Mallet I have a piece of advice for you. In the future refrain from statements like 'My name isn't Joe' even innocently. Joe is highly regarded here in Baltimore and is a SB MVP and the primary QB of the Ravens. I know you want to make the most of your second chance, but please understand that with the Ravens you will only be a back up to Joe. And you will be promoted to QB only and only if Joe gets hurt! Don't think for a second that Joe will ever be replaced by you for poor play because that will not happen. So sometimes reconciliation of your position in the team may be how you make the best of your second chance. And with those words, I wish you the best New Year!
I don't have a problem with it. I want a backup who has the confidence that he could be a starter.
Let's not jump to conclusions. It was one game vs a atrocious defense and he scored 1TD.
He scored 1 TD, Allen scored 1 TD and he led us on 2 more scoring drives. With only 12 days to learn the offense and get familiar with his receivers, he was accurate and had no turnovers. I don't remember a Ravens backup QB having a better game, certainly not this year.
Mallett has to stick around next year. Perfect backup for Joe.
Swept the Steelers! Lmao. There's our silver lining. Now if this can kick them out of playoff contention, even better.
No flag? Even the refs have redeemed themselves.
One more stop. No penalty!
Upshaw just did something good.
He did. I'd still rather have the pick 6 than the sack though.
Good! Sack his fat butt!
It may be a losing season, but win this and we will be 2-0 against the Squealers.
Hahaha! Way to go Jimmy!
Could have at least gotten 10 yards on that PR.
We have to make them earn these points instead of handing it to them on a silver platter.
Give me Brooks.
Mallett actually looks good. Strong arm, accurate, good reads. On that drive, anyway.
Ok, another article here said Camps injury not necessarily season ending. Here this article says "he's not coming back"...which is it? I hope the former and not the latter.
To clarify, it means that he would have been able to return from the injury this season, however we placed him on IR to clear some room for Givens, so he can't return this season even when he heals up. I think the coaches are increasingly frustrated with his injuries, as they could have cleared room some other way but instead put perhaps their 2nd best receiver on IR.
Wish I shared Flacco's optimism. Sure we got into field goal range with Sr. and Camp out, but it was tough sledding. Aiken, Brown and Waller are all guys who would be 3rd on other teams' depth charts at best. Sr. was balling out, but he can't carry a passing offense all by himself. And now that he's out for who knows how long I don't think our weapons scare any defense in the league. Our only hope is that the rushing offense in Pitt wasn't a mirage and it regains last year's form.
Justin freakin' Tucker!!!!!!!!!
The game is in Tucker's feet.
Why isn't a first? Gotta get my eyes checked.
Phew. Can we get a receiver to step the heck up now?
Well unless anyone honestly expects Scobee to screw up again, this game is over.
Ughhhh. Why?
Just gotta get into FG range.
Ha! That's right. Huge play D.
