  1. Yes the O line is trash right now, and Wallace and Perriman keep dropping TDs, but Trestman also needed to go. We dont have any real super stars on offense but there's no talent deficiency either. its ridiculous that we cant score.
  2. Guess you would prefer no one as returner because that was what we had before Hester. returner isnt some special unique position. you can make literally any player a returner and we're not going to get anything out of Hester we couldnt get from someone else.
  3. Well that's the point. He won't just "Fair Catch" or fumble like the rest of them. He also can fill in as a receiver as he did in Atlanta. He wasn't that bad at that either. if he's not fair catching, that's a problem. Every ball is not returnable, especially not most punts. We're loaded at receiver and Hester is terrible as a receiver. The only good plays he's ever made as a receiver were on bubble screens which are basically long hand offs. He's not getting anywhere near the backfield either, way too deep to throw a 33 year old return man between the tackles.
  4. It's not about TD's. It is about not muffing the kicks and field position. He is 10 times better than anyone on our roster doing it. Makes perfect sense. so you're just gonna ignore the part where he's only gaining one net yard over the default starting spot? we have plenty of people on the roster who can fair catch...we dont need to give Hester a potential $4M and a roster spot to do that.
  5. this dude really only plays special teams and he's on retirement's door step. $4M for what?! at least 3 million of it has to be tied to offensive contribution which i dont expect to see.
  6. fans have been right about Ozzie screwing up before and they inevitably will be again. they're not all uninformed amateurs and he's not perfect.
  7. Devin Hester is a wasted roster spot. return TDs are few and far between for him in recent years. Hasnt gotten one on a kick off since 2011, and hes averaging just about 26 yards on kick off returns over the past 4 years which would be great IF a touchback didnt already net you the 25. and obviously he's not contributing much on offense. dumb move. and i thought we were over holding a special spot just for a returner. we really need to be.
  8. vehemently disagree. Cordarelle has been relegated to return duty because he's not been a very good receiver at all. Mike Wallace, Stefon Diggs, and Chris Johnson all got there AFTER Cordarelle, and he's still behind the 3 of them PLUS Jairus Wright, and Adam Thielsen on the depth chart. At this point, Cordarelle is only called a receiver because "return specialist" isnt really an official position on a depth chart.
  9. you couldnt get ANYTHING for a starting Left Tackle? smh
  10. 2 things: 1) Joe couldnt even walk in that game. 2) WHY are you talking about 2009? what importance could anything that happened in Joe's second season possibly have on any conversation that holds any remote relevance? WHAT exactly are yall talking about? and again, why? This sounds like an argument for the sake of argument.
  11. OMG with the 4000 yards again....what an overrated milestone. we dont play like that. If it never happens i wont give a damn. No one else should either. we win. thats the important part.
  12. he's obviously not going to wear 19, dont think that even really had to be stated let alone addressed in 2+ paragraphs.
  13. You cant trade a free agent. "Free Agent" means no team has rights to you. they didnt let anybody go, he wasnt theirs to let go in the first place.
  14. Colts have Vontae Davis and who? Arizona has no idea who they're going to replace Powers with, except maybe Tyrann, but he's pretty committed to playing safety. its not that hard to look up peoples' depth charts.
  15. he's constantly knocking down passes and has 4 picks in the last 3 seasons. what are you talking about?
  16. Finally, a corner move i can like. This kid is plenty capable, i feel good about having him around. Starting opposite Patrick Peterson is tough.
  17. Don't get too hyped up like i did last year; it's a hard let down. Just looked at PFF top 101 players: Ravens - 1 (Yanda - God bless him), Pats 7, Bengals 5 & Steelers 4. Hope we picked right in the draft this year - lot of misses lately. this literally means absolutely nothing.
  18. Urban played great on ST. Wagner struggled last year but still made an impact. Urschel started at 2 positions on the OL and played well. Jensen even had a rough start but closed out the season really well. BRent Urban recorded 5 assisted tackles and 1 sack. Thats not an impact. Brent Urban did not score points or stop the other team from scoring points from special teams. you cant struggle and make an impact, thats impossible and makes no sense. you're reaching way too hard here.
  19. Zadarius Smith, Buck Allen, Nick Boyle, Urban, Campanaro (before injury), Urschel, Taliaferro (before injury), Juszczyk, Ricky Wagner, Ryan Jensen, (Pernell McPhee, Tyrod Taylor count as last 5 years too) He asked for guys who made an impact, not just a list of guys who ever played a game. you cant make an impact if youre not on the field, so anybody you have to write (injury) next to is disqualified. As for most of the rest of these guys: Urban, Urschel, Wagner, and Jensen dont make an impact by mere virtue of being on the field. Our o line was trash last season. If those guys made an impact, it was a negative one. Urban only played 6 games and barely recorded a stat. Pernell McPhee did not play for us last year. Neither did Tyrod Taylor. And in the days Tyrod Taylor did play for us, he didnt make any impact. he only played one real game for us. He threw for 149 yards, 0 TDs and a pick. His Total QBR was 62, passer rating 60.
  20. we have WAY too many RBs. wish theyd treat the WR position like this where we actually need 6 or 7 guys.
  21. we have 5 4th round picks, an dyoure nuts if you expect any of them to be spectacular on any level. it hardly matters
  22. Sounds like Demetrius Williams. lets hope im wrong.
  23. Yay! All set to pick up 7 more project players that won't pan out and will have us at 5-11 again in a couple years.
  24. That's why their "color rush", so teams can try something different. Although to be honest, I thought most of them were horrible. Hopefully the Ravens can pull off using MD state flag colors, but if their anything like those horrid uniforms we wore against KC I may have to turn off the TV and listen to them on the radio.UGLY!!! its got a lot more to do with breaking the monotony of over used colors like blue, white, and black; at least one of each you can find in pretty much every NFL color scheme. Al the color rush uniforms have featured colors that are actually associated with the team wearing them, typically giving an accent color the full spot light instead of the team's usual primary color. seems like the Raiders used to have some gold in their logo once upon a time. fine whatever. The Lions and the Cardinals still dont make sense though.
  25. how do the raiders and cardinals get yellow uniforms? and the lions black? that makes no sense. also, i hope they figured something out for all the poor color blind people who went straight back to the 1950s every thursday last season.
