  1. Okay so let me try! Ball placement- on deep throws way to many OVER AND UNDERS. Pocket Awareness- We all know his pocket awareness is terrible. Throwing jump balls in the middle of the football field when he gets rattled. -We have all seen the deer in headlights look on his face plenty of times. 22tds a season with 12.75 ints and 6 fumbles a year. That is terrible management of a football game. Is this enough supporting truth? I'm not trying to be rude if its sounds like it. I'm just answering your post.
  2. Flacco is a QB he is not a franchise QB. He is replaceable. Matt is doing okay in his role as we speak. He's not a franchise guy either. Flacco is essentially a new Matt Schaub. Alex Smith? He just a game manger he's not better than Flacco. He's in company with him though just because he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. He just a serviceable QB. Even i know Flacco is better than serviceable.
  3. he has never Joe doesnt average 32 tds a season. Not including the playoffs he averages 22 tds a season this number includes the rushing touchdowns. While he also averages 6 fumbles a year with 12.75 int's a year. so he does just as much damage as he does good. 22tds and 19 turnovers a season??????? This is Franchise material? We have set the bar low here in Baltimore. So, No I don't think that other teams are lining up to get a guy like that. Why do you guys defend him so much? Just look at the numbers and tell me that is a guy that you can rely on year in and year out. Note; my numbers do not include playoffs
  4. In all honesty i think fantasy Football is ruining the league. I see a lot of betting calls being made.
  5. I disagree, being in position means you understand the defense. Making the play when the play presents itself, is easily correctable. It's usually just refining your technique. You can play much faster when you understand where you are supposed to be on the field. This takes time.
  6. That was a long winded post just to say you love Flacco to a fault. All players that play the QB position and make the playoffs in the NFL have a chance at being a Superbowl winning QB. Apparently looking at Big Ben's numbers in his first Super Bowl you can manage a game if need be, when you make it there. This, kinda being my point. You don't need a Big arm QB to win a Super Bowl. You just need a guy that doesn't turn the ball over, and manages the game. With Flacco's current contract we are all but saying; "We are going to ride you to another Superbowl". When the past two seasons after losing some of our key pieces to free agency (Pernell Mcphee.....i'm still mad about this ) he has yet to make a return to the playoffs. So your Golden guy is trending in the wrong direction. Which furthers my point. If we are able to get a guy, that can give us 230 yards a game and two scores, while limiting turnovers, we can win. A guy like that just can't cost 120 million.
  7. Lol....... No. Close though!!!! It's me Troy Smith..... lol .... Hard to debate a guy with two Flacco shirts as his avatar anyway. Happy holidays! I will send you two Brandon Williams Jerseys.
  8. This topic needs to be discussed. No longer will Flacco be absolved from poor play or scrutiny. His play has been marginal for his entire time in the league, minus a phenomenal Super Bowl run. We can argue he doesn't have great pieces, but even in that argument your saying he is getting paid to much to get quality help.
  9. I dont see why its so far fetched. Even before his injury this year, he lost us more games then he won. I cant be sure, but the team looks like they are playing harder with more life, now that he is gone. Flacco is not the only player on this team and he is far from the best player on this team. SSS leaving was a bigger blow then Flacco. Thats should tell you everything you need to know.
  10. He's overpaid as are a lot of NFL Qb's. Teams are suffering because of it. They can't acquire the help they need to be great.
  11. Cam, Eli, Rivers, Romo are all better than Flacco. He is in company with Cutler, Bortles, Ryan,Tannehill,Smith, Cousins and Carr. This tells me he is not worth what we are paying him. The thing is, for a glorified game manager his salary is not even close.
  12. Flacco is far from a bargain. Honestly i'm ready to see what we can be without him.
  13. My point being to all of you guys is this; you can win in this league with a marginal QB if your stout at every position. Flacco is a marginal QB that shines at times and is dull about the same amount. He is not getting paid like a marginal guy. SOOOOOO........ we dont need him at his number. I don't care if it's a phantom figure. At this point im so ready to jump back on the QB carousel and take my chances. Its not like the guy has proven to be irreplaceable. You guys really kill me with this whole debate that he's our guy. Flacco is an average QB that flashes greatness from time...................to time (a long pause in between those periods). We need to draft some real competition this year at the QB position. The Flacco debate is over!!!
  14. Flacco quite simply is not a Franchise QB. He is a good QB but he is replaceable. We need to draft some real competition this year. This guy for his career averages under 7.5 yards on pass attempts. Averages 20 pass tds a season. 12.75 ints. These numbers aren't that bad, but they are definitely not worthy of the 120 million we are spending to get them. I seriously hope we go in a different direction at Qb next year. Not to say we don't start Flacco. Just bring in another legitimate threat. I sincerely don't think Flacco at 120 million is what this team needs. SORRY Ask yourself this: Would you give Alex Smith that kind of deal? Flacco is only slightly better than him.
  15. As much as I dislike Matt starting for us. I must say that i'm not really seeing a huge difference between him and Flacco. Make no mistake, I know that terrible games await for us with Matt at the helm. Flacco has been (pretty much) a I td 1 pick a game guy. At his price tag, this is bad business. We are definitely overpaying for him. All we need is a two touchdown Qb that limits the mistakes. I'm not saying that Matt is the answer. NOT at all. But his performance against the Browns does show that we don't need a 120 million dollar guy on our roster that in all honesty would have probably put up those same numbers.
  16. Can we get Hurst off this team now?
  17. Chemistry with what young receiver? Perriman was already a lost cause and i'm willing to bet that we have a entirely different receiving core next year. There is no way after this years showing that we retain anymore than three receivers on our current roster not named Perriman and Camp (maybe) due to his already long history of injury. Building chemistry with Crockett and Max doesn't seemed far fetched but it not that hard to build chemistry with tight ends. Putting him in harms way, to build chemistry with the slowest skill positions on the field seems dumb to me. But we can agree to disagree. No harm in that.
  18. The way he is playing he needs help anyway. Wrong message or not, he is our future, and shouldn't be starting in meaningless games. I understand what the norm is in the league. I just don't understand what's wrong with deviation from the norm.
  19. Harbaugh would be a great college coach, Grown men treated like children......smh
  20. This is kind of my point. Why don't we have a young man behind him waiting to get a shot. That's the Ravens teams that i loved from the past. It's what this team lacks at nearly every position. The only guy on this roster i couldn't wait to unseat a starter from the past was Brandon Williams. A better question is why is Shaub on our roster?
  21. There is no benefit to him starting. So unheard of or not it makes sense.
  22. Why is our star QB playing in a season that is obviously over? Now we have to tank.
  23. Flacco done for the year????? http://www.nfl.com/ Bad time to discuss what he needs we can revisit this conversation in the off-season. Get well soon Joe!!! Happy holidays!
  24. That's fair. I'm basing it off the only true measuring stick still available in football. The eyeball test. Flacco has done all the growing up he will do and this is the best it gets. (I'm satisfied). Just not that impressed. It's like having hot dogs for dinner. Let's not turn this into a Luck Vs Flacco thread. I'm talking about the end of the careers. Not the here and now. Our team needs to focus on what we need to do to make Flacco better. He still needs a lot of work. smh
  25. Luck is better than Flacco Mili. If that's what your getting at. I will stand by this until the end of their respected careers. Luck is a beast and Flacco is Flacco. Its hard to compare him to anyone right now because he (Flacco) is pretty much the league standard.
