  1. Great route running(Boyd is a great route runner), can compensate for lack of a deep threat/ speed. Since we have Breshad as a deep threat(and if you say that he doesn't play at 4.3-4.4 speed anyway I do have gifs I can whip up that show it).

Boyd is the safest of the bunch imo. Not a knock on the others, because Doctoson, Treadwell, and Coleman have higher ceilings. But even with the off the field stuff, we have his former WR coach. Who knows him better than anyone.

    It makes too much sense.

just like when we took elam bc our db coach at the time was very familiar with him smh

  2. If our FO had any allegiance to UMD they would have drafted Stefon Diggs instead of freaking TRAY WALKER to end the 4th round. SMH! Our P/K return woes would have been non-existent and we would have had a true #2 WR from the start of the season.

stop crying its over and done with the reason they didn't draft diggs bc diggs was cocky it was stated

  3. Title says it all. We are one of the worst teams right now so I just thought it would be cool to cast my lot into the Ravens mock draft talk

R1 Trade w/ the Bears for their 1st this year, next year, this years second, and this year's fourth. I have no clue if this seems like a good enough value, but I think if Oz has the chance to trade down then he will if it means we get a bunch of picks.

Round 1 Pick 15 Ravens Select: Laquan Treadwell WR Ole Miss

The best Wr in the class in my opinion and would be a great compliment to Perriman's speed. Good size, good strength, great hands, deceptive speed, and surprisingly good after the catch for a guy his size.

Round 2 Pick 37 Ravens Select: Carl Nassib DE/OLB Penn State

We need a pass rusher to groom along with Za'Darius, and I think with a little bit more training this guy will be a monster. He is strong, quick off the line, and smart. All he needs to do is sit behind Suggs for a year, learn the craft and start wreaking havoc.

Round2 Pick 45 Ravens Select: Kendall Fuller CB Virginia Tech

He was probably gonna be a mid to late first round corner, but with his injury he falls to us. He has all the physical talents you want in a corner. He reminds me of his brother a lot but the main difference between the two coming out was that Kyle Fuller was a little bit more refined. However, I think that if Kendall becomes more consistent he could be better than his brother. Not related but he is from Baltimore so it would be cool if he was here.

Round 3 Pick 81 Ravens Select: Karl Joesph S West Virginia University

This guy is relentless, and he just about everything you want. He can cover, he has swagger (which is something this secondary needs), he can tackle, and he hits like a mack truck. We need another safety to play beside Will Hill. I think they could be one of the best duos in the league.

Round 4 Pick 102 Ravens Select: Antonio Morrison ILB Florida

Its obvious that Arthur Brown has been a bust. The fact that he can't get playing time even when our defense is struggling is quite pathetic, so here is another ILB who is fast and can cover pretty well. He suffered an injury last year, but was able to rehab quickly and play at a high level since returning

Round 4 Pick 107 Ravens Select: Halapoulivaati Vaitai OT TCU

Good run blocker and a good pass blocker. He would basically be insurance for when Monroe goes down. I cannot stand Hurst at tackle anymore. This guy has the length the height and the strength to be a very effective LT with some grooming.

Arthur Brown did get playing time but remember Daryl smith is still here

I approved this but I think we could get a better pass rusher nassib reminds me of a cross between kruger and Phillips might get exposed in coverage

  5. Just kidding, its never too early, because its still the offseason and we still dont have enough to talk about.

now lets get to it! many said OLB was a top priority in this draft, i wasnt buying it, i couldnt think of any real value unless dupree fell to our first pick, the ZD smith pick was an excellent step in the right direction but i think we still have work to do in that department because our pass rush could fall off at any moment. one of my favorite guys so far is Leonard Floyd from georgia.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3aA2g5BlQA

you can see in this video(film, not highlights) that he is explosive and versatile, his primary role is pass rushing, and he doesnt excel in the other roles but he appears serviceable and with a stellar supporting cast like we have here in baltimore, he could be a great addition. he shows a few struggles in this film, he needs to add some weight and that is apparent here, but even with his missed plays i see immense talent and a very high ceiling, and at the very least i think he becomes one hell of a speed rusher. the snap anticipation and awareness looks good, and with another 10 lbs of muscle he is a perfect fit, he has the repertoire of pass rush moves, he can penetrate well, turn the corner, is flexible, great hand work, and he makes things happens all across the front seven, excellent stunt guy and would find himself right at home in our exotic blitz packages.

Leonard Floyd is my favorite olb but knowing our owners Allegiant to Maryland what do you know of that olb with the unique name ? He looks good to me

  6. I can already tell you Perriman isn't gonna be enough. He might be "ok" but we'll still be missing a #1 WR. I would be all for drafting that WR(Boyd, Treadwell) but then we'd miss out on a great safety like Ramsey. Where is the talent at CB though? We only have one good CB on our team, Webb is injury pronex2 and gets burnt regularly, arrington's miss used and Walker is apparently so bad they'd rather put our Backup FS at CB before him.

also can we really not cringe every time Permian runs, cuts or gets hit ? It would be impossible for us fans to think so

  7. I realize the intent of this thread is to talk about who we'd get if we were to get a top 5 pick and not about whether we actually want to get a top 5 pick.

I know a lot of people believe that, since we're not a playoff team, what is the point of finishing in the middle of the pack? Those people are in favor of seeing us tank and getting a really high pick.

Personally, I'm not on board with that approach. No doubt we're suffering from a lack of talent, but I don't think we have the talent level of a 4-12 or 3-13 kind of team. In order for us to get that pick, we will have had to give up as a team. That could be damaging long term.

well right now we would have the third pick

  8. So this is where I will post my findings. So far, I have our needs ranked as (I have yet to see Will Davis in action. If he is good on the outside then I won't list corner. If he's not I'll make it number two. Have not gotten around to scouting the position thus far)

These are the people I have scouted thus far, and how I am ranking them.. If x player is not on the list, that means I have not gotten to him yet.

    1. OLB/Edge Setter- Suggs leaving is a major loss. Not just in the pass rushing department. Granted, I think ZDS is a pretty good pass rusher. But I also think that he won't be able to set the edge asap.

People I like at this position are

    • Joey Bosa
    • Leonard Floyd
    • Emmanuel Ogbah
    • Shillique Callhoun
    • Yannick Ngakoue
    • Jordan Jenkins
    2. Center-It appears that we are trying to run inside zone now for Trestman. Something Zuttah does not seem capable of doing. Not strong enough.
    • Max Turek
    • Dan Voltz
    • Nick Martin
    • Jack Allen
    • Mike Matthews
    3. Wide Receiver- Perriman's floor is a number two. A good one. Something tells me Givens comes back and he's a #3... I think that we need to find either another number two, or a number one. This is an overrated class but it's pretty solid across the board.

    • Tyler Boyd
    • Laquon Treadwell
    • Micheal Thomas
    • Travin Dural
    • Demarcus Robinson
    • Pharoh Cooper
    • Sterling Shepard
    4. Running Back-Forsett is a product of a good oline. We need another capable runner imo, as we are a run first offense. Taliefero is a good goal line guy, and Allen is a great third down back imo. Good hands and pass blocking ability while being a passable runner. But we lack that #1.
    • Ezekil Elliot
    • Derrick Henry
    • Devontae Booker
    • Aaron Green
    • DJ Foster
    5. Middle Linebacker. CJ is not horrid in coverage. But he's not good either. He's very mediocre. Don't get me wrong. He's amazing at everything else. But we could use a coverage backer at some point in the draft.
    • Myles Jack(okay it's not really close here. Jack is easily the best coverage LB I have ever scouted)
    • Jaylon Smith
    • Scooby Wright III
    • Darron Lee
    • Reggie Ragland
My mocks will go in here. Obviously way too early for one. But I will upload at least my opinion per new prospect I come across from this point forward...
at wr no Corey Coleman josh Doctson or William fuller ? And check out taji sharpe mass wr mike Williams ???

  9. Twice in one thread we have mentions that Bosa may not be a big need… Has anyone seen our pass rush without Suggs? We could absolutely use a dynamic presence off the edge. Suggs and Dumervil aren't getting any younger.

but would boasa be able to play olb would he make that transition ? Has anyone ever see him rush standing up ??? I have yet to witness this he seems like a 4-3 de isn't that the defense Ohio state runs ?

  10. 8 in 5 games, thats not good. but thats not the real problem, if you wanna know the real problem look at the final possession against cleveland, when joe took 4 consecutive snaps and had to sprint for his life just to have a chance to throw it away. so many times joe has ran for his life just to have a chance to throw it away, and especially in situations where we cant afford a wasted snap. our LT's have been horrible and we would do ourselves a huge favor by getting a cornerstone there.

he was only sacked one time in that game the actually problem is no wr was getting separation
