  1. The Patriots have revealed a very simple formula imo to help the Eagles, Steelers and Bengals to destroy the Ravens and ruin their playoff hopes:

Ravens offensive explosion against the Dolphins was an aberration.  Disregard what you saw there.

    Stop the run.

Eliminate Pitta from their game plan all together.

Only rush 3 and drop 8 defenders back in various coverages.

Joe is "Mr. Checkdown!"  Expect the dink and donk garbage and that he'll only throw 4 yards when 8 yards are needed for a 1st down.

Bring the house on 3rd downs because the O-line can't pick up the blitz and Joe is easily shell-shocked.

Defense comes out fast and furious but wears down by the middle of the 2nd quarter.  No pass rush after that.

Ravens put LB's on RB's out wide so look to exploit that when possible.

Ravens CB's are mediocre and give at least 10 yards cushion.  Slant'em up for big gains!!

Establish your run game to get the safeties to "bite" on the PA for an easy deep throw over the top for a TD

Kick the ball anywhere near Hester and he won't catch it.  He'll just watch it hit the ground and roll in your favor.

Don't worry about the Ravens "sense of urgency" either because they don't have one.

well-said!! Sad, but I agree wholeheartedly!

  2. What an addition Weddle turned out to be especially in his 1st year!! I thought he would probably get adjusted after a year, but I am glad I was wrong! I have always liked him and now I love him. Thanks SSS for talking him into joining us! We needed a Safety like him so bad. Let's get this W in MA and hope the Bills handle Pitt so we can have a lil bit of wiggle room! Cheers!

  3. The Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC now.  With everyone finally healthy, including Joe getting physically and mentally his confidence back after major Knee surgery just one year ago, the offensive players all getting on the same page with the  new schemes that new OC Marty has put in, and not but least the defense dominating on all fronts.  No team in the AFC is better.  This will be the last game we are the underdogs the rest of the season.  The only reason the Ravens won't dominate this game on both sides of the ball and win handily are the intangibles.  The refs bad calls that come at the most inopportune time that go the Pats way and the strange occurrences that seem to always happen to the visiting teams at Gillette stadium, for instance, head sets not working or play or time clock irregularities or warm soft footballs for Brady to throw.

Get used to it Raven fans, after Monday night we won't be the underdogs again this year on our way to the Lombardi Trophy.  Ravens 34 Patriots 20

We are not a consistent team so if we go to MA and beat the Pats, then I will agree with you.

  4. The one thing that concerns me is if the weather is not good and we have to rely on the run. Do we have enough power to win that way? I'm not sure where the Pats stand against the run. Anyone help me?

As long as we feed Dixon, I am sure he can do damage. West has been doing his thing and we still don't feed him :-(

I always remember that during the draft that year, l wanted Ozzie to draft Ajayi due to him still on the board in the later rounds. Ozzie miss a big time player there. Ajayi could've been a beast with us but l'm happy with West.

West is an awesome back. Dixon shows he can be. But ya, Ajayi is crazy good.

I don't know about "Crazy Good". Zeke is crazy good tho

I'm still waiting for Marty to realize he needs to put an all speed look out there a few plays. With Wallace, Perriman, Moore and Waller, someone is bound to get single coverage. Make the catch and it's off to the races.

I know right, me too. I'm so sick of Juice going out in the flat to catch balls for 3 yards 9 out 10 times the play is run. Or the check down to Pitta for 4 yards down field. Such a waste of speed!

You ain't never told no lie!

  7. This is really his rook season, and some of the catches he made were insane, and having been a supporter of him, i'm glad he is making plays, and i think he will be so much better next year....What will make him a great player is he stays humble, and focuses more on the drops, than the spectacular catches....Next year after SSS retires he will get more reps, and being worked into the line-up like he has this year will pay off....JMO.....

Hey now, who said Agent 89 is retiring? :-(

  8. The Cowboys got away with a few penalties which is nothing new. What I don't understand is the second half coverage. In the first half we were able to pressure the QB, but in the 2nd half Dak was dumping the ball to Witten, Elliot and Beasley with ease and they were gaining yards and first downs like a college game. Who's to blame there? Def not the QB. Our Defensive SCHEMES are still vanilla and that always haunts us. We do NOT have a swagger. We do for only 2 quarters.
