would be nice to see flacco take a minimal pay cut which would help resign some guys or bring in a free agent or 2 but he now has 4 kids so i doubt it is even a thought in his mind
cut the whole team including the front office and coaching staff

I understand your point however who can you expect to strengthen this Defensive backfield? Smith, Weddle Webb? Only Young is on the up hill climb.
Also if Zuttah leaves, the Ravens will almost be forced to take a top Center.
I could see the Ravens going Pass Rush round 2 or 3 but if the player is not there they will wait and grab one in the late rounds.
chicken or the egg? but also its a depth issue, the Ravens are deep at LB and DT.
the problem is pees is not good at utilizing the talent he has and is not creative whatsoever
Free Agency and 15 picks before us will dictate who we take but we could have won more games and made the playoffs with just a few Defensive stops in the 4th quarter a lot of that was coaching but we had guys that couldn't tackle wouldn't tackle didn't know who to cover and when they did didn't cover we need help on the Defense more but if you can get the best RB or WR in the draft at 16 you have to think about it I on the other hand would go Pass rusher 1st RD cb 2nd rd
still wondering why pees is still here
the more qb's picked before us the better value we end up with plus it makes our pick that much more attractive to teams drafting behind us. i hope we do not trade back but if the trade offer is too sweet to pass up on than we all know ozzie will take it. im just tired of hoarding picks we end up losing in 4 years

So your point is you would rather give up first downs, control of the ball and possibly multiple scores.
No one is arguing getting a CB, It can be done but lets stay in contention.
Williams shut down run games, he has the capability of playing some pass however its not his best suit. The Ravens have no veteran DL if Williams goes. I believe he is an anchor of the team. He is a leader on and off the field.
I would give up Zuttah and Dumervil for Williams any day of the week.
I would risk a Rookie Center or developing a replacement, than a weakened DL. The LB crew will be fine without Doom.
As far as a WR, the Ravens can afford one with the loss of SSr.
I argue that the Ravens have the space to keep Williams. If you are saying you don't want him, that is just something that we disagree on.
i want to add that having a guy like williams makes it possible for orr and mosley to make tackles at the line of scrimmage because they go unblocked due to williams solid play that demands double teams
I'd like Matt Elam back on the veteran minimum. Also be nice if we could retain juice. Brandon Williams would be nice to keep over Wagner, I'd just hate to break the bank for him.
Are you serious? Are you Elam's mother? I think you're the only one in DMV who wants Elam back. Next, you'll say you want Terrance Brooks back too- failed draft picks...
elam will go to the patriots and take it to the next level.
very risky to head into next season without a proven d-lineman. pierce showed us a small sample and jernigan ran out of gas but i also understand that we cannot break the bank for him or wagner
Juszczyk has been terribly underutilized. Guy does everything and could have been put into the TE rotation as well. He will go somewhere else and be a playmaker and we will sit and wonder why we don't have playmakers.
patriots will win it all again next season with juice and aiken
ducasse, juice, mallett, wagner, williams, jensen, west, onwuasor get to work front office although i believe they can only retain one between wagner and williams. williams is more important imo
we have enough speedsters at receiver. need to find the chain mover. hope breshad becomes the all around stud
i see greg and marty butting heads. hope they can get along and come up with an offense that works
Perriman will have his best year, there is no reason not to expect it.
Another reason why the Ravens do not need to go looking for a #1.
Its do or die for Brashard, this is a reason that I think that Victor Cruz would be a good fit. Cruz is on the downhill end of his career and he is a different type of receiver than Perriman and Wallace. Great in the slot, good hands, quick cuts and can work the field.
If the Ravens can get Cruz for around 4-5mil and that is a nice price to fit in with Wallace, Perriman, Moore, Campinaro, + a couple of young prospects.
i agree that perriman will improve on last season but not a fan of bringing in cruz. i like garcon but he will have many interested which will drive his price up. a better receivers coach would help and hopefully chris moore can contribute as well. kenny britt interests me and would like to see ozzie sign josh gordon to a futures contract just in case he decides to grow up and take his special talent seriously.
roman was hired so harbs has someone with coord. exp to replace marty if the offense is stale. pees should have been replaced. he always goes into prevent defense when he has a lead and stops doing what was working the whole game. if he were atlantas def coord he would have blown that lead as well. almost blew it in 2012. hopefully harbs is in his ear whenever we have a lead from now on. all of their jobs depend on it
to pay wagner 8-10 per year will be tough on us fixing other issues. b. williams going rate will be bad enough. we will only sign 1 of them imo.
wallace at $8 million forget about it. he will need to accept less
he frees up the lb's to make tackles but how much will it cost us without killing the cap to fix other issues. we will know soon enough

true but we all know about ozzies "right player right price philosophy"
d'qwell would be a solid addition imo if the price works and mr. injury prone crockett should worry about making the team.
would be great to see us sign d'qwell jackson who was just released by the colts
Get ready to trade down about 3 times.
most likely and all the players drafted with the picks the fo hoards will be gone in 4 years. mediocrity must end.
if perriman, maxx williams and correia do not pan out than bisciotti really needs to think about giving decosta the lead and give ozzie another role in the organization. ozzie has been a strong gm for a long long time but the drafts since 2009 have been weak. that is 8 years. everyone makes bad picks but 8 years aside from a couple of solid picks has really hurt the roster especially when you cannot retain players on the rise because of poor cap management. jmo

Those cap dollars are best spent retaining the players you already have that are set to hit FA. Also they need to let the young WRs prove themselves and that doesn't happen when they get limited snaps. If they do not put much stock in this idea it would be mostly their own issue from failure to draft and develop the WR position. Mike Wallace is a solid vet player and had a great season, even thought he slowed a bit towards the end. Too many WR's and not enough balls for everyone, even with the ridiculous amount of attempts from Flacco this past season.
WR's should be Wallace, Perriman, Moore primarily and force feed them the ball. They have plenty of TE's and do not need so many WR's as in the past, when the ball cannot be spread around enough to get good value. Keep a few bodies for injuries, etc but that is it.
Should see a lot of 2 WR, 2 TE, 1RB sets or slight variations (2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FB, 1 RB). Baltimore is not the team to play spread offense regularly, maybe a few plays or series here and there based on situational. This would also help out the run game with the extra blockers and provide options with extra eligible receivers.(TE/FB). It might be a fairly simple formation, but it provides a lot of ability and flexibility to fool opponents with little wrinkles and misdirection. The problem with this is you don't have a reliable, possession receiver in that group that can get crucial conversions and 3rd downs when you need them. Most of those 3 guys provide the same skill sets as each other.
Need somebody who can work the middle of the field and be a go to player in crucial spots. I don't see any of those guys fitting that mold.
I think the FO made it clear that they are going to actively target that type of player.
maxx willams could be that guy especially if they work out of 2 te sets with pitta but i agree they should find a sure handed receiver because perrimans health will always be a ? imo. i like garcon but he will have several teams interested in his services.

i would just like to see us pkg the 6th and 7th rd picks along with an extra 4th or 5th when we have them to move up even if it is only a few spots. our 6th and 7th rd picks never make the team unless it is a punter. looks like we will get a 3rd for osemele so that gives us 2-3rd rd picks which should allow us to part ways with a 4th if it means getting the players we really covet. we need alpha males on both sides so lets go get them and stop hoarding draft picks that we cut in camp.

maxx needs to grab the bull by the horns and be the next todd heap minus the nagging injuries. i have no problem with pitta but hopefully he accepts a paycut.
