I have no idea what game you guys were watching. Joe did not play a bad game. He took what was given. The Ravens were once again out coached period. It's common knowledge the Pats will take away what you want to do. So have a plan to combat that or to go in a different direction. WE did neither. Once again we showed up totally and completely unprepared. We were flat, uninspired, playing scared (This IMHO was the biggest mistake) with no spirit or drive. Match that with mediocre play calling and poor execution. Though the pats were a big part of the poor execution. It makes me crazy, we know that the Pats game plan for us down to the tiniest detail and we don't do the same. Everybody looked confused, shocked and intimidated. The run game once again went in the dumper. I said before that depending on Jimmy Smith was a mistake. He can't stay on the field Even with being out coached, out planned, out played we still had a chance. Billy McCheat knows the secret that we just don't get -- IT"S IN THE DETAILS!!

It really is - Who wants it more. And discipline, the zebra's will be using any excuse to help the Pat's win. Don't help the helpers. ( I truly believe some day in the future some retired zebra will write a tell all and admit the Z's played favorites. Maybe even took bribes, there I said it!!)

I don't want to be a Debbie downer, yes I am pumped. We need serious game planning this week (every week!). Slick Billie B and Tommy B will be game planning and double game planning us. We need that running game and our secondary to be at the top of their game. If Joe is protected it could be the game of the year. We need a solid game plan and a solid backup plan. The Pats are not a team to dismiss. I think if we plan well and then execute we will be holding a football clinic. If we revert back to playing not to lose, we are lost.

I just don't see this as a big deal. Yawn.....

Cheers man! Great post! I'm right with ya! My thoughts exactly. Take a look at the NFL folks, every team has issues. Is it the parity thing, lack of good coaches everywhere not just here or a phase. Who knows? We have a new "OC" who has not had time to do much. Things are better lets keep working. These guys play hard give them some credit.

If your power ranking is 15 going up, or down a few points means what? Your mediocrity level is increased or decreased, but hey your still mediocre. Yeah, that's important..... sigh

These guys just don't know how to win. There truly is no leadership on this team. It was also the same predictable calls, the same mistakes, over and over. Why not go no huddle, they didn't even try. Why did they abandon the pass rush. Why did we really stop rushing. I watched Dallas play most of the season. Prescott is good for a rookie but; when we were hassling him he was Not so good. You hassle any QB and their performance declines. So many questions no answers. Everybody acting like well when Jimmy Smith comes back, really. He's such a delicate little flower, he'll play half a game and be out another 2-3 weeks. To me he has never been that good. He certainly is not the Ravens last best hope. Then there's Joe. I have been a staunch Joe supporter, it's just getting harder and harder to defend him. Joe, take control of the offense, light some fires. He didn't play badly he just didn't inspire. They played better but; their still swimming in a sea of mediocrity. Mr. Yanda thank You, you are a wonder. Steve Smith, please think about maybe another year, you are joy to watch..

I agree. I am a big Joe fan but; something is amiss. I have also suggested benching him. He needs a wake up call. There is a large problem somewhere and the Ravens need to sit him down and have a hard conversation.(Yeah that's gonna happen with woosey , I don't care if does bring the team down Harbs). We were playing the Steelers so I was not expecting big plays and big displays of offense. Even if we lose Joe needs to be the guy pushing everyone else, he needs to get to the line quickly and he needs to learn to "See and react" quickly.

I've watched his antics for 13 yrs. He is a drama queen period. He's always hurt he always plays and many times leads his team to a fantastic win yada, yada. I stopped being fooled by his antics years ago. This is no hit on his talent or toughness. He is in my opinion the #2 QB in the NFL. His credentials as a human being are suspect but; QB skills are scary real. He wants to be the hero and he wants to make sure everybody knows it. He's a diva.

@John Urschel --- I'd love to check your paper on wait, wait !! I have to copy and paste this ugh, ugh paper got it - on "graph disaggregation " Makes perfect sense to me. Especially the part about --- "Spectral graph bisections are a popular heuristic aimed at approximating the solution of the NP-complete graph bisection problem." That's stumped me for years. I guess that degree from Podunck Community Collage just wasn't worth it. RATS!!

I agree 100% with Eisenberg it starts and ends with the O-line. Running and passing. Does Joe have some responsibility yes but; he IS NOT the major problem. We keep having the same problems over and over and over. Is Joe dropping the ball is Joe running the wrong routes, is Joe not getting open, is Joe not opening lanes for the running backs? Is joe calling the losing game plan. Is Joe getting an excessive amount of penalties? Yes, Joe is to slow to the line and Joe is not leading this team. And you have beaten the mechanic's to death- hoRA!! But; Joes mechanics are part of a long list of recurring problems that never get fixed. Come on people it's a team sport. Everyone on the team except maybe Justin and crew needs to step up. The coaching staff needs to stop phoning it in and stop giving away points, also we need to develop our WR's for once and the "D" needs to stop giving away TD's. And that bend don't break, we won't even go there. I'm sure all this will happen before the next game, yeah.. What's the sum total of all this, chaos. Who's head does all this disarray fall on??? OH well lets blame it "all" on Joe..... And why do we keep drafting a bunch of sissies? Does anyone in the FO do their homework??? But; John says all this stuff is easily correctable, just not by him.

I like Joe Flacco. I think he's a good decent man. Maybe that's what's wrong. Look at the "GOOD" QB"S. I'm not going to get into that elite nonsense. But; look at Brady, Big Ben, Rivers, Dalton etc they are jerks. They are obnoxious over bearing "jerks". AND they are good QB's. They are driven to perform. I am not seeing that in Joe. I have no idea what goes on in his head or anyone else's. What I do know he is not playing well. And I agree, the line sucks, he's being beaten up AGAIN, receivers are dropping balls and penalties are a problem. BUT!! That's just not a good enough excuse for casually returning to the huddle when were losing or even when we are winning. There is no excuse in anyone's universe for getting a delay of game penalty at the end of a game we're losing. I think he needs to be benched until further notice or he shows the desire to really perform and more importantly be the leader of this team. There is no fire in the belly here period. Maybe he just doesn't want to be here??

Not the worse coaching group in the NFL but; a pretty continuous level of mediocrity. We do not have one coach that is above average. Our head coach is clueless and has been since the day he arrived. Being clueless when you arrive is not so awful being clueless 9 yrs later is a travesty. Then there's Joe I have defended Joe and most likely will continue to defend him. He has a lot of talent. Is he dumb, lazy, what? He has progressed very little since arriving here. He has been beaten senseless with this continuous lousy line. Maybe he really is scared. I can't guess as to what will work. I do believe he has been poorly coached. Also no one gets in in face and demands performance.. Then there's the FO who have been given unwarranted glory for stumbling onto an occasional gem while screwing everything else up. Same problems over and over. We have had a lousy secondary for how many years. Our O-line is inconsistent, ; our receivers have talent but; don't perform. Our "D" no longer feared or respected. This is not a good team. We have the talent so my thinking says it's the coaching or lack thereof. I believe these guys play hard and want to win they just don't know how. WHY?

I have to give Joe an apology. I expressed my disappointment with his recent play. I can't get the games in Florida without refinancing my home. Anyway I caught the Ravens - Giants game on replay Tuesday or Wed night. I was calm and collected and watched without the usual nervous and crazy expectations, I just watched. These replays don't show all the game but; enough to get a pretty accurate idea of play etc. Joe played a good game. The team actually played a pretty good game. I know, I know not good enough. We have problems no doubt about that. It's just not as bad as presented and only seeing snippets is truly unfair on my part with a rush to judgment. My apology Joe and team...

I've read all these posts and everyone has great comments. I have to say I'm a great Flacco fan, I remember well when we did not have a franchise QB, Joe on his worst day is better then any QB we have had. The Ravens have never been a scoring team. We were all about "D", then came the big deal about having offense. Now we have neither; curious. I have been really disappointed with Joe lately. I moved to Florida and can't afford Sunday Ticket or whatever that phony stuff is. I have to watch other games and watch the ticker at the bottom to see the scores yikes. Anyway I watch the stuff on utube. This week I was aghast(I like that word) oh wait my point; we're losing and nobody is moving to get in position the QB is in a coma and we get a delay of game penalty. I couldn't freaking believe it!! I love Joe but; for that any coach worth his salt would have benched him until further notice. I've just never seen anything so gross. So what's the problem with this team -- EVERYTHING!!! Harbaugh has lost this team, Joe has lost any drive he had. The fans are sick of Harbaugh and his we're going to do this, we're going to do that while he actually does nothing. Well except get in front of any and every camera he can. I have never been a Harbaugh fan he is a song and dance man. He belongs in marketing and we need a coach....... sigh

I don't believe a word he says about anything. I think finally he's scared. This is a knee jerk reaction to save his job. I have mixed feelings, yes it needed to be done but; why another Philly ex. So far Harbaugh's decision making is and has been suspect. I'd bet tons of money if I had any, that Harbaugh was told at the end of last season no play offs this season, no job for you. Otherwise we would be seeing and hearing all the same lame excuses, arrogant behavior and blatant denials of weakness and continued ineffectiveness as has been his MO for far to long. Maybe he'll spend a little less time being a star for the media and a little more being a heat coach, that pays attention to his team and what's really needed to win..

He is a song and dance man. He was ST coach and not a particularly good one. All he knows is blather and shine on that's how he got hired. He said what Biscotti wanted to hear. Now I hope Biscotti is watching closely and this guy is gone so we can get our Ravens back....

John Harbaugh MR Mediocrity. He is a poser and he is being exposed. I said this 2,3 yrs ago that time would tell. I got neged, threatened and all manner of insults. How do you like him now? Once again poor coaching all around. Another very bad "O" coach, another lousy "O" line. Another year of jeckel and hyde defense. And yet we hear over and over and over we have to play better. Hey John ya think? Mr I won't apologize, not to worry we won't apologize for not waving GOOD-BYE!!!! TICK, TOCK....
