The sign ups for the UDFA process will begin at 7 PM tonight and will end at 7 PM tomorrow. Please give a verbal confirmation if you wish to continue in the discussion thread during that span. We will have an order ready within the hour after the deadline is passed and we will begin the UDFA tomorrow at 7:30 PM. We have less a month remaining on this board, so I would hope that the attendees are quick with their trigger fingers once we start.

  2. Is there big difference from Taco Charlton and Bronson Kaufusi?  I'm not entirely confident that Hendrickson and Stewart will be available in the rounds you pick them in. Hendrickson stock has gone up and I think he  atleast will be third or fourth round pick.

Adams flashes on tape, which had my interest initially, but I am admittedly intrigued by the amount of visits he's worked out for. He's workout with 11 teams thus far either via private visits or pro day workouts, including us. Could be one of those players who's taken earlier than otherwise expected.

    @jazz1988 is now OTC.

    Thanks @-Truth- you OTC....... Again

  4. John Harbaugh spoke highly of Breshad Perriman and Chris Moore at The NFl Combine. Both those guys have great upside especially Perriman who may have more upside than the top 3 receivers in this draft. I like Corey Davis but I don't think The Ravens should trade up for him or will need to if he falls out of the top 10. The only team I can see taking him is probably The Cardinals but I expect Rueben Foster to still be  available and I don't see them passing up on him. Corey Davis has yet to workout for scouts due to  him recovering from  a  ankle injury which may cause  teams that pick before The Ravens to be concern about taking Davis so high.

I don't think it's a must that The Ravens take wide receiver in the first round because there will be talented receivers in second and third round that fit what they need.

Were up to18 negs and not one member has stated a better offensive lineman we can get in this draft than Le'el Collins. Tell us a better offensive lineman we can get and even an equal one and I'll be happy to change the pick. Until then it is my mock. Trust me I would prefer a rookie but this is a weak draft for offensive lineman.

I really like Taylor Moton  and he reminds me alot of K.O

I really like takk I think he has great potential. All he needs are a couple disengaging moves and he's a 10+ sack guy. Hes not as stuff as some make him out to be, he his needs to be refined. Very refined. But he could come in and be an edge defender and interior rusher for now. Guards will have issues with his length and quickness. Then mold him to be the grit to suggs, that's my idea of what to do with him

I like Takk but was disappointed in his 3 cone drill time. I question if he's fluid enough to drop into coverage and not sure if he's a good fit as a  outside linebacker as well.

Being a long time player on the team is worth something as well. Not necessarily for a "loyalty credit", but knowing the system well, no learning curve.

It also isn't easy to find  young or safety in general that are able to   play that true center fielder role at free safety which is something Webb was capable of doing last year.

Depends on how much is guaranteed. Being able to step in at corner ups his value as well.

This and the way teams are using safeties now it's  probably mandatory for the number 3 safety to be ready to start right away and often. . Duron Harmon was The Patriots back up safety and got a 4 year deal and saw like 500 snaps on defense. If Webb who was rated as the 15th best safety last year is due for just as many snaps or more than Harmon then this is a reasonable deal

Looks like the Eagles are looking forward. Wish we would.

Even though The Ravens don't run  a pure 4-3 defense but instead  a 4-3 under or hybrid 3-4 defense I don't think Jernigan being completely truthfully with this statement. I don't know how often he was asked to rush the passer on other downs but on obvious passing downs this guy is asked to get after the passer. He  has a  opportunity to do it more often with The Eagles but to say this is his first time ever being told to "Go" doesn't makes sense to me unless he said this his first time being told to so consistently .

If Webb was the 15 ranked safety out of 64 then you would think teams would of been happy of his release. Jumped all over him but they didn't.  Did he do his job...yes!!! He didn't let the ball go over his ( kept everything in front) head. He's 12 - 15 yards off the ball. If he's so great, left as a starter and come back as a back up! Okay,  will Webb make a impact on special? He is to injury prone. I'm done and hope I'm wrong!

Ladarius Webb is 31 years old and this year draft is consider deep in secondary talent. No team is going to rush to sign him at the moment and probably want to wait until after the draft so they can get him cheaper. Corey Graham is the same age as Webb and to my understanding he played quite well at the safety position and he's still a free agent. Other guys like Jonathan Hankins,Perry Riley, Gerald Hodges,Jared Odrick,Erik Walden,  and are good player that are still free agents.

  11. I know the sacks and tackles are correct but according to sportingcharts.com Brent Urban had 2 sacks and 3 quarterback hurries last year. He only  had 150 defensive snaps on defense according footballoutsiders.com. The Ravens were very high on when they drafted him in 2014 and I think they said he had first round talent but it maybe reasonable to think with more snaps he could replace Timmy Jernigan production.

  12. Even though I didn't get a left tackle i'm proud of what I have done so far. I got  CB Fabian Moreau in the 2nd round, OG/C Pat Eflien in the 3rd round, DT Elijah Qualls & WR Amara Darboah in the 4th found, G Danny Isidora in the fifth round, and  WR Robert Davis in the 6th round. If there was anything I wanted to do in this draft it would be improving my offensive line and I feel like I did a good job  accomplishing that so far..

We've had a much higher percentage of players perform well on their contract year of their rookie deals than those that haven't.

Off the top of my head: Ellerbe, Kruger, McPhee, A.Jones, Osemele, T.Smith  earned themselves big contracts elsewhere.

One of the only guys to play significant time then leave following their rookie contract and not get paid is Upshaw.

Just because he's been traded today doesn't mean I'm changing my tune. I felt Jernigan was going to take yet another step forward this year get about 8+ sacks this year.

Now everyone like he faded at the end of last year, the entire defense faded at the end of last year.

The Raven are in a win now mode and already invested heavily into their defensive line. When Ellerbe, Kruger, Mcphee, Jones, Osemele  and  T Smith were free agent The Ravens weren't in the situation they are  in now.   If they felt like Timmy Jernigan was going to take the next step then he wouldn't have been traded and if they didn't feel like they had in house candidates to replace his production  then he wouldn't have been traded. If Jernigan fading at   the end of the last year was just a  one time thing then I  would question the move more  but it wasn't because he did the same thing in 2015. His snaps decreased last year as the season went on but his effectiveness continue to  be inconsistent.  I know he's in a contract year  and that may give him extra motivation but his extra motivation should  have  been last year as well because he knew Brandon Williams was going to be a free agent and he could have made a strong case to The Ravens to give him extension instead of Williams. The Ravens pass rush sucked later on in the season and losing Jimmy Smith in games they needed him most didn't help either but Suggs was playing with one arm, Matt Judon was a rookie, Doom was coming off acl tear, and  Timmy Jerigan was a player that saw his snaps reduced and still was ineffective.

I don't want to hear anyone mention Jernigan as inconsistent and then try to say Carl Davis can replace him. It's just stupid. Davis is worse than Jernigan at disappearing. He managed to do it for the whole year outside of the preseason and a game or two early.

I don't think anyone saying he can replace Jernigan but it obvious the guy can be pretty good player if he's more consistent .  Jernigan or no Jernigan The Ravens need to find the next Terrell Suggs in this draft.

You are playing the what if game with Jernigan.

Theres also no guaruntee that moving up 25 spots will get us a great, good or even average player. They could be a complete bust. You also have no clue what other teams will draft like. We could move up 25 spots to see all of the guys at our positions of need taken before that pick.

Jernigan basically disappeared  later on in the season  last year. This is not something  new with him even though he had 5 sack last year which was a season best for him. What I find interesting is that even with his snap count being reduced later on in the season  his production didn't go up  or should I say it  didn't help him be more effective. Just like there isn't any guarantees that The Raven won't be able to get a great, good or even average player after moving 25 spots in the third there isn't any guarantee that Jernigan would be more consistent and actually make plays when needed. The guy came into training camp in great shape and still wasn't consistent last year .

We have an old Suggs, Judon, and Willie Henry as our best pass rushers. And it isn't like we don't have holes on O-line, at WR, and ILB. I hate to say it but the way things look right now, we could have a lot of new faces next year.

We are pretty much hoping Kaufusi and Henry can be starters right now

Can't forget about their third round pick Carl Davis
