De La Puente had two Pro Bowl guard next to him in Grubbs and Evans. Carl Nicks and Davin Joseph combined to play just 9 games last season, both suffered season-ending injuries last year. Jeremy Zuttah will be an upgrade at the Center position and could move to left guard depending on injuries. The Bucs got Evan Dietrich-Smith in free agency and his salary cap figure would be cheaper than Zuttah the next two seasons.

I can just see him now telling Ike Taylor and Troy to "Ice up Son". He is the right WR for the AFC North.

Steve Smith gave Panthers list of 5 teams as trade partners--Dallas, NE, Baltimore, San Diego, Tampa Bay, per source. I think our real comp will be NE and Tampa. If he goes to NE we might get Edelman unless the Browns overpay. If we can't resign D. Smith I really like Brandon Spikes (for cheap) since he would help us stop the run and A. Brown will take care of the passing downs IMO.

I think Steve Smith would be the better slot option. Maybe he plays two more years and help develop our young WR's (Brown, Mellete and our 2014 draft pick). Edelman wants a long term deal and we should not give him one. We need to resign Torrey, Jacoby got a 4yr deal and Brown and Mellete have 3 years left. Also the new draft pick will have a 4yr deal, so signing Steve Smith for 2yrs would be ideal.

Look for Dennison to possibly for the RB coach position. When Kubiak left the Broncos for the Texans in 2006, he tried to bring Dennison with him to oversee the running game, but then-coach Mike Shanahan refused. He then become the offensive coordinator from 2006 - 2008 with the Broncos.
