i like tray walkers size. he could be someone that surprises as he becomes comfortable with the system
i saw the udfa list on sb nation and like that we picked up wr deandre carter from sacramento st.. he is 5'8" but put up big #'s and i see him as a guy to compete for the return job
welcome to the family. hope you live up to your 1st rd. status.
as long as the game does not start at 9am. stupid game time imo
Ozzie is solidifying a championship defense for years to come. I love it. Did you guys see what the Bronco's "best ever" offense did against the Seahawks number 1 defense? They got lit up like a christmas tree. Totally manhandled. That's what ozzie is getting here. And Do you guys realize how young AND talented we are on defense right now? Our middle is stacked. Not to mention Webb and Smith on the outside is lockdown potential. Only concern i see is how much Elam can step up and can whoever opposite of him fill the gap effectiviely. We'll see. Offense will surely be better then last year, not great though, i think we passed that oppurtunity to really make this offense dangerous by drafting almost all defense, but surely better.
one of the few fans on here that understands and gets it. defense defense defense!!
Once again Ozzie goes defense. I'm beginning to think the man just can't help it. If ever there was a draft where he could have helped our 29th ranked offense it was this one. And today doesn't really matter. The help that was available is gone. The rest of the draft and UDFA's are luck, pure and simple. While watching the third round, after the run on RBs, I told my son, "Oz is gonna pick Terrence Brooks, not Terrence West or Andre Williams, just watch". We all saw. And then, to not take Williams at the end of the third? Is the TE he chose So much better than Furstenburg that we resigned ourselves to not filling our running back need? Time will tell, and I sure hope so. I'm not saying we didn't get good players, not at all, but if Ozzie thinks he has done enough to fix our offense from the mess we saw last year, I think he's going to be Very unpleasantly surprised. Just as unpleasantly surprised as he was not unhappily concentrating on the wrong side of the ball the last two nights. I hold out more hope that maybe, just maybe, some veteran free agents can be had to try to help the offense that Ozzie chose to ignore. And I'm not buying that BPA stuff either. Like I've asked, if the BPA in round 1, or even rd 2, had been a QB, do you think Ozzie would have "stayed true to our board"? I don't. Not for one second. I'm not saying you should totally disregard BPA, but there is, also, a place for some consideration of your team's most pressing needs if you want them to get filled and improve. I'm just concerned about our offense. Despite the moves in free agency already made, I still think it is in much more need than our defense. It wasn't at all fun to watch last year, and I just very much hope we're not going to have to suffer through another year like that. Bottom line, the offense needed more help than the defense but, yet again, it was the defense that Ozzie addressed. Sound familiar?
the 2000 ravens and 2013 seahawks won with dominating defenses and we needed an infusion with suggs ngata dummervil and canty being in there 30's and not dominant like they once were. i understand the anger with not drafting offensive players early but we have the guys to be succesful especially with kubiak running the offense now plus we will pick up veterans in the summer to fill holes
Yet another year of stacking the offense with retreads and 30 yr olds. Another year of inconsistent offense, saying the defense could be better if the offense could sustain drives, seeing Joe asking why Joe can't throw for 4,000 yards. You invest $120M on the QB but pass on guys that could have helped. Passed on Jace Amaro, Proyor, Clinton-Dix, Latimer for an undersized DT which injury concerns? Even if drafting offense at #48 would be a little bit of reach, it is an investment at position of need and supporting your $120M investment. Local media and loyalist will somehow justify it. I will be interest to see the draft grade national media give Ravens. I hope am worng, but it looks like a blown opportunity to add to the offense in the deepest draft in years.
i dont see how pryor or dix would help flacco on offense
i see us signing eric winston
qb, o-line, rb, wr today and i cannot wait to see which ufa's we invite to camp
glad to see we are rebuilding the defense. we will sign some vet o-linemen to get us by as clubs cut them in training camp.
i like bitonio but that would mean moving osemele to rt
wonder if we trade up to grab morgan moses today
too bad we did not win the coin flip. thanks for nothing dallas but i like the moseley pick. young lb crew
this is good for gino and jensen. it buys them time to improve their mindset and get there bodies where they need to be to play center in the nfl. as far as zuttah being the 22nd and 24th ranked center the past 2 years has more to do with the overall play of that whole line in tampa which wasnt that great just like ours. he has not given up a sack in 2 years and that is music to mine and flaccos ears. having yanda osemele and monroe next to him will move his ranking up even higher.
a 5th rnd pick in 2015.
with this move it sure looks like we are going defense (ha ha clinton dix) or a d-lineman in the 1st rd. imo. a lot of right tackles and guards will be available in the 2nd or 3rd round if we still have the need for one before the draft depending on if osemele moves to rt or wagner/jensen/reid/mims can get it done. i do not see us drafting a receiver in the 1st 2 rounds. welcome to the ravens family zuttah
i am in agreement that we need to bring in competition for gino either through free agency or the draft but like birk said "gino is the right guy for the job". i am hopeful that he is right. birk did not start till his 3rd year i believe and all players have their learning curve. we shall see!!
Why the need for another DT? We have holes at the moment with no names to fill them. We just drafted Brandon Willams, let the man have a shot
could it be because we lost arthur jones and the return of terrence cody is possibly unlikely plus brandon williams is untested over a 16 game season. hope we get this guy and im sure we draft one as well
signing daryl and steve buys brown bynes brown mellette and other young guys we will draft or sign time to learn from 2 solid vets before they retire. hope the young guys take advantage and soak up all the info they can
hopefully we can resign oher and/or a veteran free safety
man o'man. going to be an interesting and hopefully successful season. lets focus on some solid o-line and d-line depth and a cb.
i think chykie brown and asa are ready to step up but i know we will sign a vet cb as a precautionary measure
i find it amusing that we have press conferences for our own guys that we resigned
im sure daryl smith or oher is next

i see pitta being put on the pup list unless he either decides to retire or he reinjures it in camp and retires than. if he can play than he makes the team better but i agree with drafting 2 te's to be safe
