Yes, different type of QB, although certainly not the "he uses his mobility" type of QB that everybody thinks he is (40 yards rushing a game). Playing better than Joe this season, but also not really elevating his team to a level where they are any better than they've been before he was here. And if you're not doing that, there's really no point, because no team is paying top dollar for guys who don't do this. Teams aren't paying top dollar for guys who throw a bunch of TDs or for a bunch of yardage... those shoes ain't hard to fill either.

What???? Are you even serious?  He is a game changer. Did you watch the Seahawks game at all?

I said: he's better than Joe, not playing better than Joe at the moment.

    Just better!

I still can't believe people are still on the Flacco is overpaid wagon. Look at the other QB's in the league and what they are getting paid. Bradford, Osweiler, and several other mediocre quarterbacks getting paid pretty close and they haven't done anything. It is the way the league is going. Quarterbacks will always be overpaid. They touch the ball every snap and they are hard to find any decent ones so you have to gamble.

Flacco has looked just like normal Flacco to me this season... The O-line and receivers not getting open has been more of an issue in my eyes. Doesn't get time to find people after his 2nd read sometimes not even after his first. Steve Smith being there last week helped A LOT same with a healthy o-line.

He cant hit wide open receivers and you blame the receivers.........????????  What?????

    1. Because he doesn't make $120M. In his career he hasn't even made that much yet.

    2. The alternative is the Jets, or the Bills, or the Browns, or any of the countless other teams that spend year after year, draft after draft, decade after decade, just praying that they find an "adequate" QB like Joe.

I wonder how many coaches and GMs lost their jobs during that time because they never had a single QB as good as Joe? Think maybe that cost them and their franchise something? Where are all their Lombardi's they got from all those QBs who were just as good as Joe? Where are all the rings they got? Did I miss them?

I know you're not a research guy. You're more of the throw a bunch of baseless opinions at a wall and make them stick kind of guy. I understand the laziness... I really do. Research can be a very scary thing. It can oftentimes shatter a weak narrative in a matter of seconds, and then there would nothing left to talk about.

    I get it. Its hard.

For the record we have Joe and had a qb better than him sitting behind him for years.

Not that hard to find a Flacco.

You are borderline delusional to think that we are sunk without him. As i see it, right now, he isn't doing anything that I cant get out of Ryan Mallett.

Since you like research where does Joe rank amongst staring QB's in the NFL right now?

    OK, and?

Kind of ironic that you would post this in the same forum as you mentioned Tyrod, since, you know, Tyrod isn't averaging 200 yards.

Diffrent type of Qb, but you know that already.  With no receivers healthy. Still has 10tds passing with three picks. He is better than Joe.

So my reaction when he limped off the field was; next man up, those shoes aren't hard to fill.

It isn't obvious? He's tentative, he's making bad decisions under pressure, and he isn't moving around the pocket nearly as well as he usually does.

And the thing is -- we all know the reasons for all of the above. You'll just have to excuse me if I think his first eight years is more indicative of who he is than half a season playing in a dumpster fire of an offense.

Fly his first eight years aren't all that good either!!!

    Just saying!

This isn't in defense of him, but what about putting pressures in the stats as well? What about qb hits?

This really doesn't matter. Flacco is flat out playing terrible.  At this point most of the Ravens fans are wondering if he should keep his starting job.  It's really that bad even after the Pittsburgh win.

  7. I know that a lot of the reporters don't ask the tough questions due to Harbaugh's tough responses.

But if you could ask any question during the presser what would it be?

Hopefully they read this and realize we are sick of the company questions.

My first question would have to be, in the last presser with Harbaugh,

Why reference the run game and you only attempted 10 runs? The only thing wrong with the run game is the ten attempts.

What's fair? That I won't harp on a QB that has been hit and pressured more than any other in the league, and then if that's not bad enough, his WRs dropped the second most passes of any team? Even his OC got fired because he can't do his job! Don't let these people brainwash you into thinking that "it's only fair to blame Flacco since we're blaming everyone else." Put the blame where it belongs.

    Not true!!!!

I really don't see why people think Josh Johnson is head above heels destroying Mallett... Mallett has not made really any mistakes. There was the one interception that bounced off of Waller that was not on him. Other than that he has been throwing well and he is a Flacco clone. I really don't see the big difference between the two and I really do think Johnson is being overrated at this point. Reminds me of when people were calling for Flacco's head and for Tyrod to start a few years back.. Hurts my head.

Who knew the Tyrod Taylor crowd was right.......

Everyone who watches football. Not that hard to see from an economic standpoint and pure athleticism who is the better option.

If nothing else Tyrod would have left money on the books to upgrade the entire team.

Stuck with Joe because fans see what they want to see.
