Am I the only one who see's us using Webb the way Arizona uses Mathieu. I agree Webby needs to take a pay cut and i think he will take one, but I see those 3 together as a scary force in the secondary. Maybe it's because I'm a huge Webb fan since 2011 but I'm praying he's still a Raven next year.

I'm sure you said the same thing about Corey Graham and Josh Wilson too before they came here. Also Chykie and Melvin never played as good as Wright played last year so let's not even compare the two. News Flash, decent corners are hard to come by at a decent price. So say we let Wright walk and get nobody to replace him. We would look even worse than we did last year. We took the safe route and the right route. I seen him play at a high level with us and until he shows me other wise I have no choice but to trust he can continue playing that way. Especially since he will get a full off-season to fully grasp the system this time. But that said, we still need a slot corner. I think Boykins would fit well here.

Lol theres absolutely no way we paid Wright that much money with plans for him to only be 3rd CB. I don't think we're talking about the same team. Wright and Smith are good enough outside corners. Were set on the outside. But slot was a problem last year.

I'm honestly not sold on Arrington or Davis due to not seeing enough of him. And I look at Arrington like this. As big of a Webb fan I am, Arrington lost his spot in the slot to a mediocre Webb last season. That not a good look for him at all. Slot is definitely a need.

That's what Smith and Wright are for. Only this we need on defense is a pass rusher first, slot corner second.

Read this from somewhere but what about targeting Boykins from Philly? He's an elite slot corner and he seems to be flying under the radar. Would he be out of our price range?

You have to look at whose been coaching him. Harbaugh and Marvin Lewis are 2 different beasts. There's a reason Steve Smith hasn't been thrown out of any regular season games since he's been here. Harbs has a way of getting through to certain types of players and keeping them in check. It's all about the environment your around. If you run a loose ship like Lewis does, the players are bound to be careless. Harbaugh doesn't play that.

I agree. There's a reason why we gave up less big plays after Wright became a starter for us. Also like I said before, with Webb at FS now communication will be light years better. Pass rush is by far our biggest need.

Webb actually played better for us in the slot than Arrington, thats really why he lost playing time. But both Webb and Arrington were horrible as outside corners.

Lol and don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should throw the bank at him either. If someone over pays him than thats on them.

I'm pretty confident Wright's wants to come back to play with Jimmy, them being best friends and all. And I saw enough from him last season to show me what he's capable of. Given the circumstances he was thrown into last year, I highly doubt he'll get play worse with a full off-season with us. If he comes back of course.

Well Cromartie was burned way more than Wright was last season. And to be honest Wright was one of the better corners in the league last year according to PFF. So imagine how much better he will be when he has a whole offseason to grasp our system. I'm willing to trust him as our second corner over Cro. We need a nickel more than anything in the secondary. Cro doesn't fill that need.

Wish I could see more tape of him though. But from what I seen, he is a future star with the right coaching. Leslie Frazier would do wonders with him.
