  1. So I think after watching the whole ravens season in review press conference that I would be shocked if the ravens dont go pass rusher in the first round. this class is deep in WR with loads of speed so we could still snag an burner WR in rd 2. Apparently they think our secondary is fine as long as we get to the quarterback more so i doubt we will go CB until later rounds in the draft. just my opinion... I honestly think unless Bosa, Tunsil, or Stanley drops to us we'll trade back and pick somebody like Shaq Lawson or Robert (sp) ** the ole miss dude
  2. He will be doing mad footwork drills... probably can benefit from that after he publicly admitted his footwork wasn't great last year, He'll be back better than ever (I Hope)
  3. I never knew Joe had that kind of fire in him... refreshing to say the least, I now like Flacco even more than I already did
  4. Its all about the $$$$$... He chose us over Cincy because we offered him a chance to make 2.5 Mil next year, he probably wounldn't have gotten that # anywhere else, or else he would've chosen them
  5. possibly Harbaugh adamantly sticking up for Webby means he was kind of pissed the Pea's kept putting him on a island outside when he has already proven thats not his game... Maybe, just maybe its the first sign (at least publically) of Harbs being peeved with the defensive play calling. Lets hope because talent or not, Pea's and his secondary clearly have a disconnect on some level.
  6. no doubt this kid is a bona fide starter in the making... vision, size, enough speed, incredible ability to make the first guy miss, it doesn't take much to realize the potential this young man has... He sounds like he has his head on straight. I dont know about his competitive fire other than what I read on here, but I watched his highlight tape of USC as soon as we drafted him and knew we stole a gamer in rd 4. Not sure of the cap situation concerning JForrsett and I love the guy but there is no doubt in my mind our offense is better with Buck than with Justin... Justin is very good if he has a very good O-line, were finding out Buck Allen can make it happen on his own
  7. Vernon Hargreaves or Jalen Ramsey with 5th pick?
  8. great article, really makes you put this season into perspective... this organization is special because they do things the right way and treat employees like family... 4-8 doesn't sound so bad right now, thoughts and prayers up for the big man C.B.
  9. I'm gonna play devils advocate here, and let me preface this by saying I loved our teams heart and always cheer for us to get a W however, its not the worst thing in the world that some ravens fans want a high draft pick. Winning games breeds a winning mentality, however, playing for a higher draft pick isn't such a horrible horrible idea if youre looking at the bigger picture. (I hope) that fans who want us to get a higher pick are thinking, like me, that this is a team that can be good, and with a couple improvements, better health, and some good fortune we can be a legit contender again SOON!... its not as if were talking about changing the mentality of the franchise by wanting high draft picks every year, were not the browns or lions. Also, drafting in the top 10 is much different than drafting in the top 20 because while you can more than likely snag playmakers in the end of round one (and other rounds), its not as likely that it will be at your most pressing position of need. When you get a top 10 or top 5 pick, chances are if your a smart drafting team, you'll get a bona fide playmaker in a position of need, something that ravens fans are definitely salivating over, i dont blame some fans for wanting a ray lewis, ed reed, Tsizz type defensive player to restore our D's swagger.
  10. I'm not gonna lie about this one, As much as a ravens fan as I am, I really want us to get a high draft pick, and while I wont outright admit I was hoping we would lose, I didn't necessarily think it was the worst thing ever... but watching how hard this team plays with nothing to gain I can't help but re-commit this season as a fan. Yeah we lack talent, but our team has major heart and the effort they play with is truly admirable... On a side note I was super pumped for Webb last night, he hustled his a$$ off and tackled well, even after he missed a wide open sack he hoped up and sprinted like a bat out of hell to the ball, thats the kind of team player I will stand behind
  11. Joe Flacco aint Mike Vick... this injury shouldn't be an issue going forward, as a pocket passing QB maybe some of the 2016 season is in jeopardy but long term outlook will not be affected by this injury. As an athlete who has come back from 2 blown out knees, a player who is immobile for most of the game doesn't need explosive cutting ability to return to his old self. Running backs and receivers who suffer the same fate sometimes never make a full recovery because they loose some of that explosion, which Joe has never had anyways. Additionally, the knee brace shouldn't be an issue either, as doctors that I had conversations with said the brace is just as much a psychological boost as it is a injury preventative method. Ironically though, the way Flacco tore his ACL looked like it happened in the exact way that the brace is meant to protect (direct impact to the side of the knee) but with artificial turf, no ACL is safe... Which I will now use this platform to suggest going grass surface over the artificial turf, somebody smarter than me do a comprehensive study comparing the two and injury impact please!!!!!!
  12. How do we gauge the market value for a guy like Upshaw? I really hope we can retain his services because he is like a Jarrett Johnson on steroids, rarely out of position, always closes down the edge, its almost like I don't want him to figure out the sack game until next year when we've signed him to a respectable 4 year contract
  13. he made defenders miss, thats more than I can say about any other player on the offense right now (excluding Crockett's ability to run over people)
  14. Besides Crockett running people over, Buck Allen has shown he is the only other offensive player capable of breaking tackles and making the first guy miss... We need a lot more of that out of him, good job Buck!
  15. Finally, now how hard was it to come out and give a real diagnosis? Wishing you a speedy recovery Perriman, coming back hungrier than ever sounds good to me
  16. Ryan Jones says this much better than me so I'm just gonna paste the link to RSR http://russellstreetreport.com/2015/11/18/street-talk/breshad-perriman-mysterious-knee/
  17. TWest was just goofing off all last year so he could come home and tear it up in charm city
  18. TheConqourWorm, unless the doctors have looked at and treated Perrimans specific injury their all just speculating, so pound sand on that one. And I'm actually doing Perriman a favor, by not blaming his softness, and blaming Harbs awful way of handling this situation for the fans hating Perriman, so pound sand twice. Three, osgood schlatters can affect anybody at any time, no matter age. Young growing kids are the most common but that doesn't mean it still cant affect him now. Very real possibilty his body is still growing at only 21 years old, so pound sand thrice...
  19. I hate how nonchalant and dodgy Harbaugh is about reporting injuries. I get it, you dont want to give away competitive advantage... but ravens fans are pissed because the ravens were dishonest with us. There is no ad/disadvantage of saying this is a result of his degenerative knee disease, every other teams doctors just reviewed this kid for the draft 5 months ago so they know exactly why he has the "all time slowest healing pcl". Does Harbs think were stupid?
  20. Fusuymada duh, theyre completely different coordinators, teams, offenses, offensive player personell. When we hired Trestman we didn't keep Kubiaks playbook, no coordinator would EVER accept a position where they dont get to call their own plays, thats not how it works. We kept Kubiaks philosphy and zone run scheme the same, thats it.
  21. The whole, we've been behind in games making us throw isn't really a valid argument. If we were getting blown out and needing to come from 21 points down then yeah, you have to abandon the run. Trestman just isn't as smart as Kubiak was in calling in the right running play at the correct time. We rarely ever had loss of gains last year on the ground. For the record, Kubiak is one of the best run game coordinators ever so thats not really a slight on Trestman, as much as it was an indication that Kubkiak gets the most out of his OL's. Trestman has abandoned the run because his area of expertise is through the air, which makes sense. Harbs needs to stay in Trestmans ear about sticking to the run
  22. Eyeball test says last two games Flacco has played pretty damn good football, besides the last throw in AZ, he has played top 10 QB football, and thats against two top 10 secondarys with a bottom ten supporting cast. Hopefully he is starting to settle into this offense, and now that we finally have some speed in the WR corps we can take advantage of that rocket he has attached to his right shoulder
  23. We signed this guy because he is fast and can get deep. We dont need any more possession receivers, Marlon, Aiken, Williams, Boyle, Ross, are all possesion type receivers, now we have Givens and Morgan to stretch the field. I like the pick up, You cant just conjure up impactful players at this stage, if they were playing in the NFL they'd be on a roster already and we ain't convincing Randy Moss or TO to come play for the 2-6 ravens. Lets trade for Anquan? Why? so we can give up a draft pic for a half season rental, with no playoff shot? Were not signing anybody this late in the game to come be the long term solution. Our FO realized that were lacking speed (albeit 4 months too late), the last three receiver moves, Givens, Morgan, and to some extent Ross, bring much needed speed to our offense.
  24. lets start a petition to get him to come back for one more year
  25. RiseNConquer81 Flacco can make that bullet pass lying on his flat back... absolutely ludicrous that you think that is a difficult throw for a professional quarterback to throw, if you can't throw a bullet pass six yards no matter what the circumstances are you're not in the NFL, plain and simple. Would it have been a perfect bullet pass made easy? probably not, but its a much easier pass than that lob ball and much more effective
