NFL Network just showed that Kyle Shanahan is interviewing for the Ravens OC spot.Â

I don't know how to feel about this....
Â
Back when we were still suffering through Cam I had, 'Can Cam. Hire Norv,' as my sig... I still hope we make a move to get Turner away from the Browns. He was able to produce in Cleveland and he allowed for guys like Gordon and Cameron to have amazing years with very little at quarterback. We all know Norv is a crap head coach, but that shouldn't cause us to shy away from him being our OC.Â
Apparently you don't realize just how backed up and ineffective the justice system is. Â I'm not surprised by the delay at all.
I feel like if he was just your run of the mill criminal he wouldn't have been permitted to be free all this time on pending felony charges. I credit his well paid lawyers.... which is another flaw in our judicial system.Â
Nice, Aldon is getting charged with three felony firearm charges. Maybe he'll end up as Hernandez's cellmate? lol
Let me get this straight, the incident involving the weapons occurred in June of 2012 which means it happened BEFORE the beginning of last season. How does that work? You get busted with a small arsenal of illegal weapons and then are allowed to work and make millions of dollars over the course of an entire NFL season? That doesn't seem right at all...
I mean, they do have precedent that there is some truth to that. Hines Ward was caught red-handed driving his car up over a curb drunk in Georgia and somehow got out of it scott free.Lol it's pretty funny but I think it comes from them thinking they're invincible more than anything. That's the problem. They get this superiority complex and think the law doesn't apply, they're above the law, or that they won't get caught. It all revolves around hubris.
Heck. Regular people are smart enough to pay the cab fare to get home safe...Isn't it ironic that all these people that can afford chaffeurs have DUI/DWI charges?
Agreed on the Titus Young being a moron sentiment: http://deadspin.com/titus-young-arrested-again-503570801
It's amazing how that works. If I assaulted a cop I doubt I'd get off that easy...Update: Dennard is sentenced to 30 days in jail... starting March 1st, 2014. He was also sentenced to 24 months probation and has to do 100 hours of community service.
yeah, I blame ESPN for the masses of ignorant fans who think they're making some insightful comment by revealing their ignorance about our cap and the contracts of our players. What drives me crazy is that if you read some of the other media outlets everyone is blaming Joe's new contract for Q being traded. People need to realize that his contract had no bearing on this move and get their facts straight.
But they are a run first team that rely heavily on a fullback. You can only have 11 players on the field so you either keep the RB or sacrifice the play action so a WR in name only (Ted Ginn) 'stretches the field' but has never been a true threat because he can't catch the ball...Not really because the 49ers have a different offensive philosophy than then the ravens . Mason and Boldin at the time were in the don corydell offense which honestly fits speedy wideouts and really tall wideouts more than anything. The 49ers run a west coast offense which is built for a wideout like Boldin also the 49ers have speedy wideouts like ted gin and their 2012 first rounder aj Jenkins to stretch the field if needed
But he was getting paid like one... hence the trade.Anquan wasn't a true #1
The way I see it, the 49ers are going to look a lot like the 2010 Ravens when we had Mason and Boldin. They now have Crabtree and Boldin. Two receivers with identical skill sets. They can't gain separation and they don't have burner type speed. They're route running possession guys and they won't be able to benefit from each other like Boldin benefited from Torrey stretching the field. This isn't going to help Kaepernick at all because he simply doesn't deliver balls like Flacco can. He throws footballs on ropes and he won't be able to deliver them in a way for a guy like Boldin to go up and get them under tight coverage. And with that Seattle secondary mugging them in tight man-to-man coverage I don't foresee those two games fairing well for the niner offense.
They're professionals. It's their job to step up and make plays. I have faith in the FO's evaluation of the players and the players' ability to contribute. Maybe you should too. People lost their minds when Mase and Heap were axed yet we found ourselves in the AFCCG that season with guys like Torrey and Pitta stepping up. It's time for the next crop of young guns to make their mark. It's as simple as that.Haters? guess your a high schooler could explain it...Yes we lose starters everybody does...The difference is we just paid a QB 120+mill(yeah 6 something this year) to be here for a long time, his best WR is Torrey Smith who is pretty good but not a true #1 hes a good #1 but not a true #1 then you lose q who is a machine in the clutch and late game. To fall back on a unproven IR bench riding WR core and Jones and Pitta.
And I'm no high schooler. So don't make an incoherent comment like that again.
We lose starters every single year. You act like this is some drastic event that has never happened before. We lose starting caliber players constantly and yet we find ourselves in the playoffs the following season to the dismay of haters like yourself.Ill be here laughing at you as u say how good doss is and he wont be worth anything next year lol. They are the 2 best atm...Seahawks top corner best all around athlete in Percy Harvin a good young QB a top 5 D. SF hasnt lost anything yet and only getting better. We've lost Q and kruger and Ray Lewis as of NOW whos to say who else we can lose.
I see that you're new to these boards. I hope you stick around so that I can find you once next season is concluded to say I told you so. You act like we're in the dregs of the league now. We're still contending for a title. The sky isn't falling regardless of how hyperbolic you get.Percy played injured in bigger games with actual NFL caliber players..Heart is great let me know when it helps him catch the ball over the middle when someone like Willis is about to hit u...Sticky hands, yeah against Michigan lol...Who doesnt have sticky hands against big 10 teams now?
I wont get off my high horse bc hes not worth it...We got owned in this deal and u just see the now the best 2 teams get better in the 49ers and the seahawks...
We have the money to get a good WR like a Percy trade Boldin to minny with a few picks at least is a good deal lol...
Have you even looked at those throws? They were close to impossible for him to grab. Joe put them in spots where he had a slim chance of catching them but they were safe from being picked off.what happened to his sticky hands against the Colts?
He has one more year on his deal and then he would have been surely gone anyway. I don't see Boldin having a pro bowl year in SF considering who's throwing to him. It's painful but the right move going forward for the organization.I actually feel worse about Doss after watching this. Maybe its the music but I was not impressed.
Flacco's throwing bullets man the stuff only top players can handle. I don't see Doss and Flacco having that chemistry.
It took Joe and Q 3 years to develop the perfect chemistry, and now the Ravens get rid of him for nothing.
He played injured in this game. He has heart, determination, and sticky hands. All things that don't change regardless of the competition. Get off your high horse.U posted a highlight video of a guy going against one of the worst Big 10 Defenses there is in Michigan...Horrible job trying to give insight thats like me posting a video of percy harvin against big 10 D's...
Doss has strong hands and is in the mold of Boldin when it comes to fighting for extra yards. Stop hating on him so much when he hasn't even gotten a fair opportunity to show his worth to the offense.Torrey caught balls in college, u guys are just praying and hoping this works out il ltell u right now Deonte thompson will never be more than a 4th best WR doss might be a good #3...
Austin could be lethal in the slot with Jacoby and Torrey on the outside. Here's what I hope happens: We don't sign anyone to "replace" Boldin. Whoever we sign would be just as expensive.
You know who isn't expensive? Rookies, on rookie contracts. Guys like Doss, LaQuan Williams and David Reed. But, this also means that if Travon Austin falls to #32...
we're going to draft Travon Austin.
Jennings is a true number one AND the injury history would lower his price. I love Jennings actually. He seems like a real stand up guy. That's pretty funny. He would be an obvious upgrade from Boldin, but he also had injuries in his last 2 seasons. Still, that could potentially be huge for Joe and the offense.
I mean, that's all they're getting anyway. He's only under contract for next season. He could easily retire following next season but not pursuing another contract. We could only get a 6th for him bc hes an aging receiver on the decline who publicly stated he has no desire to play for mondey, rings, ect... Teams know theyre not getting a long term extension, at best 1 good year. Why would you give up more than a late round pick for 1 year?
The ultimate revenge would be using it to trade ahead of them to steal a gem.I hope this 6th round pick turns out to bite the 9ers in the butt. lol
Q got Dilfered. This is the off-season after we won our first Super Bowl all over again.
Say it isn't so...I think it might make re-signing Kruger a possibility.

I'm trying not to dwell on this and simply put my trust in the FO, but outside of Shannahan I don't think any of the other discussed candidates are impressive.Â
Â
I hate to admit that I'm nervous the longer this is dragged out.Â
