  1. I absolutely do not see Marty being kept as OC. He's literally Trestman 1.1. I'd be less shocked if Harbs was fired than if the Ravens' brass brought back Mornhinweg. The obvious answer is Norv as our next OC. If he'd been our OC this year, we'd probably have a few more wins under our belt.
  2. Perriman is an absolute beast when he has the ball in his hands. He has the size and speed to be a legitimate elite receiver, but his hands definitely aren't the greatest, and Flacco and him are rarely on the same page. Hoping those last 2 things get straightened out next season.
  3. I think that's extreme hyperbole. Even with all of the flaws this team had this year, every single L we had wasn't in the books until late in the 4th. I definitely wouldn't cry if Harbs got fired, but as long as we get a new OC and DC, I have hope we can compete for a SB next year.
  4. I really hope not. Just finish the season healthy and regroup next year. This is truly the epitome of an utterly meaningless game for both sides-- can't even play the role of spoiler.
  5. Extremely overrated. Every good offense they've faced this year, they've ultimately rolled over (sometimes on consecutive drives like tonight) when it counted. Steelers scored 3 TDs in the 4th quarter! I don't care if you're the Browns. That's unacceptable. Just dumb luck or probability was on our side to keep them out of the endzone at least once in the 4th, but nope.
  6. Agreed. They've folded against or been trucked by just about every GOOD offense they've faced all year, especially without Jimmy. Only game where they played well was probably vs Pittsburgh with an injured Roethlisberger. Definitely not anywhere near as good as they're ranked.
  7. All this talk from Harbaugh all week about the Ravens needing to leave everything on the field against the Eagles, and this is the team's response? One of the worst defensive outings of the year against an undermanned O, and continued stupid situational playcalling on offense.
  8. I guess I'm one of the few who actually expect the Ravens to win. This year's team is more talented (I'd probably say much more, at least on paper) on both sides of the ball than the team that took it to the Pats in the 2014 divisional game. The only area where this team is worse is in sacks, but who cares? Not like you're really going to get to Brady anyway, other than maybe Suggs. But we all know the major flaw in that 2014 team was the secondary, and this time we have Jimmy, Tavon Young, and Weddle. On the flip side, no Gronk is obviously huge. I really think the only way the Ravens can lose is if we lose the turnover battle badly or Jimmy gets hurt. Having said all of that, this game is pretty much a lose-lose proposition for the Ravens in the court of public opinion though. If they beat the Pats, you know the media will put an asterisk on the victory since Brady was missing Gronk and Amendola. And if the Ravens lose in a close game, then similarly the headlines will emphasize that the Pats won despite being "undermanned" or "injured or whatever.
  9. No he didn't. Not at all. But is it unreasonable to expect him to put this team on his back against a questionable pass D to win the game? When was the last time Flacco was that guy? 3 seasons ago in the playoffs? Heck, when was the last time he orchestrated a decent 2 minute drill going into the half or late in the 4th? He's definitely had his chances this year. Yes, the D was beyond putrid in the 2nd half, and people want to keep pointing to the fact that our O only got the ball 4 times, but that's a very selective/convenient truth. Dallas only got the ball THREE (3) times in the 2nd half. The Cowboys offense just obviously did a lot more with their opportunities, while our offense (yet again) didn't do enough. Just one extra sustained drive in the 2nd half, or just one extra scoring drive in the 1st when the Ravens had the Cowboys on the ropes could've changed the entire complexion and outcome of this game. --- 1st Half -- TOP 2:30, 5 plays, 23 yards, punt TOP 3:09, 6 plays, 90 yards, TD TOP 1:49, 6 plays, 15 yards, punt TOP 2:40, 3 plays, -5 yards (Zuttah holding), punt TOP 4:18, 47 yards, 9 plays, FG -- 2nd Half -- TOP 1:40, 4 plays, 22 yards, punt TOP 3:07, 4 plays, 16 yards (Zuttah 15-yard penalty made it 2nd and 16 somewhere in there), punt TOP 4:14, 9 plays, 75 yards, TD TOP 1:50, 8 plays, 34 yards, end of game I definitely don't want Flacco benched, but even before his injury last year, he wasn't playing well. And he's been pretty terrible overall this year. I just don't think it's unreasonable to expect more from this guy because we've seen much more. Shrugging my shoulders and saying that our franchise 9-year SB-MVP $120M QB "didn't lose the game for us today" or "played well enough to win today" week after week seems a bit ridiculous. That's something you say about, I don't know, Alex Smith.
  10. Look, I've been one of the most staunch and consistent Flacco supporters/defenders since he got here, but he hasn't lived up to his contract at all. Not even close. The OL played well today, the run game was churning along early, and they were up against a bad pass D. Under the circumstances, is it too much to ask that Flacco do a little more than pass for ~200 yards and 1 score (and a big chunk of that was when the Ravens were down 14 in the 4th)? Why can't we have higher expectations for our 9-year $120M SB-winning QB? I don't get it. I'm not saying we should bench him, but I think it's fair to expect more. We bash every other single player on the team, but somehow Flacco is beyond reproach? He's been TERRIBLE this year as a whole.
  11. Raiders have a fantastic OL too. Another team the Ravens D couldn't do anything against.
  12. Give him a break. He was just trying to pad his stats. His overthrow out of the endzone was also to avoid his 10th INT of the year.
  13. The Cowboys run D is solid, but their pass D is trash. If the Ravens were going to win today, Flacco needed to play better than he's played the last 2 years. He just played ok. All of the ridiculous penalties were just the nail in the coffin.
  14. Let's be honest: as a Ravens fan, you should expect that type of letdown. If this team plays well in the 1st half, 90% of the time they're going to come out flat in the 2nd.
  15. In the first half, yes. The defense literally disappeared in the second, and the offense is still a work in progress (like every single year).
  16. Is this seriously the most undisciplined team we've ever seen?
  17. This. Exactly this.
  18. I'm just imagining Tony Romo thinking, where was this kind of protection when I was taking the snaps?
  19. Been the story of the Ravens for a while now
  20. He could play next year if he wanted to. Guy is amazing.
  21. Yah. It's all the OL guys. Flacco just throwing at the turf.
  22. Suggs leads the team with a measly 6 sacks. Pretty much says it all right there about our pass rush against anyone.
  23. This is actually painful to watch. Picking apart our D
  24. They've always been a dirty team
