  1. At this point in the season wins seemingly hurt us more than help us, even though watching our guys lose always sucks too. Even if somehow we won out and got to the playoffs, we are vastly undermanned and wouldnt be able to hold our own anyway, and would lose out on a top tier draft pick at the same time.

And with all of our skill players getting injured from the injury plague of death, I'm worried for Flacco, seeing him limping around is not a good sight.

But knowing the Ravens mentality we will fight it out to the end, likely win a couple more games and end up with a middy draft pick.

  2. I think the plan is to continue developing our TEs and continue with the same usage and rotations we have been utilizing.

Hopefully Maxx Williams lives in the weight room this year and really makes a big push going into next season, eventually overtaking Crockett Gilmore as our #1 TE, but the fact that we have 3 versatile weapons at TE bodes extremely well for our offensive outlook down the road.

  3. Well, starting Hurns this week was a bad call. I should have known it would be. He's been dealing with nagging injuries all year, but he usually got a week to rest up with limited practice before the next game. However, this week they had a Thursday game and that kinda ruined things.

Yea I was CLOSE to starting him but I feel like he is a little banged up, thought he wouldn't play against us last week due to injury but he did and he took several big hits and even took a few more crushing hits last night, I feel like he is probably hurtin.

  4. Ingram has delivered for me more often than not, but it is frustrating when they're doing a running back by committee and you know Ingram can dominate a game on his own. He could be putting up the types of numbers Dion Lewis was.

Yea even with his carries and snaps taken away he has been pretty consistent for nearly every game this season, if he doesn't get a TD he gets 80-100 total yards....but dude could be a top 5 RB with an uptick in usage.

  5. ODBJ didn't catch the ball, pretty clear on that one.

Not sure what that has to do with the quoted post...

But in regards to the ODB catch when you have one ref signalling TD and the other ref signalling incomplete then both signal TD only to have it ultimately reversed...looking like a damn replacement ref scenario... it makes you question what's a catch and what's not anymore.

  6. Honestly believe we cut him prematurely.  He's doing pretty good w/ the team that torched him last year.

Mehh I don't think so, he is a guy who makes a few plays but also gets burned alot too. A lot of teams gameplan against him and know he can get burned.

Project player who our weak secodary doesn't have time to develop

  7. You could also throw Timmy Jernigans ugly roughing the passer penatly that sealed Oakland's win into the mix.

I'll go with Justin Tucker in general, I feel like he has missed more FGs this season than any other year. His 50+ accuracy used to be better feel like he is having a fluky year.

  8. I agree, there is blurred lines on catches and the game play itself. I haven't been interested much since deflate gate

All the legal drama of the NFL is certainly a bore. Blowing up all that GATE BS only to lift the suspension, along with other cases of player Vs Goodell, long periods of blown up media coverage court cases and appeals and stuff.

This is football not law and order.

  9. I was wondering if football is starting to lose it's luster with anyone other than myself? I get it, it doesn't help when your team isn't playing well, but regardless, I feel as though these games are borderline unwatchable.

There are flags on what seems like every play, I can't tell what a catch is anymore, most every hard hit is a penalty, QB's are nearly untouchable...

It is tough for me to enjoy watching any game now. Anyone else agree? Disagree?

Verrry interesting, I too feel that there are definitely "boring weeks" or slower weeks with little production. And as the game changes and they continue to add stupid new rules or change old ones it seems that touch football might be in the NFLs future. Yesterday for example I was watching the Ravens game with an avid female fan and during the Kendrick Lewis unsportsman like penaltt where he put a questionable late hit on Yeldon I think it was, she was stunned by the call although I called the penalty before the flag was even thrown.

And also Odell Beckham's overturned "Megatron rule" catch where he clearly caught the ball maintained full possession while inbounds before having it ripped out of his hands while out of bounds...by former Ravens CB Rashaan Melvin. One ref signaled TD while the other overruled it, and the Giants lost.

Fans like big hits and bone crushing plays but the NFL does not, and with all the injuries players suffer I truly question what might become of the NFL 10 years from now. They make rule changes every damn off season and some of them are kind of questionable, I'd appreciate if the NFL left the constant rule changes to more minor changes and tweaks.

  10. Where the Mark Ingram Owners at? Dude rips off a 70 yard run finishes the game with like 5/77 with 2/13 receiving. I know the Saints were getting torched but to me he is 1B to Drew Bree's 1A on offense and he could have made a difference with more touches.

At this point I hope Sean Peyton does leave the Saints bc they need someone who will feed their top RB and quit it with all the rotational nonsense, Cj Spiller and Khiry Robinson aint no Darren Sproles. Ingram can catch the ball out of the backfield just fine too. He could be a top 10 RB if they would just give him the damn ball.

  11. After Dean Pees moves on, reach out to Ray Lewis and tell him we want Baltimore Defense back.

Ray seems to be taking a break from the game, focusing on family, and being an analyst If Ray decided to start coaching he would likely start on a highschool/college level and work his way up.

Great player, mind for the game, overwhelming motivational prowess...but not a lot of experience coaching.

  12. Cutler and Jeremy Langford surely put a dent on that stout Rams D, multiple 80+ yard scores..hopefully they are tired after all those big plays and will maybe allow us to make a couple...

then of course our D will give up a big play with seconds remaining, Rams steal the win, as per usual.
