You at least offered Balfour a contract......He'd be a temporary upgrade over Johnson and is a hell of a closer in his own right..
Seriously?
Dat SOA finale
I'm sure some team will throw money at him
That's a pipe dreamGimme Colon or Cruz and I'll be happy at this point. Not ideal but just do something!
Choo would be nice.
God, I remember when we played a series with the Indians a year or so ago and he absolutely destroyed us.
It all leads to PA man...Britt G said on twitter that Johnson was very emotionally invested in the O's and choked up on the phone while speaking with her. I'm actually going to miss him. I'll never forget his part in our amazing 2011 season.
Even though him and Koji have completely different situations I have a feeling in a couple years we'll regret it. It's weird how they both didn't want to leave though.
lol so true. I think we all know most of the money saved from that Johnson contract won't be used.I hate the trade. What was the point? Salary relief that we won't use? Who's our next closer going to be? Hunter?
Ugh. It's tough being an O's fan. I would of rather kept him and suffered watching him then trade him for basically nothing. He's not worth 10 mill for next year but it's not like it's going to be used anywhere else. Maybe towards CD but what's the point? We'll never win one with this ownership.
JJ's going to do great in Oakland
Yeah I don't see us doing much with this guy tbh considering what Schoop, who I think will replace BRob, showed at the end of last season. From what I've gathered, Weeks is that guy that had a good rookie year and a lot of potential, and then busted. Still hope that he reaches his potential, but I doubt it.
Yeah, with a Davis deal on the horizon and a Machado deal years from now, I wouldn't pay him that and I'm not even factoring in Angelos' cheapness."Joe Mauer money"
Which would be around 184 million. With Boras representing him I say trade him now.
Dodgers may be the destination. Please trade Jim Johnson. 10M for a guy who just isn't very good makes me angry.
What's he demanding?I love him but he's not worth what he wants.
Led Zeppelin II, anyone? Always seem to forget how incredible this album is. Honestly, Led Zeppelin's first four albums could be the top four rock albums of all time, though Led Zeppelin IV is number one.
Hell yeah man! "Bring it on home" is probably my favorite blues jam.
Hendrix live at Filmore East-perhaps my favorite live album
Whats up with the neg?
Hendrix live at Filmore East-perhaps my favorite live album
He hasn't been the same since the beginning of 2012.Pretty sure he's hurt now/recovering from yet another surgery...
It's been said that MS has been investing heavily in 1st party studios. That's why I mentioned Black Tusk (formerly known as Microsoft Vancouver) which has been tasked with creating a AAA title to go along with Halo. They've been hiring veteran developers from various other popular franchises (Crysis, COD, Splinter Cell, etc) so we could see Black Tusk become a big studio this generation. MS knows they have to step their game up when it comes to 1st party games or they'll fall behind Sony again.

Yeah, whatever they're working on is definitely intriguing. Sony will still probably acquire Ready at Dawn and Quantic Dream.
I have a gut feeling 343i is working on two games. They definitely have the budget and amount of employees to do so; not to mention they have also contracted other studios to help them dev stuff over the past couple years. I find it interesting that you mention Gears could go multi-platform, didn't know that property was owned by Epic. I still think they need more than just 343, turn10, Lionhead, and remedy. They have a couple others but those are their strongest studios, although Im not a big fan of Lionahead as of late.Actually, there's been stuff floating around that GoW could eventually make its way to PS4 if they release another entry. Microsoft doesn't own the Gears IP so if Epic wants to put it on the PS4, they can do so.
Sony will likely continue its dominance when it comes to first-parties but I think Microsoft will do better this time around. Having the first Titanfall be exclusive to Microsoft platforms is huge since it's probably the most hyped next-gen title. Quantum Break will likely be fantastic (love Remedy), Halo is going to be amazing on the XB1 hardware, and you have Fable Legends coming from Lionhead Studios. Not to mention they've been slightly hyping up whatever Black Tusk is working on.
Microsoft will have to keep their exclusives library going. Can't be like the last few years of the 360's life.
uh.....Uncharted 4 was announced during the PS4 launch.actually ps4 has not said anything about future games
I'd argue that, rather than focus on getting exclusive licenses, Microsoft needs to scout and acquire studios. That way, they can cultivate an ecosystem of titles from within rather than mining titles from the outside, and they'd have more control over the quality of the final product.
Yeah, the lack of quality studios is one of the reasons I'm not getting a Xbox one right now. Naughty Dog is just too damn good at the moment.
Edsall goodbye, I never liked you
I guess they're replacing the Maryland flag patch for this one, 60th anniversary.
So how is the PS4?
It's a good system. Personally I don't think we'll really know how good it is until at least another 2-3 years the line when the exclusives begin to rain in and its features get refined.

In the range of 60 mil for Cruz? wow, didn't know we were actually willing to spend
