You're not top 5 bc of Brock, but I consider you a competitor for the big money.
look at the cowboys... No cap space. As a result, they SUCK. The Chargers also massively downgraded at several positions....
You ask me, my top 5 in no particular order
1. Seattle
2. Myself
3. Eagles
4. Denver
5. Packers
Followed by the Browns(nice improvement), Niners, Jacksonville(who's team is the most improved), Raiders(older, but still effective for another season or two), Carolina, Saints(even though they downgraded).
After around that there's the drop off.
I'll take #3. I do think Seattle is the team to beat, no doubt. I think your Bengals did massively upgrade at QB but I'm still not sure that Romo can win a title; however he is worlds better than Dalton. I doubt I'd rank you second but top 5 seems right. My team is strong across the board and can win with offense or defense, which is something the Eagles didn't have last year. I think my ranking is about right. Denver made some good moves to a high caliber squad and should remain very dangerous. They might be my #2 team. Packers have also made some nice moves to supplement a strong roster.
True but they didn't have me as GM before. You can't hold that "dream team" crap era against me
Just saw the argument about the Raiders, Chargers, and Bengals and all I have to say is my Eagles will destroy all 3 of you lol
For the right to play Jacksonville in the Super Bowl...

Thank you. It was in a dire need of help. We now have filled every hole of the two units discussed with more than viable starters.
Indeed. We both have absolutely dominant groups at DB and OL. Should be a good season in the NFC this year.
That I did. I didn't wants to touch the starters. That they should. Miles ahead of where they were last season.
Impressed with the OL. Not only did you patch the holes you even improved spots that didn't need it like LT.
You had to, given the situation. You were dealt a poor hand. It's one of the best. But I've improved mine as well.
Yea yours came to mind as the one that might be better. Then again, you had an elite group to being with. The city of Philadelphia should give me an award for turning Fletcher, Cary, Boykin, Chung, and Allen into Vontae, Shields, Boykin, Weddle, and Nelson.
I know I REALLY overpaid for Shields. DBs usually get a pretty big markup but if I had known I was gonna have to spend 12 stars I would have gone with Talib or DRC. Oh well, I'm still really happy with my secondary and I think it might just be the best in the league.
Eagles cut:
Michael Hoomanuanui - .5
Brandon Washington - .5
Aubrayo Franklin - .5
Again, that slights me which isn't fair either as I've already explained I would cut conte and then I had no one left to sign so I would dedicate all funds to shields... Which is why there should be some sort of compromise as suggested in my previous post.
Curious, how much would Conte being cut and nobody else leave you. This isn't your fault at all but I feel like I am getting a raw deal here.
I definitely understand that. It's a very unfortunate situation. But every GM prior to this scenario was allowed to cut bids in order to up the ante. He reserves that right as well. If we don't allow him to bid because of a mistake made by the upstairs, then it would be unfair to him as well.
I'd feel differently if he had the space to make the bid, but this gives him a ridiculously unfair advantage and I don't think any bid above 9 should count.
Miami Hurricane and stm85 will have to bid for Shields. It's unfortunate for the latter, as his bid was posted. But you didn't receive a bid because the former was attempting to figure out what was going on, as there was obviously a mistake made.
Seeing as he'd have to make cuts to even match my bid, I don't see how its fair for him to be able to make cuts and then bid with the knowledge of my bid.
But I could cut a player to match that or exceed it as has been done before if I recall...
I'd have a problem with that because you'd be doing it knowing what I already bid
My mistake, I was fielding the bids for the past 25 minutes
So is Shields not mine? I'm not sure how this can work fairly now that he knows my bid
How? I haven't sent a bid for shields...
Berad said he was mine after I submitted my bid
I overpaid like crazy for Shields but that's what happens in DB FA. I'd argue that my secondary is one of the best in the NFL, if not the best:
CB1: Vontae Davis
CB2: Sam Shields
Slot CB: Brandon Boykin
FS: Reggie Nelson
SS: Eric Weddle
Eagles win Sam Shields for 10.5 stars and Quentin Mikell for .5
Who are we sending bids to? I haven't gotten a PM yet.
Who should I send my bid to?
Eagles win Quentin Mikell for .5 stars
Eagles cut:
Curtis Marsh - .5
Najee Goode - .5
Chicago Bears

Oh gotcha. It's a good list. I have no qualms with it after looking over the depth charts, although there are some teams that were very good last year that might sneak up on others because they didn't make any splashy moves (49ers and Panthers come to mind)
