Bio Larzen No Rookies Shined?!?!!? C'mon youre better than that, Carl Davis was all over the field, he DESTROYED the lesser talent around him. Yes, a lot of his production came against backups but he had good gap control against the starters, stuffed a running play with penetration against the starters and batted down a ball (I think that was against the starters, correct me if I'm wrong). Needless to say that man is going to be a pro bowler with a year of NFL weight training under his belt. I'm stoked about him, Zadarius also made some plays, he set the edge well san's the one run in the third where he let the back bounce outside.
injuries are part of training camp every team has them we should be thankful its two backups not arian foster or sheldon richardson being out for a large chunk of the season. And on the practicing too hard note, its a risk reward type deal. Our practices are the reason we have a lot of guys get injured in training camp... we work harder and longer than most other teams. Those same grueling practices are the reason that we dominate in pressure situations (playoffs) because our guys deal with the pressures of a John Harbaugh camp before they even suit up for a game
5th best raven ever IMO right now. 1. Ray, 2. Ed, 3. JO, 4. Stover, 5. Yanda, with the caveat that if Yanda continues his current pace and finishes his career here I'll have him at 4 just behind one of the greatest lineman ever. Not bad company, Lot of ppl have JO at #2 and i'd have no problem with that but for me Ed Reed literally kept me interested in the ravens when our offense couldn't make a first down. Too many impact plays, game-changing plays that a left tackle simply doesn't have the opportunity to make, but I digress, Yanda is still a BAMF
If john, mink, downning, or ellison ever read these comments do a feature story on our head coach, what motivates him, what he is like in person, off the field etc... Love our coach, I want to know if his tv personality matches his true personality. I think it'd be a interesting read, just my opinion
As stated in the article, Monroe had only missed 3 games in 5 years. Hopefully last year was an aberration, Monroe earned his salary with his play in Jville with a garbage supporting cast. Securing a middle of the pack LT is never a waste of an investment, you want us to bring back Oher or McKinney to protect Flacco? Nada. Monroe just needs to get healthy. Also to throw in as a caveat; not sure about what the Lags run down in Florida but its also very likely that Monroe wasn't 100% comfortable with the Zone blocking shceme Juan installed, causing him to think too much and play slower. Obviously this is just a guess but I'm hoping that after two full offseasons Monroe shows that he is a top 15 tackle in this league...all we need him to be. Unfortunately the Ravens dont get to dictate the market and 7 mill a year is just what it takes to protect a 100 million dollar investment in Joe
I don't think it will change the game plans that significantly in terms of when to go for 2 or not... No doubt it will impact the game Eisenberg, that's not really what the buzz is about from my perspective. I think everybody realizes it will impact games just as backup referees had an impact. Does it change a coaches mentality about kicking the PAT remains to be seen
Mosley and brown for years to come in the middle of the ravens defense, that's what this is about, great value pick
Trade back in first round draft Zack Martin OT from Notre Dame in the 20's use that pick to trade up early in second round and draft a receiver (this WR draft is so deep we can get a first round talent in the early part of round 2... That would really help our offense, also pick up another WR like sanders in FA, sign TE Daniels for obvious reasons and our offense should be big time... Obviously a idyllic situation but hey people can dream

@TDavenport_NFL, the real deal, actually knows football and understands what to look for and take away from practice
