  1. Well this thread got off track quick. No wonder the boards are closing. How does discussion of the season turn into Ozzie won't have a job if we miss the playoffs?
  2. All in all it's a pretty favorable schedule. Tennessee will prob be pretty good, and we get to play them after a mini bye with playing the Thurs game the week before. Which is at home, and against Miami, and Thurs night games the home team has somewhere in the nature of a 85% win rate last I checked. Than a Bye before goi g to GB. So that's 2 games that could've been trouble but we're on the favorable side. After going to London, and honestly that's a coin flip but we "should" win, we at least get Pitt at home. Than you can chalk up a loss in Oakland. Than we close out with 2 home games, instead of having to go into Cinnci with e division possibly on the line. Depending on the draft, along with who we might pick up afterwords we should be able to go 9-7 at worst and maybe 11-5 at best. Just my humble opinion.
  3. Oh I dunno, maybe go out and get a top 5 ranked S to replace the 17th ranked. Maybe pick up the 11th ranked corner to replace the outgoing 35th ranked, replacing the OL coach that was ranked near the bottom with a coach that was in the top 5? Etc....
  4. I don't see that at all. What were our major problems last year? Passing D and OL. We upgraded FS by moving Weddle, we added another top 5 safety. We upgraded the horrible Wright for Carr. If they're smart they'll draft Humphrey in the 1st and you than have the best secondary in the NFL with 4 legit starters at CB and 2 top 5 safeties. Yeah we lost Doom, who didn't do squat last year. As for the OL we finally abort the disaster of a coach and replace him with prob the best in the business right now, and addition by subtraction at C. We either have to plug a hole at LG or RT, both positions he draft has starters that will be available in Rd 2 of the draft. And we still have depth, granted not great in Hurst and Ducasse but with a better coach.....maybe good enough, not to mention guys on the PS or later round guys. Love Juice, but Woodhead is a upgrade. And we still have a overload at RB and TE. Honestly my only concern is WR as I don't trust BP to suddenly become a starter. And there's not much there behind Wallace and BP, sorry Camp fans but he's made of Glass. Maybe Reynolds or Moore can step up, or maybe we go back to ball control and using our plethora of TEs to work the middle and move the chains and beat teams up like we used to.
  5. I'm hoping a guy like Dawkins slides to us in the 2nd, may have to move up to get him but he's a protypical LG. One thing is for certain, were gonna draft a OL maybe even 2 in the first 4 rounds.
  6. I think Lewis was drafted to take over RT. Every single draft expert said that's where he's best. This OL class is pretty weak, but maybe using a 2nd to get the best C coming out? Dunno. They have a plan, and it seems like it's pound the football and have a dominant D and therefore control the clock.
  7. Cooks to the Pats. So scratch that idea.
  8. Sorry bro. Now I feel bad for being the first to respond. Lol. Believe me, I live in KC now and the o oh place I can talk Ravens is on the boards. This is Chiefs country. And no matter how much you point and laugh and engage in actual football discussion on how their team is garbage, they don't want to discuss anyone else, nor have the slightest clue about football or the NFL or anything outside of Oh Eric Berry. Blah blah. And you can say, well you're bum QB was ranked dead last of starting QBs in the league last year and it goes right over there head. It's honestly depressing.
  9. Yeah he's over here too I believe. Arnie UK. Lol. I'd go back, but I got banned. Lol. They don't really do censoring and warnings. Just if one of the regulars gets their panties in a bunch you get the boot. I was Justaslowz06. Think I'm kinda a legend on that board. Lol. And I had a rating higher than some mods with likes, and still got the boot all because of one adult beverage rant in a game day thread when we were sucking. Lol. Sigh. It's a good site, for those looking for a home. BUT don't get too passionate or the regulars will show you the door.
  10. No the entire board is going away. If you scroll through a little bit you'll see the link to scout, and with a new forum that Bold started up. Or there's RSR. I was originally disappointed, but as I posted above, I can kinda see the reasoning. Sad, but blame those like Rosie ODonnel. This is the world we live in. Lol
  11. Well we apparently made the news over there. Some are pretty noteworthy. A: Former original Admins here that left because the rules were a bit too "structured", kinda falls in line with a mod saying "Bollocks" will soon be on the banned list. Lol. And someone else brought up a pretty good point that I didn't think of. If you get warnings here will you take it out on not buying merchandise and such because it's the "Ravens" censoring your post? Something I didn't think of. The Bills also just closed down their "official" page. Given the amount of snowflakes nowadays, I guess it starts making sense.
  12. I believe they think they're close. You know Webb is a liability, regardless what fans like, so you go get the #5 ranked safety and 1 in the box to play SS and move Weddle to FS. Instant upgrade. You keep your run stuffing NT and work on his stamina so he doesn't fade over the last quarter of the season. You know you're losing your FB whom you never really used as a lead blocker but more of a flat catcher and replaced him with someone better at that. Theres still work to do, mainly we need another top notch corner as you can't trust Jimmy, and you need a mediocre MLB, A upgrade at C(maybe a short term rental like Mangold to coach up a possible 3rd pick) and you need a LG, assuming Lewis slides to RT, or you need a RT. Either or. Luckily this draft is very deep at DB and S and pass rushers. Personally I wouldn't even bother with pass rusher. We've drafted a bunch over the past 2 years that have been overly hyped. Someone has GOT to step up. Draft the best DB on the board at 16, in the 2nd and 3rd, no projects take BPA regardless of position. The moves they've made aren't rebuilding moves. They're let's upgrade a couple places and make a run moves.
  13. Sorry. Maybe Mod 2? Whomever wrote out the explanation that really didn't explain much. Lol. No offense intended.
  14. I still find it funny when the mod said "We, as in the Ravens front office". Somehow I seriously doubt the Biscuit and Oz and Harbaugh and Co are paying attention to if the message board stays open or not at this time of year. I'm guessing it's prob some pencil pusher that prob isn't even a fan that works in some IT office with a pocket protector and is in charge of line item reviews and scratched this one out so he/she can get a better quarter bonus. Sorry just the thought that popped in my head when nothing else makes sense.
  15. The Baltimore Sun message board changed to a pay only and it killed it. That's when Filmstudy, Brian the cap guru and others all moved to RSR. It's a more active board than even here and is backed by RoFo and D&L window tinting anda few other sponsors for funds.
