What good defense????

Flacco has maybe two good seasons in his entire career. He is actually slightly below average. He is a game manager, that needs a lot of work on his mid range throws. His average passes is 6.3 that means he is a glorified check down guy with an occasional deep ball (that he throws pretty well). If we are honest with ourselves, he cant make players great, because he is not good enough to do it.

Flacco was good???? How so?

Lets no sit here and act like Flacco is not a problem. He is currently top three in Attempts. 13th in yards per game soon to be 14th, Eli hasn't played yet. A meger 4/4 touchdown to interception. I won't even count his fumbles. A 79.3 Qbr that's good for 34th in the league. A 6.3 yards per catch average (41st in the league). All of this and he has played some of the worst defenses the NFL has to offer. Why cant we just admit that he needs to much to be great? We can't get him what he needs at the salary he commands. Flacco is an average QB and has been his whole career. In a passing league his numbers should be way better than that. Especially being in the top three in attempts. Now i guess its the lack of weapons and drops.....smh enough is enough. We are lackluster on offense and our games are painful to watch. We don't have any superstars on this team. Best players on this team Brandon Williams ,CJ Mosley, Yanda, Tucker, SSS (in his late thirties), Jernigan and Judon are beast (young and upcoming prospects) then everybody else. Suggs didn't get mentioned because his play is on the decline. If we're honest with ourselves this is the only real talent that we have for the future. Yanda and SSS are getting older.

That may be the best offensive line in football. The only real head scratcher here was, our coaches decision to trot that massive o-line back on the field for a 3rd and 16 rather than a 4th and 6. Why gamble? Unless..... you don't believe your offense could drive down the field against one of the worst defenses in the league.

Couldn't agree more. He just looks scared to me. Ice in his veins my behind. That man is scared to death in the big moments. You would think after the Super Bowl run that he would have more confidence and be more poised. But no. More weapons equals the same old production. Middle of the league in passing and we haven't played one solid defense.

Seriously, what is it with our offense? Flacco with weapons is like a fruit basket without fruit, just a decorative piece. This offense is lousy and has been for years.

Wow! Dropped pass in the final drive then it was all Flacco. Terrible throws against a garbage defense. Its sad, the record does not indicate how bad we are on offense with all these weapons, SMH. Better luck next week. Terrible showing against the first decent team we have played all year.

After watching this guy in the preseason, I'm not at all impressed. He isn't even making splash plays. Can't get off a block. Bad angles of pursuit. Unable to read the offensive line to dissect plays. Myles jack was our best option here. We totally missed on this draft. Why is this guy here. What can he do?

I definitely agree with you here. In all honesty and being fair to Flacco, he is only overrated because of his salary. Which is the going rate for superbowl winning QB's. But as far as his on the field play if he took 70 million for 5 years you wouldn't hear any complaints.

Flacco is definitely overrated. This should come at no surprise. I have him as the most overrated QB in the league. JMHO

Another nice fluff piece for Weddle. To answer the question; "who wears the headset?" Lets just go with a guy that has at least played a down for the team he is wearing it for..... i'm really not sold on Weddle at all.

I think a lot of you guys are missing the point here. Do we have SSS? Yes. Coming off a season ending injury. Mike Wallace? Yes. Hasn't played a down but looks very good in limited work (I've always liked him). Kamar Aiken is slightly above average and needs time. The reason why the Perriman hit was so hard is because SSS was going to play a more limited role coming off of a season ending injury at his age. Perriman is a total waste of space at this point. You guys can remain optimistic. I'm just being real.

This is on the coaching staff period. How in the world does the man that does the most complaining about the rules, not know this one? Unreal and unnecessary. nothing to be gained here.

Dixon will have the biggest impact. I think he is the best back in the draft if he hits the weight room and gets a solid meal plan. He is strong at the point of impact. He stays low and gets small in the holes. Shows a decent burst when attempting to get to the second level. Nice hands and pass protection. All he needs is a decent coach and weight training he looks polished already
