WHat about Zack Cunningham? I know we need ol and wr, but some people had a first round grade on him.  I don't know much about him

I like him but I don't think he will make it to our pick.

Sounds like something Gronk would do.

last pick of the 2nd? well he's alright. Nothing special. More about return skills i suppose.

I don't think a team drafts a  cornerback/player in the second round  if it's all about return skills. I'm sure The Patriots drafted him believing he could be a  pretty good corner. If not and your right about what you said  then I guess that was a reach for them .

dre has been awful, he had 1 decent but not great by any stretch of the imagination season last year. Bengal fans have never taken to him and hated the contract he was given.

yeah, btw Cyrus jones in the 3rd round wasnt a reach..thats where i projected him.

Humphrey is a 2nd round talent. I don't care how great his measurabes are.. if you're a first round corner, i want ball skills.and the ability to mirror recievers big or small.

Actually Jones was drafted in the second round by The Patriots.

Yeah that's right I totally forgot about Lawson. He's up there as one of the best pass rushers if he could stay healthy. I'd like him as our pick. You just have to hope he's going to stay healthy kinda like Ross.

For our targets today I prefe we take Derek Rivers, Bowser, Lawson, Lamp, Elfein, Zay Jones

I like Lawson as well and he definitely is up there as one the best pass rusher but I'm not sure if he can be more than just pass rush specialist for The Ravens.I think The Ravens main goal should be trying to replace Suggs not  Doom. Lawson health is a  concern but i get  optimistic about him staying healthy with The Ravens new strength and condition coach on board.

Didnt the entire league pass on M.Jack last year for it to come out his knee isn't as bad as once thought a week after the draft.

I'd classify Ross going there as a team panicking to get a WR since they lost 2 last year.  I don't feel any of the WRs were worthy of Top10 picks, but I thought the first would go to Buffalo at 10, instead all 3 went in the top 10.

Teams know it's a deep defensive draft panicked and overdrafted 2 QBs and 3 WRs in the top 15 pushing down much better prospects.

Myles Jack knee situation is considered to be a  chondral defect which is a  cartilage issue that could shorten Jack career.Imagine how bad off this guy could be if he tears his acl or some other serious injury happens  to his knee while playing football. Teams aren't prefect but they pay doctors alot of money to check on these players health before the draft but Myle Jack knee issue is a serious issue even right now. The Bengals drafted  Tyler Boyd in the second round last year and re-signed Brandon Lafell so they weren't seriously hurting for depth at the position even though they still needed more talent there. I was surprised to see some of the receivers go earlier especially when I saw Corey Davis get drafted so high.

Maybe The Bengal choosing  to draft John Ross was a panic move but pass rusher was a  need for them and they  passed up on a top 5 talent in Jonathan Allen who could have helped in that area for a wide receiver who had medical concerns as well. The only difference between Ross  and Allen medicals is that Allen situation maybe more of a long term issue and may never go away.

He was cleared and deemed healthy!  He has some arthritis in shoulder, no team gave him a failed physical or report.

Every year the nonsense happens where some player has some issue that teams fear or he has degenerative knee that hasn't cost him yet but it will ( D.Bowers ).

If Allen medicals were as good as we thought then I don't think he would have fell. The Bengals drafted John Ross over Jonathan Allen so I think that may tell you and others something.

Lets recall Ozzie's Bama connections also led to T.Cody.

And im one of the few that actually liked C.Upshaw even though he never pass rushed, I appreciate grunt work

Of the recent Bama draft picks only Mosley has lived up to expectations.

Can't forget about Jarrett Johnson who may not have been elite but  was a pretty good player for The Ravens.

we passed on gronk..and while gronk has had injury issues im pretty sure we'd have done better with him..

ahh that legendary draft..i wonder how many people here loved the terrence cody pick..?

Alot of teams passed on  Gronk  though probably for the same reasons.   Gronk was drafted before The Ravens picked Kindle and Terrance Cody so i'm not sure where you going with this one.

So. I've let the pick sit... I'm doing draft grades. I'm going to be honest.

I hate this pick. But I do not hate Marlon Humphrey

Marlon does a lot of things well. He's very good at breaking on the ball, he's got good instincts. He's a very good player. He was third rated corner, and frankly, I think he has a higher floor than most give him credit for. I think when Jimmy goes down, Humphrey becomes invaluable depth. I eventually think that by mid-season he could be a good starter. He's got a lot of things that I like. Likewise, he could eventually play safety since he's better going towards the ball than he is backpedalling. Overall. Marlon isn't the issue for me.

My issue is passing up on Jonathan Allen. What the hell were we thinking? We trade away a damn good interior rusher when he was on his A game and have one fall right into our laps and we pass on him. Even with those shoulders, I do not understand that.

Don't get me wrong. Marlon is more likely than not to become a good player in my eyes. But my god. Freaking Allen was there. Smh Ozzie. What are you doing?

overall player grade: B. I think that by mid-season Humphrey gets the starting gig and does a good job.

Overall Grade: F. You get a bonafida stud and pass on him. What was Ozzie thinking?

Allen was top 5 talent that most had going high in the first round but his medicals dropped him. His medicals must have been  a serious issue for a guy of his talent to fall that far.

Not a bad pick, but not a great value pick whatsoever.

At one point Allen, Hooker, Barnett and OJ we're all on the board. We sat back and took Hump. I hope he can learn to play the ball better. Effort and physicality is there.

Barnett got drafted by The Saints and Hooker got drafted by The Colts whom both were drafted before The Ravens even were able to make their pick. The  players that were available was  OJ and Allen before The Ravens drafted Humphrey.  Allen medical must be serious if he fell this far especially for top 5 talent and I like O.J Howard and figured he would be the pick .
