Flacco's accuracy the first three games of the year was really shaky, but I think he actually looked good out there today. Yes, the Browns have the 2nd worst defense in football (Ravens are clearly #1 in that dept at this point), but like it's been pointed out ad nauseam, we're fielding a bunch of journeymen and rookie receivers and TEs out there from top to bottom. Also we're on our 4th OC in as many years... That's obviously not any kind of ideal environment for success regardless of who you have under center. And here's the other thing. Even with SSS, the Ravens receiving corp is probably still the worst in the league. Don't forget that even by his own admission, SSS was brought here as a #2. The fact that a 5'9" 15-year vet is far, far, far and away the best weapon we have at wideout says a lot about the talent we have at that position. And here's another thing, and no disrespect to anyone. Flacco's only ever had the luxury of throwing to old receivers past their prime and at best, 1B's like Boldin. Outside of Tom Brady, every other Top 12 QB in the league going back the last 8 years has probably had a legitimate #1 receiver (and quite a few had two #1's, or at least a #1B). Actually I take that back... Even Brady got to play with a still-in-his-prime Moss for a couple of years. But guys like Stafford got a pass for years because of his gaudy fantasy numbers due to him playing in a pass-happy offense with THE best receiver in the league, but Flacco has done a lot more with a lot less, and he continues to do so. Yes, he can be maddeningly inconsistent at times, but sometimes it's not on him, like today. Our receivers just aren't very good, and even a guy like Rodgers has problems when his receivers can't get any separation as evidenced today vs the Rams.
