  1. Ouch. That's pretty harsh after only 4 games. I feel like the defense is infinitely better this year, and I find it hard to believe that this offense won't get better as the season progresses. Lots of new cogs and key players coming back from injury. And Trestman hasn't even had a full year with Flacco yet.
  2. I don't know. Their red zone offense is kind of out of this world. I don't see them getting blown out too often.
  3. It also helps that Carr is behind an OL that doesn't let any defenders even look at him funny. There were several plays in that game where Carr could've made himself a panini back there. We've all seen how legit Flacco can be too when he's protected.
  4. Yeah. Not sure what some people are talking about. A lot of people in the NFL community had the Raiders as legit playoff contenders even before the season started.
  5. The ball bounced off his chest before he was even hit. Looking at the replay, it looked like he had time to catch the ball and tuck it away before the hit, but whatever. Definitely would've been tough to hold on to, but the Raiders' receivers were making those kinds of plays all day for their QB.
  6. Tucker is a beast, but anyone saying they trust him (or any kicker) to kick a 68-yarder over Flacco to get us into better FG range is obviously blindly biased. Way more times than not in the past, Flacco's been clutch in these kinds of situations.
  7. "The Ravens have always nailed their top-10 picks" I agree. Let's just pretend the whole Travis Taylor thing never happened.
  8. Maybe. But since Flacco never had great weapons (at least not the kind that Dalton, Matt Ryan, and Stafford got to throw to), that's pure conjecture. Even Jay Cutler got to play with Brandon Marshall in his prime. Ravens need to get him a legitimate #1. Closest they've come is Boldin and he was known as a Robin to Fitz's Batman even before he got here.
  9. They just got dismantled by the Bears at home so not exactly a juggernaut coming to town, but like was said, who cares at this point one way or the other. The Ravens obviously can't beat anyone
  10. Speaking of the Pack, it's interesting to see that even the best QB in the game can't get it done without a decent run game, good wide receivers, and decent playcalling. Or at least 2 of the 3. On the other hand, you can stick a terrible Matt Cassel on a Patriots team, and he'll thrive. Please get Flacco some weapons and a decent OC.
  11. The Ravens played probably their best game of the year vs Arizona, especially on D. The games against the Steelers and Bengals don't count because they're division games and are usually close regardless of talent gap. And the Chargers team we barely beat at home was bad even before they were wiped clean due to injury. It's cool that some fans are eternal optimists but there's no way anyone can reasonably think this team is going 10-6 or even 9-7, or heck even 8-8, at this point. We have zero pass rush, a completely clueless secondary, and WRs who'd be lucky to be on other teams' practice squads. Literally our kicker is our best offensive weapon, followed by an inconsistent QB who's playing behind a banged-up OL. And probably our two most vocal leaders on offense and defense are out for the season. Don't get me wrong. If I had a choice for the Ravens to go 10-6 or 9-7 and make the playoffs vs going 2-14, I'd take the playoffs every time. But the far more likely scenario with what we have is that we'd go 6-10, which just stinks all around. I'd rather go 2-14 than 6-10, not only for the draft but for next year's scheduling, too. Being practical doesn't make anyone less of a fan.
  12. I 100% blame Brynden Trawick for JJ's regression. I'm kind of joking but kind of not. It's really messed up though that he's still somehow on this team, and JJ was given the boot. Sign me up as one of those people who'd welcome JJ back for no other reason than nostalgia. Even if he somehow costs us a game here or there, what does it really matter at this point?
  13. Marlon Brown is terrible
  14. If we beat Jax in two weeks, we'll be 3-6... My God... so far from 500...
  15. WE WIN!!!!!!!! now wut?
  16. Yay! We're ahead... but does anyone think Rivers isn't going to march his team down the field for 7 to win it?
  17. I'm genuinely torn...
  18. Wow... 3 and out. Nice job D!
  19. He's literally the only thing I'm looking forward to this year at this point. I just want to see what he can do.
  20. That would be the perfect cap to the most frustrating season ever... 8-8, no playoffs, another draft pick outside the Top 15, and another year of the same coaching staff and personnel because the team ended the season on fire...
  21. Knowing this team, they'll probably run the tables after going 1-7 today... I'm not even joking.
  22. Because Marc Trestman
  23. I wouldn't bet on it
  24. When SSS needs help to get off the field, it's not good.
