  1. Honestly, if Jimmy's coming back and Melvins still here do we even need to draft a CB high? Melvin was doing great at #2 until the Patriots game, he'd be a great Nickel guy behind Jimmy and Webb.

You can never have too many corners and it's no guarantee that The Ravens will be able to re-sign Jimmy and then there;s no telling if Melvin game will improve as well.

  2. I had you down from the beginning as only having 1 6th round pick, and your SoF states you've made 1 trade, sending that pick to the Broncos for Trevathan.  Where would the 2nd have come from?

I know the Buccs received  a fifth and sixth round pick from The Rams when they trade Mark Barron. I just thought The Buccs had  a sixth round pick already to add with The Rams sixth round pick  but like I said I'm kinda confused lol. I honestly it's not a big deal and it's just a  sixth round pick but I thought I would  say something since -Truth- bought it to my attention.

  3. Solved.  Thanks for pointing it out.  I noticed it the other day but I was on mobile so couldn't correct it immediately.

-Truth- pointed it out to me the other day how I should(Buccs) have two sixth round picks. I know the sixth round pick I acquired from The Rams was traded to -Truth-(Broncos) but all honesty I'm confused on if I should have two sixth round picks.

  4. Sure money is a big thing but Marshall is 30, his replacement is already there in Jeffery, and he was jettisoned before from Devner for his attitude and now may be on the ways out anyway due to identical reasons. Due to potential character concerns and age, and the fact were close to another title, we may be able to get him in for 8.5(with incentives of course).

To my understanding Marshall has mature alot since his Denver Broncos days. He hasn't really been  as much of a character concern  as has  been in the past. If he still has the same attitude problems why would that be a good thing for our team?

  5. I think Matt Elam has the potentials to be a solid strong safety. I think his tackling issues stem from him always trying to go for the big play/big hit. He had his problems in coverage but were moments where his coverage skills were  good .  He definitely was better in his rookie year and maybe just maybe losing Teryl Austin was a factor towards second year slump. Pees definitely had the guy doing alot last season from playing free safety, strong safety, nickle corner, and etc.

  6.

If we cut Ngata, we save 8.5M off the cap If we extend him, we save something - but not as much as a cut. I'll just give the swag at 5M ... but also we're committing a significant amount of future money to him as well.

So, given that we don't save as much via extension AND are committing future dollars on Ngata's contract, it could be viewed that the only chance we have to keep McPhee is to cut and not extend Ngata.

If that is the case, what do you think is the best course of action? McPhee was great last year, but will that last? Ngata is a world class player, but how much is left in the tank? Personally, I'm torn.

Hmmmm that's alot to consider but lets keep this in mind what if Mcphee wants to be a full  time starter?  He's not going to get that opportunity  as a Raven with Suggs and Dumervil  still being here. He's not 3-4 defensive end so it's not like he can be a starter their full time . There will definitely be some teams out there that will be in need  of a pass rusher  like Mcphee but also they will be able to guarantee a every down role.

Ngata on the other hand will still be a starter if he considers a contract extension and we might already have our Mcphee replacement in Jernigan, KLM,Urban, Tyson and I been hearing this year draft has some talented pass rushers as well.

  7. Randall Cobb. Let Torrey walk, I want a  more complete receiver. Would love DT but want to be somewhat realistic and Randall Cobb would be a number 1 for us instead of a number 2 in GB.

I like Randall Cobb no doubt he benefited alot with having Jordy Nelson  on the field  with himbut I have no idea if he's a number one receiver. The Packers have a great quarterback in Rodgers and they really have great offensive system as well  but Cobb always strike me as a slot receiver.

  8. Ngata is currently a 16M cap hit.  Cutting or trading him leaves Baltimore on the hook for 7.5M which is much better.  Even a contract extension likely doesn't drop him below that 7.5M mark unless he takes a real cheap deal for about 4 additional years.

Everyone else on the d-line should be under contract (I expect Canty to be cut also) and they looked good the last 4 games without the big guy.  Didn't miss a beat.  That 8.5M saved can go towards a few free agents

In those four games with out  Ngata our defense nearly gave 100 yards  twice .Our run defense wasn't bad or anything but I kinda hope we able to keep Ngata around . He's still a solid run defender , he still can get after the passer, and he's very versatile

  9. When you have a offensive line that only allow the quarterback to be sack 19 times last year combined with the fact that Flacco  has never missed a game then the concerns of a back up quarterback aren't that high in my opinon. I guess we could always try to bring back Tyrod Taylor but we probably draft  a quarterback or just hope Keith Wenning( think that's how you spell his name) can live up to the promise the team has for him.

  10. no idea why anyone is jumping for joy over marty. i mean he did so good with sanchez and geno.

Sanchez actually didn't get the opportunity to play under Marty because he received a season ending injury during the preseason. I don't know what went wrong with Geno Smith but he did fall out of the first round for a reason in 2013 . He did end the season off quite well in his last game against The Dolphins in which he had 358 passing yards and 3 touchdowns

  11. Yeah, but Castillo is the one teaching the OL technique and he has experience as a coach and could help coordinate the ZBS to help Trestman. I hope Trestman continues what worked here with Kubiak. I think Castillo can continue the technique but it'll be up to Trestman to call the zone plays. He seems smart enough to do it.

Definitely true. I heard John Harbaugh saying they will  continue run the same offensive scheme as Gary Kubiak and plan to keep the zone blocking scheme. Marc Trestman is very smart man and new quarterback Marty Mornhinweg knows a thing a two about the zone blocking scheme as well so i'm confident everything will work out fine.

  12. I'm a bit confused as this does make it sound like the Ravens turned down Shanahan. Not sure if I like "pass happy playbook" description.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000461175/article/ravens-hire-marc-trestman-as-offensive-coordinator

The Ravens wanted Kyle Shanahan but  so did The Falcons. I'm guessing The Falcons put up more money for Shanahan but at the same time Gary Kubiak was still our offensive coordinator so we technically couldn't hire Kyle Shanahan at all.

  13. Well trestman is more bill Walsh and Mike shanny/kubiak is more don coryell

I Dont think trestman respects the run game as much as shanny's/Kubiak does seeing how Bears run game fared this year

Trestman and Mike/ Kubiak both run a west coast offense. Not all west coast offenses are the same and just about all have some form of air coryell in it.
