  1. No doubt Treadwell is a beast, but I think using a #6 overall pick on him is highly unlikely, especially since playmaking WR talent can be found later in the draft.
  2. I don't see us having the cap room for any of those guys in FA, but I'm very excited about the amount of quality free agents that will be available. And as we know, Ozzie has a tendency to find them. However, if he does make a splash for one of these high dollar guys it would definitely be exciting.
  3. I was really hoping to add Mike Nolan or Lovie Smith to our defensive staff, but we have done very well with adding these guys. They have quite a bit of experience at coaching and have had proven results in the past. Adding that type of experience will only open up more opportunities for us to be better next year.
  4. Aiken has proven his worth in what we're currently building. With added continuity, and hopefully a lot less injuries, our offense should thrive. IMO, definitely worth a tender.
  5. That's where I'm coming from. With that being said it would be nice to see either a well-known vetted veteran fill our recent vacancy at LB coach. Like a Rob Ryan or former DC or HC. Kinda like when we were able to scoop Spagnuolo. Maybe it can help offset or nullify Pees' negative traits or bring back the fluency our defense has been lacking. Either way it can't hurt.
  6. Let's hope the continuity with the coaching staff produces better results on defense and allows us to build on what we started on offense. Obviously Harbaugh sees something he likes with the direction we're headed on both sides of the ball, so I'm choosing to be positive about the decision.
  7. I've been leaning towards the side of Pees leaving before Monachino leaving even became a possibility. Under those circumstance I don't see a reality in which we can afford to let him go.
  8. It's kind of upsetting to hear people wanting Harbaugh's head for one disappointing season. I admit that I was uncertain of him when he was hired, especially since he was hired over Rex, but the dude has done more than enough to justify his position. The fact that players, both former and current, still dig this organization shows that we're doing something right. Bad horrible seasons happen from time to time, but in no way do I believe this rash of bad outcomes is here to stay. Once seasons like this become a trend come talk to me, but for now look at whatever positivity is left and look forward to next season.
  9. With the amount of bad officiating that has happened this year, I wonder if the rule book has gotten so complex to where common sense no longer prevails. Some of the technicalities of the rules for the simplest aspects of the game are ridiculous!
  10. I've always liked Bart Scott, and now I think I like him a little bit more. The story is funny, but it highlights a really good point. Players, past or present, rarely if ever say anything negative about our organization. That even goes for those who have left and new veterans that come in. I think it's that level of respect and camaraderie that helps us stay resilient, even during IR-laden seasons like this.
  11. Daryl has performed at a very high level since we scooped him and he still is. He's been a beast despite his age. It seems like maybe his game is altering with time and he just can't do certain things the way he could in the past. It happens to everyone, especially in such an active position. At this point I think using him for whatever aspects of the game he still dominates in is the right call.
  12. This dude has shown up every time he's touched the ball this year. Now it's his time to shine. The additional playing time Forsett's unfortunate injury provides should set him up for an even bigger contribution next season.
  13. This season has been one messed up thing after another. And Joe has to stay on the field with a shredded knee in order to get any props? I just hope he heals well and fast enough to be ready to go next season.
  14. Sounds like we are in unofficial tryout mode. At this point why not get a jump on next year.
  15. Too little too late. This isn't the first time this year that we've been the victims of poor officiating. It seems like this year bad calls have been more worse for us than anybody else. What do we get other than apologies from the NFL after the fact!? I think an extra draft pick should be put on the table:)
  16. Kudos for Doom for manning up, but his one play was just one of many. The team as a whole let Jacksonville stay in that game. Things like this have been happening all season so this isn't really a surprise, but it doesn't make it any easier to watch.
  17. This season is most definitely turning out to be a Greek tragedy. This is new ground for us not only as a franchise, but as fans as well. It's been difficult for me to stay positive, but I just hope that we can learn from whatever has gone wrong this season, make necessary changes, and build off of it to make us better next year. The inevitable high draft pick won't hurt either.
  18. I always thought that we were going to draft this dude before Cleveland took him (which I still think they did it just to spite us). It's nice to see him find his way back home. Hopefully things work out and we ended up with a gem.
  19. This dude is a beast! INSTANT impact once he gets on the field. I can't wait to see him in action.
  20. There has to be something up with this PCL sprain. The whole season? Really? Either this dude is just that fragile and slow healing or it's something else. You don't make it through a whole college season if that was the case. Harbs sounds seriously mad and upset, but undercover like.
  21. I wonder why they didn't interview Jacoby?
  22. At this point I don't care what's wrong with our defense, something has to give. True Wright got burned, but our entire defense got embarrassed by a so so inconsistent offense. Hard game to watch.
  23. Good win an a very good story.
  24. Can't win for losing. This is turning into some sort of Greek tragedy. Something has to go our way eventually right? At the rate these unfortunate things are happening it almost seems deliberate.
  25. Roddy White and a healthy Perriman with SSS sounds deadly!!!! Unfortunately, so deadly that it won't happen. But it was nice for about 10 min while my mind wondered.
