are questioning what kind of team do we have this year. This is going to be uncovered early in the season considering the blistering schedule. I think a huge can of worms has been opened starting with Trestman's game plan and play calling. I'm already calling for his ouster. Anyone remember how ugly it got in Chicago near the end?
  2. I'm not sure what you believe we will comfortably win with but you can bet your last $ with no downfield threats it changes the way defenses can scheme against Flacco and the offense. Even tho Oakland does not have the personnel that Denver has you can expect the Raiders defense to prepare very closely to Denver's game plan. Which was neutralize SSS with cover 2. Crowd the line and put tons of pressure on Flacco. A very tough game for us.
  3. I can appreciate your team spirit. I'm a staunch Ravens fan. However the loss of Suggs will have a profound emotional affect on the over-all swagger of this team for this game and I believe we are sitting ducks. This is going to be a very difficult game.
  4. Wow I don't see this game that way. I honestly don't think any game on the Ravens schedule will be an easy win but I do believe this is a trap game for the team. Everyone expects the Ravens to win and based on what I saw last week I think these 2 teams are pretty evenly matched. No offense from either team makes this a close loss. Raiders 13-10 Thankfully we have Cleveland next week.
  5. Anybody got a Raider prediction?
  6. Ditto that !
  7. Lets trade Trestman for Cam Cameron bout the same difference IMO
  8. I want to be wrong trust me ! I'm not always doom and gloom but I also like the truth and IMO I think we have put together a sub-standard team and I am just voicing my opinion. I don't want to flaunt anything - by the end of the season my wizardry will be apparent. For me I think my whole negative turn about this team started with 2 things. 1. The fact that John Harbaugh has continued to posture that he knows nothing about what Perriman's injury is all about. He knows exactly what's going on and it's insulting for him not to enlighten us all. 2. Then it was really a poor display of sportsmanship when Harbaugh ran across the field during the Redskins game and quite clearly IMO could be seen mouthing the F-word and wouldn't even own up to it. Give me honesty or give me nothing.
  9. Be afraid be very afraid. Better be equally concerned on the other side of the ball.
  10. Let's see--No Jernigan, no Melvin , no Perriman and good lawdy Miss Clawdy Asa Jackson might be back. Oh Yeah we be arrright. lol Airport? I don't need no stinking airport. The good news is the Bengals might get sideswiped in Oakland and the AFCN all goes 0-1
  11. Like I said if I'm wrong I will apologize and catch the next plane out of the country!
  12. I'm a Raven and will always be. I like the Bengals but only because Marvin Lewis is their coach. I appreciate your optimism and on some level I share it, however, I am also a realist and IMO SSS last dance is not the emotional advantage that Ray Lewis provided us, Furthermore when you talk about the emergence of all those guys sounds like something you pulled out of a box of lucky charms. Dennis Pitta is probably done. Campanaro can't stay healthy. Waller is a ? and will see very little actual game time and certainly not in the first 4 games. #18 hasn't practiced and assuming his injury is not part of a bigger injury issue ( which is a big assumption ) will not be up to game speed for at least a couple more weeks. Maxx has been hurt since he made that big first down. Crocket Gilmore is going to be a star in this league. Aiken and Brown are average run of the mill WR's. that to this point have shown no superstar potential and definitely not a huge concern for opposing defenses to fun past anybody. Keep up the positive thoughts-we need them!
  13. I am listed in the International Wizard Index. However lets stick to predictions and based upon all available facts, personnel and schedule sadly I have to stand by mine. Our team has the best LB's in football and a truly elite QB and a formidable O-line ( if they can stay healthy ) but without challenging WR's , an uncertain and unhealthy d-line, while pinning our hopes on Forsette ( what if he gets injured god-forbid), and a makeshift secondary -- things look grim. I'm not here to start no trouble -- I just want to do the Superbowl shuffle!!
  14. Not really off that much. 21-0 at the half , missed the Pats score by 3 points and and the Steelers last second touchdown doesn't count. Considering the line was 4 points I would say I pretty much nailed it.
  15. Ok well you are talking semantics. He is a warrior and played through his injuries and because of that IMO irreplaceable. It will show this Sunday but hey I've been wrong before.
  16. I want to be wrong. Don't you think I would love to see Ravens holding Lombardi ? Lets see who is in dreamland Sunday. Besides whats wrong with dreamland? I see you are spending time there as well. I kinda like it myself.
  17. I just to prove I am the Schwaami tonights game will be an easy victory for the Pats who are gonna come out with a big chip on their shoulder and simply eat the Steelers lunch. 31-7 Patriots.
  18. I must have missed something. Who is the mediocre return guy? I'm sorry but IMO without Ngata our d-line is unproven and unskilled. In the past few years everything our d-line did played off Ngata, He was the rock that anchored and cemented things. Ngata never got hurt. He brought his lunch to the trenches. I don't believe Williams and Jernigan combined are as skilled as Ngata. If Jernigan even plays Sunday that will never be more evident. Game prediction -- Denver's defense almost shuts us out 35-10. If I'm wrong I will apologize and catch the next plane out of the country.
  19. However I do think Charles James might step up and be the guy!
  20. The thought of Asa Jackson returning punts and KO's makes me nauseous. If it ever gets to where he is our only alternative our season is over.
  21. Are you serious? 3 guys can keep a secret if 2 of them are dead. Perriman is not some superman waiting to be unveiled. I didn't like the draft pick. Felt we should have kept Torrey, Jacoby and Haloti and we wouldn't be in this big of mess.
  22. I can tell you why your prediction is way off. You forgot the ketchup !
  23. I remember them all and I've only been totally wrong about 33% of the time so 2 outta 3 ain't bad.
  24. Objective is good but I should try to be more upbeat and positive. How about IMO the Ravens have the best linebackers in football bar none!
