  1. I'm going to be offline until tomorrow afternoon probably. Who wants my pick?
  2. Pick is in. I went with a young, talented FB with experience in a read option scheme similar to the one I will be running. Young is a fantastic blocker and a threat both as a runner and reciever. He was a big part of Washington's success last year and will make my backfield more formidable.
  3. I see your point but you don't build complete teams in fantasy football, complete with an OL and 11 players on D. That's part of the fun, as is selecting guys who dominate the trenches but don't necessarily put up the stats that make them valuable in fantasy.
  4. I wouldn't call this fantasy football. There are no games played and no points rewarded. We are simply building our own franchises for the fun of it and it includes all 22 positions.
  5. I thought about another guy but he was older. Other than Wisniewski my line is on the older side with Roos, Herremans, and Boothe, so I thought Hudson would be a nice injection of youth. There is some risk involved, but Chiefs fans love him and his play and he should be ready to go for camp. I had the Chiefs in the mock offseason so I have done so research already and I think Hudson has the potential to be a Pro-Bowl caliber interior lineman for a long time. I also like that everyone on my OL except for Roos can play multiple positions. Boothe, Hudson, and Wisniewski can all play either G or C and Herremans is a great player at either G or RT. This line should be quite balanced and effective in allowing Kaepernick and Stewart to make plays.
  6. I don't recall any major injuries from him in college. Is there something else other than the broken bone in his leg last year?
  7. Pick is in. Hudson is an exciting young interior OL prospect thaat was having a great second season before getting hurt. The Chiefs are planning on using him at C but he has looked good when playing G. I wanted to add a RT but the position was very thin, so I am moving Herremans back outside to RT and slotting Hudson at RG.
  8. I considered him heavily when I picked Red Bryant, but I went in the direction I did because I didn't think Bunkley was a great fit in a 3-4 hybrid. Fantastic pick, he should have been gone much, much longer ago.
  9. Pick is in. I chose Brinkley to be a powerful, inside the box run stuffer. He has issues in coverage but won't need to be a 3 down player with Wheeler and Acho. He fits well in my front 7 and gives my defense more balance. Now my defense is complete: DE: Chris Long DT: Marcel Dareus DT/DE: Red Bryant OLB/DE: Demarcus Ware ILB: Philip Wheeler ILB: Jasper Brinkley OLB: Sam Acho CB: Leon Hall CB: Desmond Trufant FS: Reggie Nelson SS: Pat Chung It is not a perfect unit but I think it is one of the better groups in this draft. The pass rush should be devestating, the coverage strong, and the run defense solid.
  10. Sorry for the delay guys. I got caught in traffic coming back from DC. I'll try to have the pick up in the next 5 minutes.
  11. Thanks. He's actually the first guy that I;ve drafted that I also had in the mock offseason I believe.
  12. Pick is in. After much deliberation I grabbed a versatile lineman in Boothe who can play LG and slide in to C if needed. He's an excellent run blocker and is solid if unspectacular in pass protection. He looks like a good fit for an offense that utilizes the read option.
  13. Gotta take a minute, I didn't realize Bushrod was picked already. I planned on making him my RT
  14. So it is my turn? Sorry for the delay, I thought I was on deck. I'll post my pick now.
  15. I'm up? Isn't Ravens_ up?
  16. He was the last safety that I'd feel comfortable with as my starter. I had to take him given the run at the position this round.
  17. LMAO Anyway, the pick is in. I'll PM the next man up
  18. Sounds about right to me. I have no idea why they'd sign both unless they want to play Wilson at FS and trade the disappointing Michael Griffin.
  19. It's probably somewhere in between 240 and 255. I remember I heard he lost a bit of weight to improve his 40 time (lol) but colleges do misreport H/W all the time too. His lack of speed is why I prefer him inside in a 3-4, although he did look good in position drills from what I remember so he could probably play 4-3 too.
  20. Wilson was quietly one of the best SS in the NFL last year. I'd probably start him over Pollard.
  21. He dropped a lot of weight pre-draft. His natural playing weight is more around 255, which will help him sift through traffic better.
  22. I know he got manhandled by Bama's OL but I still think he can be alright there. He's a very big player for a LB and very strong. He also has great instincts. My questions come from a lack of speed and lateral agility. To me he has all of the makings of a very good LB who contributes on 2 downs, but will struggle if asked to do more. He can probably play both 4-3 and 3-4, but I prefer him a 3-4 because he doesn't have to go sideline to sideline as much as a mike backer in a 4-3 does.
  23. I was actually thinking about Te'o. I think he's a bit overrated but if you are using him in a pure thumper role in 3-4 I think he can be a great 2 down player there.
  24. Don't even speak of such things
  25. Also, I've never been a big Samuel fan, but if you are running a heavy zone scheme he is great value at this point. If you want to run press-man you will be sorry though...
