I meant sharpest tack compared to the collective group of football players I've met. He just didn't strike me as a great decision maker but we'll see. Still love him as a player.I've mentioned this before. I think if anyone can help him it's Engram.
There's probably plenty of people in the NFL who are stupid but don't commit crimes. Just saying
Having met Boyd he's not the sharpest tack in the box so I wouldn't shocked if it turned into an issue when he got a lot of money but I'd take the risk.ray Lewis was convicted of obstruction of justice in a double homicide, people make mistakes, shouldn't condemn everyone for one mistake in their younger years
Boyd has a DUI is the point I'd assume but I thought Gordon's real problem was weed. Both facts, but not sure how they're relevant to Boyd?
I don't know if anyone watches iZombie but I'm a few episodes back and just saw the part with this dialogue
Liv: "You know what I keep asking myself?"
Major: "Why, Why didn't the Seahawks just give the ball to Marshawn?"
And it cracked me up even though the joke is a bit old.
That look on Schaubs face chasing Shelby down lol
There it is! Atta boy Matt!
I love Schaubs initiative to get us that L
Has to be he's awful and apparently an idiot as you said. He makes JD look good. I bet Florida fans just can't get Grier back fast enough. On the other hand, I'm sure Harris is the worst QB Alabama faced all year, hands down.
Idiot.
From my understanding he decided to leave osu for the draft and changed his mind and went to EKU where he gets weekly drug tests and has been clean for a while. I love his pass rushing ability he uses some really nice technique but he is still a bit raw.Title pretty much says it all...
I'm currently looking at Noah Spence the DE/OLB from Eastern Kentucky who used to play for Ohio State but was dismissed after testing positive for ecstacy. 6'3" 261lbs, seems to be a decent athlete and did well at Ohio State. As with all players with drug issues its all about the interviews and whether you can confirm if they've kicked it or not. Just someone to look at for our 2nd or 3rd pick if we don't take an OLB early.

As far as Spence goes, its good that he'll be pushed down b/c of those off the field issues because he needs some work, too often he just tries to speed around the tackles rather than trying any sort of move, this leads to him way overshooting the QB at times and ending up 5 yards behind the QB. He's not a guy I would look at as a possible first round pick for us as he probably would be if he hadn't been dismissed from OSU but in the second or third I think he may be worth a look if he's kicked the drugs, one can only hope.
I think there will be a few project QB's I'd be interested in.
Treon Harris said Bama wasn't the best D they faced this year and said they're easy to figure out.
Gotcha. Yeah NIU just could not stop the run at all. Finally got around to watching it when there was 6 minutes left in the game. By then Bowling Green had already clinched the win.
Are you watching it? I know my boy Shawun got a pick 6 and Clint Stephens got a pick.MAC championship tonight and other conferences tomorrow.
Rather, were you watching it?
That's what you get when you recruit the guy who only wanted to play QB but every other team hated that idea lol.Harris, the Florida QB, is one of the stupidest QBs I've ever watched. If I was a Florida fan, I'd be furious. This guy is just terrible.
Yeah it looks fairly interesting. I actually saw Will Smith on campus in Pittsburgh while he was filming.Has anyone seen the previews for "Concussion"?
All about the dangers of football and the cover ups of said dangers. In theaters soon staring Will Smith. Yay!
I'm ducking out of this thread for forever now before I lose my sanity.
its an average it doesn't need to be that it varies on the year. Smh.So do you know someone that has thrown 3/4 of a pick or fumbled 3/4 of a ball away? SMH,,,,,,,lol
No he wasn't it's a very common misconception that he was.Troy aikman was slightly above mediocre. He just played on a really good team.
Reminds me of Joe.
techincally it equals 18.75.Cherry picked? When did i say he averages 19 int's a season? I believe you are mistaken the 19 ints for the 19 turnovers.
12.75ints and 6 fumbles equal 19 turnovers.
I don't think they are cherry picked stats, facts are facts.
It's in the 70's here but it's rained like 3 days straight. It's getting a little ridiculous.Yeah El Nino is hitting this year(which is kinda why the East Pacific has been so active with hurricanes this year). It is currently sunny here but at 50 degrees Fahrenheit(or 10 degrees in that other weird temperature scale that people use
). Have all of winter to look forward to as well.
Also, anybody watch Georgia Tech CB DJ White? I really liked his tape. I think he could be a mid round steal.
I'll take Lawson over Boyd personally despite going to Pitt currently and being a huge fan. But I get your point. If Lawson falls to the second I'm hoping we traded back in the first and have an extra 2nd for him and Boyd lol.I think the 2nd round is a good place to pick him up. I had Lawson in a mock and I think if it weren't for the injuries he would be in the top 15. I think when elite level talent like his fall to you in the 2nd round, then you take him. I do like Boyd a bit more simply because we could use another WR.
We have already seen this done multiple times in the past.
Once right here in Baltimore.
Big Ben's first Bowl
Mark Rypien
Russell Wilson(might be an exception)
Phil Simms
Troy Aikman
Jim Mcmahon
Brad Johnson
Eli-(might make this list)
The all had good teams and marginal QB's. So does the truth about Flacco seem more realistic?
Troy Aikman was not average. He was surrounded by tons of talent but was very good in his own right and was a top 10 passer in 10ish seasons. He played in a passer unfriendly offense where he usually utilized intermediate and deep passing all the while with a running back that couldn't be stopped due to the line.
I wasn't talking about joe at all. You said we should get a game manager that can average 230 yards 2 TD's and have minimal turnovers so I spread that over 16 games and you said he'd be cheap so I said that every team would want that guy and he definitely isn't a game manager. That's a pro bowler. He's 100% gonna make just as much as Joe probably way more. I never commented on joe in my previous post.he has never
Joe doesnt average 32 tds a season. Not including the playoffs he averages 22 tds a season this number includes the rushing touchdowns. While he also averages 6 fumbles a year with 12.75 int's a year. so he does just as much damage as he does good.
22tds and 19 turnovers a season??????? This is Franchise material? We have set the bar low here in Baltimore.
So, No I don't think that other teams are lining up to get a guy like that. Why do you guys defend him so much? Just look at the numbers and tell me that is a guy that you can rely on year in and year out.
Note; my numbers do not include playoffs
