  1. All the hate on Burfict. But damn I wish we would've snagged him in the late rounds. He's one of the best LBers in the league, if you keep his attitude but just a tad more controlled he'd be the best in the league. Back than we still had Ray and Ed. Good mentors that could've controlled that and focused it. Continued with Sizzle the comedian. Think he's been short changed in Cincinnati.
  2. All year long we haven't attacked the end zone. No back shoulders, no using you're 6'6 basketball player in jump balls.
  3. Non existent. Zuttah has been pushed back into Flaccos lap every single snap.
  4. Very true. But I kinda wonder how much that is playing into the coaching. Maybe a just don't screw up and once we get across midfield 3 points is automatic? Given the playcalling and urgency it doesn't seem like they care once they cross tucks line.
  5. Jesus. I give up. 52,54 and 57. And all would've been good from 60+. Anyone who disputed his contract, go turn in your man card.
  6. Last I saw, before last weeks game Weddle was ranked 2nd in the league. Webb, near the bottom. Per PFF
  7. The waterboy could do better
  8. Well I gotta follow you guys. You waste money on the Sunday ticket but damn if the game is shown locally it's blocked on there. So no Sunday night games, Monday or Thursday. Pissed
  9. Denver has been living and dying on their D. 27th in passing and 23rd in run on offense. And their run D is highly suspect. I'm betting they'll start losing a lot of games when the cold sets in. The same goes for the Chiefs. The Chiefs have a better chance of seeing 10-6 than the Broncos. You also have to factor in Houston, given the current playoff picture. They have 3 home and 3 away. They're home games are this week SD, than Jax and Bengals. Away games are GB, Indy and Tenn. and none of those teams are playing well at all. They have a far easier schedule than any other potential WC team. But odds are they win their division and it's a moot point.
  10. They activated Boyle and he's practiced the past week and change. I'd rather see him get the majority of snaps. Use Pitta as a 3rd down decoy.
  11. He's really starting to become a problem.
  12. I'm in the camp of let Marty continue. Let him have a say in players this offseason am deathly implement what he wants to do. We change OCs like underwear. He's not going to get a HC gig, doubt he even wants one. Time to just get some continuity on that side of the ball.
  13. Take a look. It didn't. During his time the only big name guy they brought in on offense was Moss. However they continued to invest in D adding Revis along with secondary help. Sound familiar? Also if you Google the complaints out of Boston from his later years there it's the same thing, second half collapses in the secondary because the pass rush wasn't existent and was being nullified. Hence they went and spent heavily on the secondary his second to last year there, which carried over to his last. And it was still the same thing. As for the "weak" areas across the D. FS, Webb just doesn't have the legs anymore. Thin at "effective" corner. We lost a few that we had hopes on. Wright was never supposed to be a starter, and he's shown why he's never been. And a pass rush that can't beat their one on ones. ZSmith was touted as the next McPhee and a situational pass rusher. Now he's being called a Upshaw and just setting the edge. Who knows what happened to Urban, and Judson seems to have the tools but doesn't put it together consistently, and Correa has done jack squat.
  14. We def need these next 2. Both at home, against now marginal opponents. These are the games you're supposed to win. TBH I can honestly see us having a higher percentage of winning against NE than in Pitt. During this era of coaches and players we're even in Foxboro, and every single game has been close, to include the playoffs. We've faired far better against them than any other team in the league outside their division.
  15. Just a guess, but I'm betting one of the 2 BWill or Wagner stays. Not sure which but I doubt it's both, just a guess based off how we retain players. I also think we'll look for a Center, didn't we make a play for Mack a couple years ago and just got outbid? We've been looking so if someone grades out but doesn't break the bank I bet they're here. FS were def going to need. I'm not sure where Webb grades out but I bet it's pretty low. We kicked Stewart to the curb because he sucked, and now is doing great in Denver(go figure) due to money and lack of production, I think them playing with Webb is over. There's crap for the market, unless as a couple people ,mentioned earlier, we get a SS and move Weddle to FS. Prob a 90% chance of this. This will prob be the main acquisition. WR, I can see a Garçon coming here. He's obviously gonna hit the market, and I doubt will be that expensive. WR wise anyway for expensive. Lol. All that prob means BWill gets his payday elsewhere. The more I think about it the more it makes sense. Use that money to make sure you get Wagner done and add a Center, solidifying you're OL for the next 2-3 years without having to touch a thing. Add a SS and pick up Garçon to take Sr snaps when he retires. Draft another WR and CB in the top rounds and use the middle rounds to keep building depth along both lines. Now of course most of that will be wasted if we keep Pees and Castillo. But that's besides the point.
  16. I'm torn with the BWill problem. Which is really an entire D problem. I've long wanted Pees gone, but do you bring in a 3-4 base guy, or a 4-3 base guy. Considering a large number of snaps are in the nickel it kinda makes sense to run a 4-3 base and we certainly have the horses for it. Next up is Wagner. It's pretty obvious we need to replace Zuttah in the offseason. As many complaints as Birk got in his later years he was still better. CAN we keep Wagner so we're only disrupting one part of the line? Is that wise? Looking forward, as long as Stanley plays up to par he's gonna get a good contract. Typically teams have 2-3 guys they pay really well and the other 2 are on cheap deals, and over the years things flex a bit. Yanda only has a couple years left. So do you go ahead and move Lewis, letting Wagner walk and try and fill the whole middle of the left side with FA or rookies? Maybe Urschel can take over at C and you only need to fill LG. It you better get a better OL coach Than you have FS. Webb costs way too much for the production bite the bullet. He'll never be worth his price tag, even taking a pay cut. And there's not much in FA. Top name, Berry and no way does KC let him go This is one where it's gotta be the draft, and gotta be high so they can start right off when they have Weddle to learn from.
  17. Sr was and is one of the best receivers in the game, BIG difference in a TE that honestly has only had "abi e average" years in less than 1/4 of his playing time, and the rest at mediocre. Watson is gone.
  18. Man I right there with you. Pees is exceptionally bad at adjusting. Why he was booted from NE. Some people, who don't know jack about football guess it was a lateral move. Lol. There's been so many facts presented, both on here and rsr, especially from articles and fan posts up there, that the handful of homers still backing him really only embarrass themselves. He is very knowledgeable and can create a really really good game plan. But as soon as that goes downhill, he's done. Sooner or later a offense will figure it out. And once they do, that's it. People wonder why Brady and Co would put up 50 points in the first half. They had to.
  19. I'm not sure if it's Joe or his calls. For a long time with Cam everyone assumed it was Cam not letting Joe "check out" of a play. But he has been allowed. I dunno if it's they just don't practice hot reads and changing plays to take advantage or Joe just isn't quick enough to get it out.
  20. It's really easy. Win 4 of 6, one of which being the Steelers on Xmas. Win 4 while not wining that game and we need help. But really if we can't beat the Bengals this week without Gio and AJ than the season is a wrap.
  21. Honestly I think Joe is playing scared. He's lost his confidence. Up until this year his knock was overthrowing receivers or just throwing high. This year I've seen more of his go into the dirt at their feet than ever before. He needs to get his head straight, but a bunch of weeks with a patchwork line and giving up a league high in sacks certainly isn't gonna do it. Betting the only person he has faith in not to get him killed is Yanda.
  22. No AJ and I feel a lot better about this game. The Bengals are in that downswing. They had their time, than the cap and other factors caught up to them. Their D isn't what it was given the losses they've taken in FA the past 2 years and their offense lost a couple keys also.
  23. Ok so I've watched the game again, for the 3rd time. People calling it a "prevent D", it's not. However just like in the Pitt game Pees went into a version of a 2deep zone nickel. That pulls your LBs back and CBS now have sideline and deep responsibility. This leaves a lot of the underneath stuff wide open, along with giving Zeke room to run if he bounces it outside, which he did. A lot of people are defending Pees and that's fine. I'll even say the guy is really really good at gameplanning. Look at your typical 1st half defense since he's been here. Not many complaints. The problem is he's not very good at adjusting. The Cowboys, like Pitt saw what he was doing and adjusted around it. He changed to his usual, and they already planned for it. He tried throwing in some of years same things that worked in the 1st quarter, except they've already seen that, and hence it didn't work in the 3rd. This is why he was run out of NE. Do a google search for articles from Boston back when he was there. You'll see it's the same exact thing we've been saying here for years. As as far as people saying the offense only had 3 possessions in the second half so give them a break. Um, the Cowboys only had 3 possessions also. They went TD TD FG. We went Punt TD bye bye. My biggest problem is where was Perriman? Everyone boohooing about Jimmy being out, well they have their starting corner AND ss out and the 20th ranked secondary. Pitt got behind them and abused them. We had Wallace a few times and that's it. Most of SR stuff was short. You'd expect bombs away and let your big fast guys beat their pathetic secondary. Perriman and Waller were non existent. Why?
  24. Gotta be kidding me. Holding when Koch goes down? No flag for that. Pathetic.
