Ravens resign S Jeromy Miles to 1 year deal

Kerry Rhodes needs to come out of his cave and play some FS for us....

Patriots signed him to a 1 year $12M contract.

Don't worry he won't be our 3rd stringer anymore. He will be our special teams ace, and reserve deep threat WR where he always makes an impact in certain situations. We are currently looking at a few free agent WRs and of course the draft is full of young studs who we could take. We are definitely NOT done with WRs yet this offseason...once Steve Smith is cut by the Panthers he will be high on our bidding list.

$3.5 per year, Hmmm...anyone know Jacoby's cap number? Im going to guess around $2-3M. This move makes me think we are considering drafting a WR in round 1 or 2.

It makes me happy...love Jacoby's style, he makes it fun to watch Ravens games. He is no top end WR but MAN he has made some epic plays for us over the years. Just hope we didn't have to break the bank...none the less another solid signing by the Oz man

So has Steve Smith been officially released yet..or what? I feel like this is taking a good while. Maybe they are still trying to field trade offers or something. Its going to be interesting when he does get cut to see if we are his first visit.

He gets open and the QB throws him the ball...he is covered by LBs and safeties in the slot just like he would anywhere else. I understand Bill Bellichek runs a great complex system there and he benefits from having a great QB, but Edelman is the one getting open and most importantly making the grabs. I still consider Edelman a B grade WR and believe he will get more $ some where besides Baltimore.

Exactly why I said I doubt we sign him...too much money for a B grade WR.

He has good hands converts 3rd downs, and plays in the slot. He is EXACTLY what Ozzie is looking for. My only concern with him and why I personally doubt we will sign him id the price.

D'qwell Jackson was really good too, Id say Dansby is a slight improvement on him. But they won't gain anything unless they get another good ILB to play next to him...to me thats why Jackson struggled so much last year.

Im pretty sure Brandon Marshall was a 4th rounder too.

Well Keenan Allen broke Aj Greenes record last year, and Robert Woods almost had 1000 yards too. If you invest in the right...NFL ready WR they could have success early. I could see a lot of WRs from the draft make an impact this year.

And so was Mike Williams of the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Im pretty sure we won a Super Bowl under that mantra...remember Torrey Smith was the highest draft pick we have invested on a WR in FOREVER and he was the 58th overall selection. We could notch a nice WR in this years draft between rounds 2-5.

I expect us to go both routes free agency and draft. If we go with someone like Smith, Nicks, or Edelman in free agency we can invest in a WR in rounds 3-5. If we choose to go younger and pickups a WR early in the draft we could grab a cheaper WR such as , Lance Moore,Nate Burleson. or Jason Avant.

Browns sign MLB Karlos Dansby to a 4year deal worth $24M. PERFECT for us...Daryl Smith won't be more than $4 or $5M per year which is pretty doable.

He will get over payed...Im thinking a contract similar to Danny Amendola's last year....around 5 years $30M
