Here is my updated prediction for the Bengals after finding out who is playing Sunday. As expected AJ Green is playing and their #6 rated offense rolls while we manage 3 field goals and a late special teams TD ! 34 - 16 Bengals

I can empathize with those who have google-eyed heartfelt team spirit and would mistake realism for being pathetic. However all of us Raven fans will take an emotional tumble this year with our team but those of us who are realistic and have the ability to recognize the writing on the wall with have the shortest distance to fall.

Thank you for being a realist. I totally agree with you. Even without AJ Green the Bengals are just too much and then the short week against the Steelers and we have to start thinking about next year which is so sad - I wanted so much more this year.

Agreed and I think we are going to have to bottom out before any significant change happens. With 0-4 a stark reality I think we start with Trestman. He was dysfunctional in Chicago and now look whats happening here. I can't put it all on Trestman but sooner or later one has to look at the whole coaching staff. Ozzie is great but Oz is old and his ideas and philosophies have not changed with the way football is changing. Harbaugh has done an amazing job but he doesn't have the same look this year instead almost has " the deer in the headlights " look. I have no idea where this road is going to lead but where there's smoke there's fire.

If you throw enough stuff at the wall somethings gotta stick. Just wish I was predicting Ravens victories .

You might think so but the same was said about Jim Harbaugh. Even tho that whole Niner fiasco was rigged from the beginning I for one am ready for a clean slate. I can promise you an 0-16 record would get Harbaugh fired. He is not untouchable.

Well IMO where we are right now is directly related to the coaches who got us here. It doesn't matter the mindset of the coaching staff - it's all about results. Did you listen to Harbaugh's post game press conference? To me he clearly seems like a guy who is completely out of touch with reality.

Without Suggs we have no swagger. However our overall personnel is the issue. IMO we have become milquetoast and prime examples of where complacent attitudes and poor coaching will lead. Honestly I think the problem has to begin at the top of the heap with Harbaugh, Trestman and Pees.

Ok after watching what happened today I am re-evaluating my prediction and it is not for the better. I think 0 and 4 is a stark reality.... I want to be the first one to say that Marc Trestman needs to go. Who calls that sideline throw near the 2 minute warning that stopped the clock and gave the Raiders exactly what they wanted ? Who calls that play except a guy that has no idea what he is doing. Trestman ruined things in Chicago and now he has brought his dysfunction here . Heads gotta roll

Carr is playing in this one and it will make a difference. He has a quick release and plays with that same kind of Philip Rivers type mentality. Going to be emotionally challenging for us on defense and what is our offensive identity? Last year it was apparent from day 1 what kind of team we were. I have to stand by my prediction.

If I was going to base it strictly on total offensive yards the Raiders out-gained the Ravens by almost 100 yards and though our defense fared better than the Raiders, Suggs took quite a bit of the swagger with him. I think the Raiders step up this week, They aren't completely dysfunctional and if you think this game will be a cakewalk you might want to re-evaluate that.
