Cap space is the caveat. Broncos are tight on cap. So are Rams. Miami and Green Bay are the only ones with tons of Cap to throw around who need an LT I can find. Miami is the likely the one to spend foolishly. Can see GB spending more than they have to.
If he and Pitta walk we'll have the cap space. Really it's about drafting well and spending money well. ideally you want to solve all problems in the draft, but structurally nothing is as important as drafting well.
If we lose him we get a comp back. Probably a 4th. So really it's just one. As opposed to signing a FA LT, you'd lose a comp pick. Either way it's a net loss of basically a 5th in pure player terms.
I think the ravens have probably offered him a number this board would be comfortable with. But agreed, don't really want to lose our starting LT. Especially since I think he's a good fit for Kubiak's offense.
Their story checks out more than Prestons though. Kubiak was not attached to a single OC job because he was waiting for a HC job. He waited for the dust to settle. Joined the ravens. No reason to believe the ravens would contact Kyle Shanahan before Kubiak
It's possible, but I doubt it. Castillo is actually a really good coach for this offensive system. Dennison and Kubiak are ZBS based. And to be frank they are really good at it.
I'm not sure if you'll listen to reason, but to fire someone as reputable as Ozzie would lose much as the front office and tarnish the entire reputations ability to attain executive talent at any level. It's just a crazy thing to do.
