  1. Your technically comparing Perriman to Stephen Hill and I honestly don't see it when I watch tape. You also seem to constantly like to mention how correct you are because of Elam whom isn't even a bust yet because usually it takes three season for a player to reach their potentials but as I said before you said Jimmy Smith was a bust and even said Justin Forsett was a waste . Elam rookie season was alot better than his second season i thought he played solid but some fans just hate player regardless .
  2. Training camp is when the real battle for a roster spot or overall the real time to impress coaches . OTAs is cool and all but none of the players are wearing pads and players can't be physical with each other like they would in training camp.If Camp is ready to go once training camp starts then he should be good.
  3. Torrey end up being the starter because Lee Evans foot or ankle was giving him problems to the point he had to be held out for some games in which gave Torrey enough room to make a impact . The Ravens actually traded for Lee Evans because their own receivers weren't impressive enough in training camp/preseason and the same may actually happen if the current group of receivers don't impress enough as well. John Harbaugh made the statement that Steve Smith was getting a reduce role before Torrey Smith was actually a offically a free agent and went on to sign with the 49ers I don't know for sure but maybe Harbaugh thought there was a good chance Torrey could had been re-signed but at the same time hoping a rookie and some unproven starters would give Steve Smith more opportunity to see the slot or reduce his role may not be 100 precent realistic. It can definitely happen but we shall see. I honestly think it's best that The Ravens try to keep Steve Smith fresh as much as possible but if no ones steps up then Steve Smith could be looking at another season where he's the number one target. I know Camp just recently got injuried but any thing can happen concerning the wide receiver battle.
  4. It's not really gurantee for Smith Sr to get most of his catches out of the slot. Perriman and Waller are both rookies whom actually may not be able to handle being starters right away. The rest of The Ravens receivers are unproven as starters besides maybe Marlon Brown which isn't saying much because he has his question marks as a starter .Steve Smith could be looking at another year where he gets more snaps on offense than The Ravens would like.
  5. Calling Perriman the ultimate project player is a little too much. The guy is raw but he isn't that raw.
  6. Webb is The Ravens outside corner.Webb didn't look good last season but his play improved during the later portion of the season . His back injury or other injuries he had last season should be fully healed by training camp or by now. The other outside corners The Ravens have besides Jimmy Smith and Ladarius Webb are Rashaan Melvin, Tray Welker, Asa Jackson, and Tramin Jacobs.
  7. This year draft class was considered to be weaker than last year draft class at the tight end positon. None of the rookie tight ends in 2014 tore it up and usually rookie tight end take time to get adjusted to The NFL. I don't really expect Maxx Williams and Nick Boyles to be super productive this season . Crockett Gilmore could indeed have a solid season but Marc Trestmans is running a offensive system similar to Gary Kubiak which indeed involves full backs especially versatile ones. As I said before Juice is our best lead blocker for the kick returner and he's important to the team. Marc Trestmans also isn't new to when it comes to using full backs along with two tight ends. You can see that when he was the offensive coordinator of The 49ers in 1996, and Cardinals in 1998.
  8. Melvin still has lots to prove and overall there's no telling how good Tray Walker can be. Walker has good upside and you can never have too many corners .
  9. To say he hasn't a done a thing is kinda beyond wrong Juice brings a lot of versatility to The Ravens offense because he's so versatile. You can use him to block for the running back, line him up in the slot, and even use play action plays where he's the one being target .In todays NFL offensive coordinators are always looking for a mismatches and cause confusion towards opposing defenses. Juice is a player that helps with that . John Harbaugh love's special teams and guess who's one of the best blockers on the team for the kick returner. I like Waller and D. Carter but none them have shown anything yet. Waller a developmental player whom i'm sure The Ravens hope will eventually become something good but unless he's really making the case for being The Ravens number 3 or 4 wideout then he going to have to prove his worth on special teams. Carter has the ability to be a kick/punt returner but his experience in that area in college is pretty limited.
  10. I don't know about that.Jimmy Smith isn't a interception machine and Ladarius Webb was actually our best ball hawking cornerback at one time but he's been dealing with injuries. Corey Graham and Cary Williams both had their best year interception wise with Dean Pees as the defensive cooridinator. I just don't think the idea that getting more turnovers should be consider not a option with Pees as defensive cooridinator. In 2011 when The Ravens had more of so called aggressive defensive coordinator in Chuck Pagano the defense had a total of 15 interceptions and in 2013 when the defense had a much better secondary than in 2014 with Dean Pee as a defensive coordinator the defense had a total of 16 interceptions. Can't really say Dean Pees defensive system doesn't generate interceptions or won't generate better numbers especially if the secondary stays healthy.
  11. Yes there's room for Elam. Elam won't be playing corner this year unless some injuries happen. He will most likely sub in and out with Will Hill along with playing special teams.
  12. True but Arthur Brown is still a player The Ravens traded up for in the second round. You got to give your second highest investment from the 2013 draft playing time some kind of way.
  13. I think Deangelo Tyson has been forgotten as well
  14. Swearinger isn't really all that good him self and there's a reason why The Texans cut him . You don't cut a starter unless he's really not that good or there's some friction between the player and coach. I'm not really sure if Elam would have been history if Swearinger was signed.
  15. So I guess you expecting him to beat out Marlon Brown and Kamar Aiken. If that's true then we shall see. I'm not really expecting Waller to be The Ravens number 3 or 4 receiver right away and he's going to have to impress on special teams especially if he isn't a starter.
  16. I like the signing but what does this mean for Webb? I kinda like when Pees would get creative with Webb and move him in the nickel/slot and ask him to cover the slot receivers or blitz while our much taller corners cover those tall/bigger outside receivers either in press or man coverage.
  17. Kyle Arrington a solid nicker corner whom can be inconsistent at times especially if you asking him to play the outside which is a no no. He did lead the league in interceptions one time with seven so I guess he has some ball skills but he's a guy you want in the nickel at all times. I was a little iffy on the signing because like I said Arrington is a nickel corner and usually The Ravens like using Ladarius Webb in the nickel at times especially when opposing teams go 3 wide receiver sets and etc.It be interesting to see if The Ravens keep Webb on the outside for the majority of the seasons because I honestly like when Pee's get's creative with him and ask him to cover slot receivers or biltz from the slot.
  18. Cutting Revis and Browner seem like for cap reason only and Dennard got cut because some said his work ethic was poor and etc. Robert McClain actually used to be one of the better nickel corners in the league but his play fell off especially last year but The Falcons pass rush was really poor so maybe The Patriots believe Mcclain can be just as good as Kyle Arrington with better pass rush which what they have. I guess that's why Arrington was cut but who knows .
  19. I think Butler replaced Arrington in the super bowl so I guess The Patriots have high hopes for him after that.
  20. I don't see how Carter and Campanero both can't make the team. Campanero more of a punt returner while Carter may add value as a kick returner. I guess you say this because both of them are short but if they can play and play really well then why not add them to the team. I don't know how good Carter can be and some have compared him to Andrew Hawkins and some think he resembles Steve Smith but we shall see how he turns out in training camp.
  21. I don't envision him being our number 3 corner right off the bat but he does add solid competition.
  22. That doesn't mean he will be used as a pass catching tight end or that they envision him as a tight end .
  23. Could still be Andre Monroe. The Ravens haven't officially added Julian Wilson to i.r and they probably haven't finished making cuts either.
  24. According to PFF college quarterbacks throwing into Byron Jones direction had an NFL passer rating of just 26.3. The guy can play. I was really impressed with Jones after watching tape and honestly getting a understanding of what his character was like on the field. I honestly thought for sure he would be drafted by The Ravens if available but we took Perriman instead which is something I was pleased with. I wasn't really sure if Perriman was on The Ravens radar because he was pretty raw as receiver but his upside is just undeniable so I really understand why they took him.
  25. Not really sure about that. Jacoby Jones had about four drop passes in his last year with The Texans and went on to only drop atleast two passes or so when he became a Raven(2012 and 2013). Overall it seems like the jug machine did help him atleast until Gary Kubiak became the offensive coordinator last year and he went on to drop four passes again like he did as a Texan.
