  1. Good enough to make the top ten of AFI's top 100 of all time and win a TON of Oscars (the third was actually Best Picture, if I remember correctly).

3rd one was best picture. That's an opinion. I love the LOTR trilogy. But it's great as a series, not individually. It's the story that's great and it's what carries out into all the movies

  2. Get out

    :34853_doh:

As far as my favorites go(it changes but my top 3 is usually constant)

    1. Back to the Future

    2. LOTR: The Two Towers

    3. Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl

    4. To Kill a Mockingbird

    5. Forest Gump

    6. The Dark Knight

    7. Die Hard

    8. The Natural

    9. Lost in Translation

    10. The Patriot

They're not great films. They're good, and the second one is one of my favorites. But they're not The Godfather.  And  Iove the LOTR, but as far as films go, they're good for what they are

  3. Robocop(2014): 6/10.

That being said I liked it more than the original(which I was never a big fan if anyway. I'm expecting a lot of hate for it).

As for Clint. Man with no name is a great trilogy. I also like Dirty Harry movies so yeah. Some of the greatest catchphrases ever in that one.

Matrix... The first one is 11 on my favorites. 2nd one is good and the third one is total garbage.

  5. Give me yours then.

...I don't consider the Godfather a trilogy. The third one never happened as far as I'm concerned.

Disclaimer: I've also never seen all the Star Wars or any of The Lord of the rings. (Just can't get into them) but I'm pretty sure there's more than 3 of each. I could be wrong though.

Lord of the Rings is hard because they're LONG. Haha. But the second LOTR is one of my favorite movies ever so yeah

  6. You didn't like the creepy penguin?!?!

Nice assessment. Batman is also my favorite comic book character-movie-franchise in the growing lot. The Dark Knight is a great film in the perspective you noted. But my heart always sticks with Burton's and Keaton's 1989 Batman. Burton's Gotham city was a unique universe coupled with a strong performance by Keaton and Nicholson.

Ofcourse everything from the 80's gets a bump in my book.

Yeah. Penguin was just disgusting. It was a unique universe. Keaton was the best batman. I do think that Ledger is better as the joker though. Watching him was watching the joker, and ledger was terrifying, where as Jack was. Fun but chaotic.

  7. I went through all the Batman movies (Cept the Adam west TV one) since I did a study on Man of Steel.

Well I did that more for the reasons that I never understood the hate. For what it was it was a good flick. For a superman movie anyway.

Batman is EASILY my favorite superhero. He's a man amongst gods in the JLA. He's a martial artist(in the comics a master of every single one) and an intellectual at the same time.

Now, between all the batmen. They rank(as Batman)

    Keaton

    Bale

    Kilmer

Affleck(even though it hasn't come out yet)

Clooney. Literally all the blanks above him were better.

    So let's begin

    Batman: 8/10.

A good flick. A fun flick while keeping it darkish. It's corny, but it's a comic book movie, what do you expect. Keaton as Batman is perfect. He's sort of naturally intimidating, and no one would think he can do it. Which is why he's perfect for the role. Jack is a good joker, but that's about it for star power. Sure, Bob is there and so is Alfred but that's it. It's fun, but the action sequences don't capture batman. His hand 2 hand feats are flat out pathetic. And he kills someone. Batman doesn't kill.... He just doesn't.

Returns:7/10. I liked it. Keaton returns and this one does have a strong supporting cast. Michelle P is a welcome addition. But the dealbreaker for me was the creepy penguin. Where the Heath Ledger Joker was creepy... That was creepy in a terrifying way, not a disgusting way. Not as good as the first but a decent sequel.

Forever: 6/10 Not as horrible as many say, but not great either. More kid friendly, and the villains were turned into jokes. That being said, Dick Grayson is actually used semi decent here. Kilmer isn't a terrible batman, but not very good either.

    Batman and Robin: 0/10....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

And now to the Nolan flicks.

    Batman Begins: 9/10.

Say what you want about it being ranked too high, but this batman movie was the perfect origins story and the second best batman in totality. Bale is excellent as Batman. Not as good as Keaton(see the voice), but still intimidating. They also made Batman a martial artist. He's also more of an intellectual as Bruce Wayne. Making him he superior Wayne. I'm not too surprised though as Bale is the better actor between him and Keaton. The supporting cast is awesome, including Katie Holmes who I'm actually not annoyed with. Liam Neison is the bad guy, and while not the perfect guy to play Ghul, his acting chops make up for it. Kindve like Harrison Ford with Jack Ryan. He may be too old but because he's a great actor he pulls it off. It was the batman film I wanted as a fan.

    The Dark Knight 10/10.

There are some films out there that are perfect. Every scene is perfect and means something and the acting is spectacular. The awesome supporting cast returns with one replacement. And Maggie is a better actress than Katie anyway so it's not a big miss. Aaron Eckhart and Heath Ledger are both perfect for their rolls. I wasn't watching actors when I was watching then. I was watching Harvey Dent and The Joker. That was pretty cool to see.

The fight scenes are spectacular, the effects are good. Only complaint I have is that damn voice..... But that's it.

But I want others to understand. I gave it a 10/10 because it is the perfect crime drama with batman in it. It's not really a superhero movie if you think about it too much. The Avengers also has a 10/10 in my book but that's because that's what a comic book movie should look like. But as a FILM in totality, the dark knight is better. As a superhero flick. I'll take the Avengers

    DKR: 8.5/10.

Bane makes the movie work. I liked Catwoman, but she was underutilized, and let's face it, Batman kindve sucked in the movie. But what would you expect. He's out of commision for 8 years. If this were batman from The Dark Knight, he would've mopped the floor with Bane. Also, the voice gets worse, but it's a fun movie because Bane is a big walking man of quotes.... Literally everything he said is quote able.... EVERYTHING.

  8. Divergent is a tale of two films.

The first half: Enders game. Boring and more boring.

The second half is a good action flick. Woodley even gets a one liner and the finale is exciting.

It's a decent movie but it's not as good as the hunger Games was

  9. I'm not a big drinker, but I may have to get a few beers in me before watching Sharknado 2. I laughed so hard at the first one just because it's so ridiculous.

The freaking handgun gets me every time haha.

I need to make a shark related movie that's so ridiculous so I can retire at 18..:

    Sharks Attack Hollywood ;)
