  1. They were two different style players! Reavis is a consummate "man-on-man" professional and Ed Reed couldn't hold a Reavis' water bottle playing "man"! Ed Read was a "Ball Hawking Center-fielder" - two entirely different styles, and, therefore, he couldn't hold Ed's bottle playing deep middle!! And,.. to answer your "why he's not here helping" question; 4 words: Because it's a business!
  2. Well, b93333 I can agree, in part, with you! I'm in the 60-40% club - 40% who isn't so sure that Schaub's the same guy who put up those 4,000 yard seasons! I just hope he's not the guy Houston traded! Then, it's careful what you wished for because I was happy with our past back up but understand he wanted to move on! I'll tell ya what though - this one guy,... his name escapes me,... really looked good for the Bills!
  3. Don't get too "Beastie", Court,... we may not be able to afford ya and we're 2 year away from another ring! 2016 is the season we get it!
  4. I look for good things from Arrington! After all, he had Reavis as a tutor!
  5. I'm one of the folks who hope Dennis Pitta will take his SB ring and go out feeling he has been a solid contributor to the Ravens since "Day-One" rather than carried off on a cart being our lasting memory!
  6. No matter how slowly I type something or how I try to lover the temperature of my comment(s),... someone will misunderstand it! First, no way I'm confused with any "Debbie",... I'm the Dragon lol Again, while I don't dismiss your argument, I will repeat my quote: "Yanda's a fantastic Guard, no doubt, but whether he makes the HOF with 4 Pro bowls in nine years?" That said (again), I'd rank Yanda in the Top Five Guards in the NFL and if,..... IF he continues then he may garner more Pro-Bowls and if the Ravens win more Playoff Games and even another Super Bowl while he's at Guard, then, he may end up nominated for the Hall! But, as Andre Reed and Chris Carter showed by languishing so long, it's no sure thing! Therefore, I said, "Doubt it!" And before someone else says "gotcha" and posts that they made the HoF, my point is it was long, very long in coming and I don't feel like researching for a great player who hasn't made it to the HoF just to prove that we both agree Yanda's great!! Now, Harbs will always be a politician who is apt to over-state,... and, of that, I have no doubt!
  7. Which suggests a lack of focus rather than physicality, wouldn't you agree, Climactic? If he's been doing it for 7 years and, as Fabian Washington suggests, he ran it incorrectly, then he's not paying attention to details and fundamentals! The lack of focus may reflect in his declining tackling and sometimes, his sometimes erratic cover skills!
  8. This guy knows the drill! That's not preparing like a professional! The "cushion",... the tackling! His stock keeps slowly dropping with me!
  9. So it begins,... the "Harbaugh Hyperbole" that makes me go "Gaaaaa!" Yanda's a fantastic Guard, no doubt, but whether he makes the HOF with 4 Pro bowls in nine years? Doubt it! Let em fly,....
  10. I'm not knocking the statement but everybody jumped on the guy who said it was far-fetched! Perriman's small school,... no telling what they didn't coach him up on!
  11. Does sound lame doesn't it!
  12. I hear ya, and we must not lose track of the fact, as I mentioned on another post, that Breshad Perriman is still a brand-spanking-new, small school ROOKIE. Does he have tools? YES. Can he become something special? YES! We will see if he's worth the First Round pick, or if he's another Travis "Clank" Taylor! We just have to be patient!
  13. And,... that may well be! Neither of us will know until September; but Perriman is still a green, brand-spanking-new rookie no matter how many here believe he's the greatest rookie ever drafted because we drafted him! My comment calling Marlon Brown by name, especially to that neg voter, was my subtle way of saying, ... we have depth!
  14. Perriman will be an "up-and-down" PROJECT in the Pre-season so I hope nobody's expecting him to be polished by the start of the league play! MARLON-N-N-N-!!!
  15. I never thought I'd say "GREAT" to news of a popular player going PUP,... but I'm afraid Dennis is not ready to take a NFL season's wear and tear!
  16. I'll be here, in front of the TV! Please wake me when Training Camps starts,....
  17. Ray Lewis: "I can't come back from another injury and I won't take a chance on walking away hurt." Dennis Pitta, heed 'Musafa'... walk away!
  18. I love "Trench Warfare",.... I'm eager to see them both work!
  19. Again,... my statement was emblematic of the play that keeps serious consideration of Joe as a Top 10 from being made! I could name others but I don't need to recap an entire guy's career! It Still holds true for me!
  20. What "owe" are you talking about?
  21. The only two questions I want answered is (1) will he still give up the big "cushion" on 3rd Downs, and (2) will he stick his tackles better?
  22. I've noted some folks dogging Orr! I don't understand why; the kid has turned a chance into a career thus far!
  23. Yup, but J.J. and Kruger went on to successful careers! Adaleus and Bar did also! Purnell McPhee will be a beast for somebody but my statement was about the kid! Will we get him up to above-average and let him walk too?
  24. I've liked Marlon from the start! I would love to see those type of numbers you posted! Joe needs to make that happen. He can't wait until a guy has 2, 3 yards of separation - he needs to put the ball where Marlon (or anybody) can snatch it, or battle for it! You don't get that tool ordinarily,... you get that skill set when you're force to use that skill set!
  25. Re-read my last post to you and the others! That's my position! I'd cut and paste it (again) but you have it already!
