He is the softest of our three tight-ends, but has the best hands. I like Boyle, I like Gilmore. Williams will need to hit the weight room this off season to harden that soft body and get the most out of it!
A lot of "dead money" on the books! May need to re-evaluate how long-term contracts are distributed and who has the final word on such. Would that be Steve Biscotti or the Dick Cass. The "Cap Guy", Mr M's hands aren't clean either.
No doubt that Monroe's injury is legit, however, when Harbaugh left it up to him, his agent, and his doctor, to try to play, that was his out. We need a franchise LT. The dead money upon his release will be an issue.
London is a wonderful trip and great place to visit, but, I wouldn't want to lose a home game over there. The bye-week would have to be wrapped around it somehow.
E. DeCosta is being paid a G.M.'s salary to be an assistant. When does he get to step up and run the War Room? Ozzie may never retire. He will have to be transitioned out like Casserly, and Polian. Old GM's are the last to know that you can't draft like you did 20 yrs ago. The game constantly evolves. You need fresh direction and I would hope Ownership would recognize that.
Crockett is showing the ability we thought he had, and if he can stay healthy and continue to develop, he can become a weapon. Boyle is a pleasant surprise! The constant leaping over potential defenders however will shorten his shelf life. Love his toughness. Maxx Williams needs to show me more toughness. He also can't call out sick often or he will lose his reps, second rd. pick or not!
All things being equal, neither of these guys would have made any of the teams we were used to watching these past 10-15 yrs. Injuries make for strange decisions!
