  1. Lol. It was textbook tackling.
  2. Lol there goes my prediction for surprise player of the year.
  3. I have a couple players I'll be watching. Za'Darius Smith first and foremost. He will play a big part in determining whether this defense will be elite or just average. He's my prediction for breakout player this year so he will have my attention for the most part. Second player is Tavon Young. His college gametape reminds me so much of a young healthy Lardarius Webb. And with all the praises he's getting in camp, he's another one to watch. Last one I'll be paying attention to the most is Patrick Onwuasor. I don't know why but I have a good feeling about him at LB. Ravens have lacked athleticism for so long. Plus he plays with a mean streak which is something else the Ravens have lacked for a while.
  4. How about the play of Za'Darius Smith? He was my prediction for breakout player this year and it sounds like he's on pace to prove me right. Like I said before, I predict he'll get about 8-9 Sacks this year.
  5. Lol thank you.
  6. We'll just agree to disagree I guess. We were in total rebuild mode after the 2001 season, and Grbac showed no reason as to why we should bring him back. And you're talking statistics but I'm going eye test as well as statistics. Flacco left a positive impression on me after his rookie season. Grbac not so much. But hey that's just my opinion.
  7. But Flacco as a rookie never played as poorly as Grbac did in 2001. I would take Flacco's rookie season over Grbac's 1 season with us every time. The difference was Flacco's ceiling was sooooo much higher than Grbac's ceiling at the time. Grbac never showed any potential of getting better. Flacco did. The ravens signed him thinking he was an upgrade at QB from Dilfer. They were wrong on so many levels. Are you seriously saying Grbac deserved another chance after 2001?
  8. I have to disagree with you. Grbac was a veteran who got better every year he was in the league until he came to baltimore. There was no excuse for him to regress as much as he did. Kyle Boller at least showed flashes at times when he was here. Grbac showed absolutely nothing.
  9. Elvis Grbac. Dude single handily kept us from repeating in 2001. How do you come off a 4000 yard season with KC, go to a team with a legendary defense and supposed offensive genius at headcoach and play so dreadful. People say Kyle Boller was the worst QB we ever had and I just laugh. Elvis Grbac was by far the worst to Throw for the Ravens.
  10. Mile High Miracle literally brought tears to my eyes. I'd have to go with that one.
  11. While we're at it lets sign Greg Hardy as well. Trade for Aldon Smith and our team will be set. Lol get real.
  12. Bold Predictions. 1) Willie Henry and Bronson Kaufusi gets the Brandon Williams treatment and rarely plays in their rookie season, but become beasts in their second season. 2) Lardarius Webb will be a top 5 FS this coming season. Basically he will play like Charles Woodson did last season. Has the I.Q. to do so 3) Za'Darius smith will get at least 9 sacks this season. Love what im hearing about him this offseason. Hearing his first step and anticipation of the snap count has been amazing in camp. 4) Terrell Suggs will retire after this season to pursue his movie career. Yep i just sense that Football is not the number 1 priority in his life anymore. Question is, will he be a HOFer? 5) The Ravens will be a top 5 defense in both yards and scoring. Only position on defense i'm skeptacle about is inside linebacker, but i am highly confident in the rest of the group. I believe Weddle and Webb will make all the difference in the world back there and we are deep as heck on the line. 6) Joe Flacco will have a season reminiscent of Tony Romo's 2014 season. Don't know why I feel like this is going to happen. Just a real deep gut feeling that he is going to ball out this year.
  13. I know he's only been a Raven for 2 years but Steve Smith has been my favorite player since 2005. I will never forget the playoff game he had against Chicago when he absolutely destroyed that great Chicago defense. ever since then he's been my favorite. And now that he's a Raven its a match made in heaven. So yea, Steve Smith is my alltime favorite Raven with Ray Lewis as a close second.
  14. would you be able to compare Correas to Peter Boulware in any way?
  15. Pff graded our Offseason. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-ravens-earn-a-b-offseason-grade-with-bevy-of-draft-picks/
  16. Competition is the theme for this year. Nothing is given you gotta earn your spot. Great way to keep your players hungry and motivated this year. Absolutely love how the team is handling this offseason.
  17. Reed started his career as a SS and actually won the DPOY award as a SS.
  18. To me Stanley will have the most impact. But a close second will be Willie Henry. I predict he will have a season similar to Timmy Jernigans rookie season. Henry and Kaufusi are the two I'm most excited to watch this year.
  19. Dennard Robinson type of player.
  20. Respect.
  21. This draft went from disappointing to very exciting. LOVE William Henry and Dixon.
  22. Love the Henry pick. Clearly Ozzie favors pressure coming from the middle rather than the edge. I like that thinking
  23. From what I've seen from Tavon Young, it looks like Webb should take Young under his wing the same way Reed took Webb under his wing. He Seems like a sure tackler and has nice speed. Left on a island alot and played decent. Would be better as a slot corner though.
  24. This is a pick that I am actually happy with after looking at a couple game play footage of him. He uses his hands nicely and has nice speed for his size. He could be a steal. Also hearing he was the top graded 3-4 DE against the run and second graded as a pass rusher makes me even happier. About time we drafted someone this year that I agree with.
  25. So thats where he's been all offseason.
