  1. Concur, with not liking them,... disagree with you - they are that bad!
  2. Bleeding purple over hear, but wondering what's the use? When we develop a starter, we let him go,... then go scoop up "discards" from other teams and field a mediocre team! Now, we're hearing K.O. may go,... meanwhile, how much is "Average Joe" bringing in 2016? We are steadily becoming the Baltimore "Browns"! This fan needs a transfusion of confidence!
  3. Hmmm, never read that "Future HOFers can taunt" Rule! It's the same taunt you see between Yanda and Kruger,... ex-teammates just "breezin'"!
  4. Buck Allen and Terrence West,... blazing bright spots! Is Oz on the Waiver Wire QB searching?
  5. I hope Schaub turns in a strong performance for his confidence and so that we can be competitive tonight! I also hope the "good week of practice" wasn't said by the same media person(s) reporting all the "highlight reel catches" from our WRs last summer! OY VEY!
  6. I was sad when the FO hired Trestman! Another "NFL Re-tread"! I was hoping upon hope that our FO and HC would show a spark of imagination and give one of Kubiak's "disciples" the nod [and $$$] as O-Coordinator to build around Joe! That, to me, was the smart move!
  7. Quote: "Joe [Flacco] is a Super Bowl MVP, and I believe he and Marc Trestman will be dynamic together. We have a Pro Bowl running back [in Justin Forsett]." EndQuote 1. Joe is the Super Bowl MVP, but he was annointed as such. Jacoby Jones played like the Super Bowl MVP he should have been named! 2 Joe and Trestman collaboration are already showing the cracks that will be apparent next year as Trestman puts more and more of his mediocre offense into the proven Ravens Kubiak System! 3. We do not have a pro bowl Running Back in Justin Forsett! We have a journeyman RB who happened to fit into Kubiak's scheme perfectly for one season! Quote: "Everything you do, you have to be thinking about the short term and the long term. For coaches, the short term focus is always the next game. But, you always have to have awareness of the long term." EndQuote. Okay, somebody tell me exactly what do we learn about our future plans from that statement? NOTHING! If he would have said our immediate focus is on strengthening the Secondary by A, B, & C, I can appreciate that. But basically, he said,... "the short term goal is, uhhh, short, but you can rest assured that the long term goals will be longer"!
  8. I wish the future of our Run game was suiting up in Ohio State, by the name of Ezekiel Elliott, but Oz has been mandated/dedicated to paying for players with $1 dollar bills! We may well have to settle with whose in the nest!
  9. What a difference a week makes! With the Ravens, firmly, out of contention my BP is lower and I'm not the grumpy dragon I usually am around this part of the season! I'm looking forward to seeing Terrance perform and more of the other younger Ravens as well! Of course, I still believe Harbs has assembled the most stoic, boring assistant coaches and game philosophy in the league since Kubiak left, so I'm not so enthusiastic about how he'll showcase the young birds! If his mandate is to try to win out, then we won't see any more than we've seen before!
  10. We're in the "Why not" phase! I was waiting to see Maxx Williams tearing up the field in 2015 like another Gronk, another Gates; now we have another one? Ok,... bohica!
  11. Four TEs? I'm like "meh", whatever! Ross cut for another return guy,... I don't quite get but I can live with it,... no choice! This team has not panned out anywhere near any of the glowing reports coming out of Training camp! Let em fly,... we are who they're saying we are now, not who they said in August! Ok, Suggs injury brought down the whole House of Cards! What? SSmith's? Hey, it's still our Baltimore Ravens - there is that!
  12. I just knew, with all the picks we had, that we'd pick up a big, bruising Back like a Jamal Lewis! I am usually wrong when I think we're about to make a smart move with the so-called "skill players"! We're reluctant to take a chance on a Todd Gurley for a Bernard Pierce or Taliaferro! I tout these guys because they are here, not for anything we've seen heralding their greatness! Same with the WRs! I guess all those guys who scouted those backs for us are gone!
  13. I can't argue with any of that! We used to have a rep for the defense getting off the field without allowing much more than a couple 1st Downs and at the worst a FG! Now, one never knows!
  14. Pardon me if I don't jump up and down about ANY news concerning Ravens receivers,... two words that have, recently, seemed like oxymorons! No matter who we get, Joe will throw to Aiken and Boyle and everyone will say to the critics: "Oh, Oh, the WRs can't get open, can't run patterns!" I don't know what's worst about the Offensive game: watching the passing game, listening to pre-season media hype about WR Highlight-Reel catches, or reading fan comments about how great Joe's numbers are during losses! At least our run game and Defensive Front-Seven are playing like NFL Pros!
  15. The moment a fan makes a statement like this, they come with pitchforks! I happen to think that having a top pick from between, say, #6 to #15 offers us a chance to nab a game-changer for the Defense! This, while we wait for our $$$'s worth out of Perriman and Maxx Williams! This season has shown that Webb's and Jimmy's salaries, then playing "small-Ball" with the $$$ on the rest of the Secondary - well, it ain't working!
  16. OH, Jimmy's "...playing too tentative",... that's what it is? That's what the Secondary's problem is? So, Webb's cushion on 3rd Downs and the overall lack of teamwork in coverage 20 yards beyond the LOS are systemic problems indicating that the players do not know how to play together as a unit!
  17. The Greek, usually I'm in sync with what you say but I can't say Monroe's just "gettin' paid"! Jah Reid's doing that and Eugene Monroe's consistency is still a notch above Hurst! Perhaps Hurst may grow some more by next year but Monroe's the Alpha Dawg on the Left right now!
  18. Tonight's game has nothing to do with trends under Harbaugh or since 1996,.... It has everything to do with the defensive secondary not being able to finish games! It's one thing when pressure on a QB lapses and gives him 7-10 seconds b/c he's scrambling and extending plays! This isn't usually the case! Balls are coming out in 3-4 seconds to open guys running across the middle or posts! This has everything to do with the secondary not playing as a team, players dismissing assignments because they feed into a fake, and players not knowing where they should be in the general scheme of the defense called! If they do any one of those things in the 4th Quarter, a close game will go into the 'Loss Column!
  19. Yes,... I've touted Marlon too,... but, how does one "unlearn" how to catch? I think he's "day-dreaming", feeling like the "Last Resort" when Smith, Aiken and Gilmore are on the field with him! Put somebody in who won't take plays off until he gets himself together, or gets gone!
  20. Yes, let his run with the 'Ones' but tell him when he's running open on a drag across the middle, he has to yell, "Joe, Joe, Joe,... WHOA JOE! Joe, Joe, JOE!" ... b/c newbies get no love and Flacco will be looking for SSmith or Gilmore every play! lol Let em fly,....
  21. Well,... I always hate peoples' need to paint someone as the "Best" or "Worst" or whatever! It's unrealistic! I will say that Brandon Williams has stepped into his role as the "anchor" of the Front Four, admirably! I would also add that given the light being currently shined on C.J. Mosley's "flaw" in his game i.e. coverage, there may be a case made for Brandon being the most effective player at his position on Defense!
  22. Let's just acknowledge that Fitzgerald will get his and hope that the Secondary can, at least, tackle to stop YAC. Let em fly!
