  1. And has either of those QBs won a SB to warrant their salary? Has Ben won with this stable of Receivers he has? Has Eli won with OBJ? Has Romo/Dak won with Dez?? #DontWorryIllWait
  2. Listen guys, if the other team cant score, they cant win!! I see a heavy rotation of suggs, judon, tim williams, and bowser to keep our guys fresh and in hunting mode. Our secondary is gonna be our strength this year vs every year after Ed left town. Im beginning to see Oz's plan...defense wins championships, offense sells tickets. Well, Im from Arkansas and i'm getting my ticket to come to the bank this year!!!
  3. I see we have a couple 6'5ers as UDFA, hopefully bobby engram can develop them. But then again we already have chris matthews who we dont use.
  4. I must admit, I am ecstatic about this draft!! We finally have a corner that can step in and the sky doesn't fall if/when Jimmy gets hurt! We have bonafide pass rushers to finally get back to that qb seeking defense and rotate in and out to keep suggs fresh. Do i wish we could have gotten an offensive playmaker, yes. But look at our roster, west and dixon were very good given the limited amount of running plays called, the Jets and cowboys game come to mind. We ran the ball 11 FREAKING TIMES against the Jets, and at the start of the cowboys game we ran the ball down their throats on the way to the 1st TD, but somehow got away from it. But with the owner lighting a fire under everyone's butt then I believe we will be committed to the run as evidenced by the emphasis we placed on defense this offseason. As i stated in another post, we could pick up some mid to late round lineman and be completely fine. And what did we do, we potentially got a starting LG in Baby Goose, so if we pick up Mangold we will have a solid line in Stanley, Goose, Mangold, Yanda, Lewis. And now to our WR/TE. We have some above avg players all thru the depth chart that can do different things. And the guy to keep an eye on is Camp. IF he can stay healthy, he will be a difference maker. With a full HEALTHY offseason from flacco and perriman, these 2 will finally have the chemistry to tear the opponents apart. I know of 3 people who hated our offseason so far, Browns, Bengals, and Steelers. Because they already know its tough to score on us, and with the additions we have made it became that much harder. In the words of Bart Scott #ICantWait
  5. I'm sure glad some of you guys dont make decisions for the team. We have always drafted best player available with a hint of position of need. Humphrey was a great pick. We get the 2nd best corner for 4-5 years on a rookie contract when his position is usually thr 2nd-3rd highest paid position on the team with a fragile Jimmy, and carr basically on a 1 year contract, and next year you will be happy we made this pick. Oz has been doing this for years. When we got brandon williams, we still had ngata so he didnt play much right away, but how many people are crying that we just paid Bwill and dont have ngata? Exactly. We didnt need him then but we sure as heck do now!!! We tried to trade up for either barnett or reddick but it didnt work out, so we took the BPA to us at that tme because no offer was worth trading back. CLE did have a good draft, but when you lose as much as they have over the years and have multiple 1st round picks in a loaded draft such as this one, its hard not to pick impact players. Today, like DeCosta said, will make or break our season. This is the time to find some day 1 starters and quality players. If you guys want splashy drafts, then maybe you go root for another non winning team because we dont make splash picks, never have really. Can anyone tell me the last top 5 WR to win a super bowl? Im gonna say 2010 Jordy Nelson, and even he wasn't a top 5 WR at the time he won the super bowl. So quit with all this team bashing on said teams site, and have faith in your team. Gosh, you guys kill me
  6. Realistically if there are 7 or 8 players still on the board that we would grab at 16, what makes you think a team in the early 20s will trade up just to get a player that they could get if they stand pat? I'm really excited for this draft because simply, we can go in so many directions and whatever we do on days 1 and 2 will immensly help our team. It could be highly possible that 7 or 8 of the names mentioned will be there at 16 if there are 3 qbs to go in top 15. I dont see value in trading in any round unless we are trading UP in the 3rd because if we can get an extra 3rd this year i see us grabbing Krupp, Sidney Jones, and a C/G.
  7. I really believe we should wait on the OL, aside from Ogden and Stanley, our 1st Rd Linemen havent been all that great. Our best lineman was a 3rd rounder, the guy that just got that massive payday was a 5th rounder, KO 2nd rounder. So I think we go pass rush only if its not a reach. Because I really do believe our defense will be set for a few years if we can get a stud edge rusher. And with finally a whole offseason of work with Flacco and Perriman, i believe Perriman will become that #1 WR we envisioned when we drafted him. I just really wish we would ease up on the No DV players, because I believe mixon would be that back that the Front Office is looking for.
  8. We need a few players with character issues...im tired of all the choir boys!!
  9. Anybody else get mad at the GIF tweet of Jimmy Smith? That was the game that cost us the playoffs, he got hurt that game and missed the rest of the season
  10. I hope we are not putting our hope on 7 rookies who never played an NFL game. I agree we need 3-4 immediate starters, but the whole draft class should not be needed to contribute right away.
  11. I just think it all comes down to health and playcalling. We could have easily been 11-5 this past season but Jimmy "Mr. Fragile" Smith got hurt against the giants, we had 5 starters out against the jets (not to mention we ran the ball 11 Freaking times!!!), jimmy didnt play against the cowboys, steelers w16. Pees kept putting wright sorry tale in one on one situations and he consistently got beat. Crabtree single-handedly ate his lunch. Then he has the corners playing 15 yards off the ball, idk if Flacco isnt allowed to audible, but it was multiple times that the called play got blew up and even an untrained eye(me) could see that it wouldn't work so why not let the 22 mil dollar man make audibles. We have the speed on the outside and with camp in the slot we SHOULD be a dangerous offense. We dont use waller like we should...this guy is 6'6 and runs a 4.4-4.5 he is a matchup nightmare but we are still depending on pitta who has roughly 4 YAC...not acceptable when he's suppose to be the chain mover. we dont run screens with our speed, we dont stick with the run enough to be successful at play action. Flacco's mechanics never seem to get better because he always thorws off his back foot. So with all this being said...COACHING COACHING COACHING has to improve. The way Harbs holds other players not named Joe accountable, he needs to hold his coordinators and QB accountable.
  12. I've been saying this for years...if we take care of home and split on the road we will be 12-4...teams have come into M&T and bullied us as of late
  13. although he was a liability last year, he does have familiarity now, and every yearwe get thin at the CB position, so i like the move
  14. what really ticks me off, is Flacco always seems to throw off his back foot. And alot of those times pressure isn't in his face. He could have so much more zip if his feet were set, I'm not blaming joe for the losses but if his feet were set in denver, he would have had more zip on the last INT and stewart wouldnt have made the pick and a PI at worst woulda been called, and against OAK he wouldn't have underthrew aiken who was wide open down field, nor would he have led SSS out of bounds on the play were SSS couldn't get both feet down.
  15. I was nervous the whole 2nd half...but way to grind it out. I must say the play off the game was Kendrick Lewis tripping up Le'Veon Bell on his longest run in OT, after he broke that tackle by CJ mosely and sprinted up the sideline I just knew he was gone. But Lewis brought him down and they ended up failing on 4th down. This game should serve as a blueprint for dean pees, when u bring pressure good things happen, when u dont you give up plays and put ur defense in some messed up situations. We have a real shot at 3-3 these next 2 weeks with CLE and SF up next. if we can go into the bye week 5-3, or at worst 4-4, the back half of our schedule seems more favorable with all of those home games. Maybe SSS and Camp injuries are blessings in disguise, because now waller will get 1st team work and he and Joe can practice those jump balls, and back shoulders, because this guy is 6'6 and runs a 4.4 Joe has to take advantage of this matchup nightmare. Also, u can neg me for this but i believe if SSS was still in the game, we woulda lost becuase Joe would have tried to force the ball to him. but rest easy for these 10-11 days...see yall on the 11th!!!
