  2. I don't think Aiken was being utilized properly in the first half of the season. I believe Marc Trestman was using him more on deep routes that don't necessarily fit his strength consistently. Aiken is in a similar mold as Anquan Boldin (no I'm not saying he is as good as him) which is a receiver that doesn't have the speed to beat you deep but good enough to make plays on outside at times but has the physical strength and height to cause problems in the slot against nickel corners .
  3. I mention that Aiken may be cheaper because he had a down year but he of course could end up getting just as much as those receivers. Most of these free agent receivers are upside and what if to me with Alshon Jefferey and Terrell Pryor at the top of the list. Both of those guys have their question marks and both are guys I don't expect The Ravens to be able to sign. Legitimately improving the wide receiver position to me means getting a number one receiver which none of the available receivers are. I like Kenny Britt and he was ranked top 10 in making catching against tight coverage according to NFL gen stats and he caught 60 percent of his passes. Is some of the available free agent receivers more faster and explosive than Aiken? Yes they are but I feel like he's underappreciated and underrated . When come to wide receiver position The Ravens need Breshad Perriman to step up no matter who they decide to sign or even draft.
  4. I don't understand why Kamar Aiken is somewhat unappreciated . The guy had 900 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns in 2015 and caught 60 percent of his passes. He can play outside as well as inside and has shown to be dependable in the past. He had a down year last year and I'm not surprised by that after seeing him being pushed to play on special teams and not getting the chances on offense like he would have expected after his 2015 season..I have seen Ravens fans talk about Pierre Garcon and Robert Woods but I think Kamar Aiken is a similar player as them and may even be cheaper..
  5. Well, I personally feel bad right about now cause of this and i'm personally sorry
  6. I personally like them both...
  7. Barwin younger but if the issue with Doom is just that he was dealing with a torn acl and could possibly regain form after healing then why entertain trading for a 30 year old pass rush coming off a down year with a cap hit of 8 million when the team could probably save money by asking Doom to take a pay cut and still have a pass rusher?

  16. I'm working on my depth chart now . So am I suppose to give you my email address?
  17. Is there really a big difference between Desean Jackson and Mike Wallace? Desean Jackson was a deep threat receiver considered to be limited as route runner/one trick pony and he was productive for The Eagles when Marty M was the offensive coordinator.
  18. Well I wouldn't say it has improved...at all. Torrey is the only WR that's been a homegrown talent and yet he was just a deep threat and could never develop his game, ie better routes, locating and adjusting to the ball....etc. Coaching and scouting are the problems in my opinion Since Bobby Engram been here The Ravens have only drafted three receivers which is Breshad Perriman,Micheal Campanaro, and Chris Moore. I wasn't really all that disappointed in Breshad Perriman last season which was really his rookie season. It's nothing that doesn't make me think Campanao can't be a pretty good slot receiver if he just able to stay healthy. I didn't think Chris Moore issues was getting opening but instead catching the ball but he was a rookie. Kamar Aiken has been useful for The Ravens and they have been able to get more out of him than previous teams he played for. Mike Wallace obvious was productive and for alot of fans saying he can't catch the ball well he caught 61 percent of his passes which is his highest since his Steeler days. The 2017 season is definitely a season where The Ravens will have to trust Bobby Engram to help these young receivers step up but I'm not dissatisfied with what he has done so far. When comes to Torrey Smith he didn't become a great route runner or a elite receiver but he did became a player maker and one of the better deep threat in the league. Some players just are what they are and The Ravens atleast were able to maximize that. Mike Wallace was consider just a one trick pony when he was a Steeler and most people think they do a great job finding receivers and coaching them.
  19. I have to do my depth chart later on today or tonight but how do I put in my information concerning my sof?
  20. I actually thought that it maybe a good idea for The Ravens to atleast consider trading for Ragland but they probably wouldn't consider that until after the draft or after a few weeks in training camp. Ideally Ragland is a two down inside linebacker who was pretty solid against the run in college but maybe limited coverage wise. Honestly his coverage ability is something he really needs to prove and he could be more than a two down player.
  21. Julius Pepper may have made 8m last year but before that he had a 2014 seasos with 7 sacks and 2015 season with 10 sacks as a Green Bay Packer. Him getting paid 8millon was quite justified and he also had leverage to due so because he was still playing at a high level and Packers first rounder pass rushers such as Nick Perry and Datones Jones aren't the most reliable. Robert Mathis made 5 million last year at the age of 35 but he's been a Indianapolis Colt since the day he was drafted and he had 7 sacks the previous year. He was graded out as one of the worst outside linebacker last year but even before 2016 season started The Colts had no better pass rusher than him so they couldn't really ask Mathis to take a pay cut without a strong possibility of them losing him and him losing respect for the team. Elvis Dumervil made about 6 million last year and it was justified for The Ravens to pay him that much because he had 6 sacks and 20 quarterback hurries in 2015. They had every reason to believe he could continue to play at a high level in 2016 especially as a pass rush specialist that only comes in on obvious passing downs . Now that Doom ended the 2016 season only playing in 8 games and with 3 sacks , 2 force fumbles, and minimum quarterback hurries it would lead me to believe he really has no leverage at all to believe he is worthy of the salary he's reported to get in 2017. He's 33 years old and coming off a acl tear that obviously affected his speed and it's no telling if he will be able to return to form The Ravens have every reason to believe that Matt Judon or even Za'Darius Smith could replace him at this point and we all know this is a what have you done for me lately type league. One of The Reason why I think The Ravens should try to keep Doom at a reduced salary is because you can never have too many pass rushers and who knows maybe he will return back to his productive ways as a pass rusher. Doom also has said he loves playing as a Raven and believes they are building something special so he may be willing to take a pay cut base off that alone. Mike Wallace biggest asset is his speed and that can be a concern for him going forward since he's in his thirties but according to NFL.com he was listed as one of the top fastest players in The NFl last season . He only came in second behind Stefon Diggs who is much younger than him so who's to say he won't continue to be fast at the age of 32 to or beyond. Wallace has never sustained a major injury in his NFL career and if possible can you list any player that lost their speed rapidly in their early thirties ? Breshad Perriman definitely needs to be in consideration but for first rounder he needs to be more than a deep threat. I like Chris Moore but he dropped alot of passes but at this point mentioning that Perriman and Moore can do what Mike Wallace can do is a little premature. That's like saying former Ravens wide receiver Chris Givens can do what Torrey Smith did which never happened . Wallace has established his self as one of the better deep threats in the league which something neither Perriman and Moore has done yet. Opposing defenders aren't going to respect a speedy receiver until that receivers gives them something to respect so if unproven guy like Chris Moore is on the field you really think defenders are going to worry about him? The answer should be no. Ladarius Webb won't be 32 years old until October 12 and 32 years old for a safety that's really all that old. The Ravens do need to add more youth to the safety position and there's no denying that at all but i'm not at all concerned about Webb and Weddle age. Hopefuly The Ravens can draft a safety with the potentials to handle deep cover responsibilities which will probably be hard for them to find in the free agent market .
  22. I don't like Tony Jefferson as much because he doesn't have enough range or maybe even speed to play free safety in Dean Pees scheme which means he would limit Eric Weddle at what he likes to do at times when roaming around the field . This is only if The Ravens decided to cut Webb in favor of signing him but I doubt he doesn't want nothing less than a starting role.
  23. I know they are cap numbers but if their contract changes due to a pay cut or due to a extension their cap number changes as well atleast that's what I thought. Doom is 33 years old and is coming off a season where he had 3 sacks and played in only 8 games due to a mysterious injury which later on was revealed to be a acl tear. Not only is it questionable if he will be able to return to form due to his age but not even Chris Long who had the same production for Los Angeles Rams got more than 5 million on the open market and he's younger than Doom. Panthers defensive Charles Johnson who is 30 years old played on a 1yr 3 million dollar contract. Dwight Freeney who is only two or three years old than Doom played on a 1 yr million dollar contract last season and he had 8 sacks for The Arizona Cardinals before signing with The Falcons. So If a future hall of famer like Dwight Freeney didn't get more than 5 million or 5 million period then how much you really think Doom is going to get if he's cut by The Ravens especially when this years draft is some what deep in pass rush talent I don't expect The Ravens to cut Mike Wallace but he is on his last deal and he may have shown well enough to get a contract extension which would be helpful for both sides. It helps The Ravens with more cap space and Mike Wallace him self gets to have another year or so added to his contract. Dennis Pitta had a career year and caught 70 percent of his passes but averaged 8.5 yards per reception and only had two touchdowns but has a higher cap hit than Gronk. He's 31 years old, averaged 8.9 yards per catch, and his hip may still be somewhat of a concern. The Ravens gave him a opportunity that another team may not have been willing to do and I'm not entirely confident he will get more or the same amount of money if he was released but he still is reliable since he caught 70 percent of his passes. The word reliable is not something I can't say about the other tight ends on the team. This year draft is really deep at the tight end position so that may lower his value if he was released which i'm sure his agent would have take inconsideration . Ladarius Webb and Shareece Wright are two players i'm not sure it would be best for The Ravens to cut especially Webb. Webb is just too valuable to cut and he played quite well last year as well. Webb can play free safety, strong safety, cornerback and is considered to be a leader on the team. I'm not entirely sure if he would be willing to take a pay cut because he is so valuable but The Ravens were quite nice to him last season because he made 9 million which didn't really reflect his play even though he was ranked the 14th best safety by pro football focus. Shareece Wright is a guy that most probably wouldn't mind seeing getting cut because he didn't play so well last season but I value continuity in the secondary and communication is key in the secondary. He atleast gives The Ravens a experienced vet that has shown ability to play well and I don't see how he wouldn't accept a pay cut because . I don't see him getting more than what he's already getting .
  24. Thanks.. Can't wait to get started because I have some pretty good ideas to make this team better .
