I think what's concerning about him is injuries. I think that may scare The Ravens away atleast in the first round.

I just question if he is capable of being a every down player especially since he was in great shape last season but still wasn't consistent enough . He wasn't bad last year at all and maybe The Ravens new strength and conditioning coach can help him stay more consistent. He's a good player and has the ability to be better than that but if his asking price is too high and the other defensive ends step up then I can see The Ravens letting him go especially if he continues to be inconsistent.

I have to agree.Timmy J is a good player but is too inconsistent and I'm starting to think he may not be capable of being a every down player.

Yeah he fits everything The Ravens like but It just that they would have to explain why Marshall is such a exception because of his past issues. I don't know how they will but I guess it helps that there was no video of his past incidents and that he seems like a changed person since then.

The Ravens said alot of things this offseason but that doesn't mean everything is going to go according to plan especially with limited cap space. Of course they can work out ways to create more cap space in order to sign players they want but I think they have to be realistic when it comes to replacing Zuttah. They say this is what you have done for me lately type league so Mangold shouldn't be viewed as reliable . I can't say to you right now if The Ravens sign Mangold they are getting a for sure good starting center or a reliable one at that. Just because Mangold is more physical than Zuttah it doesn't mean he will be better than him. Honestly at 33 years old Mangold might find himself getting pushed around(definitely did against The Steelers last year) and I honestly think The Ravens need to get back to what worked best. The Ravens rushing attack hasn't been good or great since 2014 so I don't understand why wouldn't they want to get back to what worked b. If they lose Wagner then Alex Lewis becomes a candidate to replace him and since both Zuttah and Urschel excel in the zone blocking it not only fits their current starting center best but it also probably gives them answer at left guard since Urschel has played well at that position in 2014 when ever K.O was too hurt to play . John Harbaugh said they want to build around Joe Flacco then trying to build a rushing attack similar to what they did in 2014 seems like the best blue print to go by in my opinion and The Ravens can't pretend like they don't have the coaches to do so because Marty M, Joe D and even Greg Roman are not strangers to the zone blocking scheme.

Last year Mangold played with left guard James Carpenter(former first rounder) and right guard Brian Winter(former third rounder) who just got a contract extension for playing well . Neither of those guys are Marshal Yanda but from what I have gathered they aren't terrible either. Winter was bad in 2014 and 2015 but his play was better in 2016 but Mangold has not always played with other great offensive linemen . This is the same guy who has been a top center in The NFl while playing with average starters like Vlad Ducasse , Willie Colon ,and etc. I can understand injuries but beings surrounded by talent hasn't been the reason for his success in the past so why would it be now? . Jeremy Zuttah had his worst season last year as a Raven and for most of the season played through injuries but I don't know why he doesn't get a pass for that . Blocking scheme wise I don't know The Ravens direction with that . They hired a offensive line coach that has experience with teaching the zone blocking scheme and Marty M likes that scheme . Greg Roman himself has experience using it especially when he had Lesean McCoy as his starting running back when he was The Bills offensive coordinator. Mangold is 33 years old and I have no clue on how good he is even if healthy but I hope Ravens fans aren't showing interest in this guy because of name alone.
