The comparison still applies. Joe is like another Alex Smith.
Lets hope this will result in Harbaughs firing next season.
Boldin carried Joe to a SB.
Flacco just angers me so much
Flacco has been average his entire career
fire john harbaugh
That penalty on Pryor let us off the hook
Agree. Flacco definitely should get credit for the numbers he was putting up considering what he had around him. People that have hated on Flacco are now getting a glimpse of what this Raven team looks like without him and it is not a pretty sight. What people are forgetting is that Flacco has had to deal with a different Offensive Coordinator for 4 years in a row and during that time, we have gone to the play offs and even won a Super Bowl. You can't say that about the other Qb's. Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, just to name a few have all had consistency in their coordinators AND had playmakers to throw to. Maybe now some of the haters will acknowledge the fact that Flacco has done a great job for this team- considering.
This team was losing even with Joe Flacco as a starter. And the offensive coordinators Joe has had have been very good ones, so it's not like he's been dealing with a bunch of nobodies. In fact, Joe probably feels lucky to have been coached by some of the best offensive minds in the league like Trestman, Kubiak, and Caldwell.
So Ross gets cut yet Marlon Brown is still on the team? You're delusional Harbaugh.
I have Sam on my avatar. I think he's the best. I don't like the people who say we should cut him.
"Ravens Not Joking About Going 8-0. Can They Really Do It?"
please... let's try to say at least a tiny bit realistic here...
John Harbaugh has called Joe Flacco the best QB in the league. They're not realistic at all.
Joe could become elite if somebody would stop picking losers in the draft.
Wouldn't that make Joe Flacco as one of those "losers" that Ozzie has drafted since 08?
And who was it that drafted him again? I know, beating a dead horse, but I can't help it because some people still refuse to blame the real man responsible for so many bad drafts and the 1-6 record.
They're not as bad as all the Flacco fanatics who still call Joe Flacco elite.
I know Flacco isn't surrounded by amazing talent, but his deep throws this year have been off. I can remember in the Denver, Oakland, Cleveland, and now the Arizona game where Flacco missed a open WR deep for a TD.
And some people still think Joe Flacco is as good as Aaron Rodgers.
I think this season is going to expose the type of QB Joe Flacco really is. It's all on him now, and it doesn't look good.
Shouldn't Joe be the 7th player to give hope ? I mean, he's doing what he's doing with literally one WR.
And what exactly is he doing? He's been graded poorly and has been inaccurate since preseason. Steve Smith is the one making all the plays, getting the YAC, breaking tackles, and carrying this offense.
Flacco has supposedly one WR, and he's been average. Steve Smith is that "one" WR, and he's been one of the best players in the league.
flacco said it best"we wasted a whole half running a crappie offense" why didnt harbs urge trestman to change things up. no huddle 2 minute offense would help at times to get the offense out of its funk
Why didn't Flacco urge Trestman to change things up
Its funny that when the defense plays like garbage and is the direct cause for the loss, flacco still gets blamed
Flacco definitely deserves some of the blame.
idk about that, I saw Flacco throw some pretty nice passes. But I did also notice his deep balls being off target, and that one to Steve could have been better but at the same time Steve could have got his foot down.
It definitely could have been better. Steve Smith was wide open. Flacco didn't need to throw it out of bounds as much as he did.
The defense was terrible, but Joe Flacco missed two TD throws to Aiken and Smith. Flacco's lofted passes are crap.
I haven't seen the replay of that play, but I thought Flacco lofted the ball too much. I think he should've thrown more of a direct pass to a 6'6 TE's catch radius. The lofted pass seemed to give the safety enough time to run over and break up the pass.
4 years in the league he better show something. He has learned from the best.
Upshaw is this generation's Jarret Johnson. I think it would be a bit unfair to expect him to get a ton of sacks when that has never been one of his strengths. JJ was with us for so long yet he never established himself as a pass rusher.
If people have to keep asking whether a QB is elite, then he's not elite.
