never take that risk. take the points. defense should have held. we need a cb, center, pass rusher and receiver that can dominate. some upgrades in coaching staff as well.

It's been going on for years. I'm quick to blame Dean Pees, who I think is as awful a coach as there is in the NFL, but this lack of killer instinct may originate higher up.
We won the Super Bowl, barely, on the backs of Joe Flacco and Anquan Boldin and the emotion of Ray Lewis' last season. Since then, we've probably blown more leads and given up more points in the last two minutes of a half than any team in football. That's not individual players, that's a mentality. That's a culture.
Yes, we need a pass rush. And shut-down corners who can stay healthy. I'm all about #BringBackRex. Rushing 3 or 4 against 5 or 6, giving pro quarterbacks all day to survey the field and playing linebackers in space is a recipe for quick opposing scoring drives and teams prove it over and over again in this league, yet there are some coaches (Dean Pees) who simply know no other way to game plan.
It has to end.
So Ozzie should look at his scouts and head coach, and Harbaugh should look at his coordinators, but if we're not going to put up 35 points a game, then we need to learn how to keep up the pressure when we have a lead, and we'll never get there under the current culture.
"Play Like A Raven" has come to mean "fold when it counts."I just said the same thing to my uncle. The mentality of this team is not the same. There is a lack of determination, and a lack of wanting to put fear in opposing offenses. Ozzie needs to get Rex Ryan back in here. I don't know if that will solve the problem but it damn sure will help if we bring in a coach that knows exactly how this defense is supposed to carry themselves.
or gus bradley, todd bowles if he gets canned. pees is a descent dc but he is not creative when it comes to blitzes and the defense doesnt seem to play with a nasty swagger under him. they struggled against the better teams
the front office is as much to blame as harbaugh. harbaugh will be here next season but his butt will be on the hot seat.
next season will be critical for harbs. if he misses the playoffs again he could be fired. he really needs to evaluate his coaching staff and make changes. some good coaches have been fired thus far that could be upgrades to the staff. front office needs to draft better and handle contracts better so we can retain our younger players that produce. go ravens!!
exciting game and hats off to the steelers for not quitting. hopefully the message is loud and clear to the front office that we need a cb badly.
hope the front office strategically tries to trade brittle jimmy. he is always hurt.
good coaches just got fired. harbs is safe for this season but he needs to upgrade the staff.
hope mallett gets the nod next week for trade reasons
Steelers....big deal, we should beat these bums by 3 TDs. We should dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.....as we have every game for the last 3 years. Pees needs to dial up something special for Big Ben and make him eat dirt every time he drops back. just like the playoff game in 2014.Their offensive line should have no chance against the Ravens front seven which is arguably the best in the NFL.
But the offense has a golden opportunity to shine. With Tuitt and Heyward out they have no D line at all....practice squad players that wouldn't even maje the Ravens 53 man roster. Harrison and Timmons are old and slow...no match for Pitta. Smith, Wallace, Dixon, West or Waller. Joe should have a field day.
No penalties, no turnovers and Tucker......we spank these guys for the 5th time in a row.Sounds as if you described us being a 12-2 team at this point. We are a VERY MEDIOCRE team right now.
Not today. NFL is week by week. Real fans know this. And we could easily be 12-2 with a couple different bounces. Go root for the Steelers would ya. Sick of our fans pessimism
how about some optimism!! ravens 27 steelers 22. go ravens!!
If the Ravens win tomorrow, they can still win the division with a loss to the Bengals if the Squealers lose to the Brownies.
Got to take care of business tomorrow though. If the Steelers lose to the Browns there will be no NFL playoffs due to the sun colliding with earth.
Just like there is no way an 0-13 Dolphins team led by QB Cleo Lemon could ever beat a Rex Ryan defense with Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed & Haoti Ngata in their prime, right?
Look it up. The Ravens were checked out that season. 5-11. FYI
i agree with you there. they were done with billick
time to put on the big boy pants. go ravens!!
bills laying an egg thus far. cmon rex help us out
wonder if tavon young would have been drafted if tray walker did not pass away. walker had nice size and was coming along.
going to be a close ravens win or a steelers blowout. go ravens!!
It's been reported that the Bengals plan to hold Green out of the final two games. If true, it would improve our chances of winning Week#17. Luckily, it seems that missing the playoffs the Bengals are apparently tanking for a better draft position.
lets hope so but would like to see them win today to help us out
man that is a lot of teams to root for but makes watching these games more interesting today
we need you big time joe. time for your playoff mode alter ego to come out. go ravens!!
Given the underachieving this year- on many accounts, I wont be surprised if were taken to the Steeler woodshed. With a HEALTHY Roethlisberger, and the way we ended the last time we played (at home) I don't have a cozy feling....in fact, I sense a silent-night in Bmore.
Contrary, I am a devout Ravens fan and will root them on till the end- however, I do my best not to set myself up for a crushing disappointment. In CQ1's way of thinking- if we DO win- I'll be twice as elated as most of you.
Lets hope it is not a silent night in Bmore.
Please pick it up in Pittsburgh! GO RAVENS !
no jimmy smith makes me very nervous. we can win this game but have to limit the stupid drive killing penalties and flacco has to get in one of his zones. hopefully the d can fore turnovers and the return game has some big returns. go ravens!!
funny how castillo did not get a shout out
tomlin said it best. if you cannot get up for this game with the division on the line than you r a dead man.
I had a KC sighting last week.....whiffing on a special teams tackle. Our next Arthur Brown.
I was screaming at the TV for Sterling. Too early to call him a AB type of bust but it doesn't look great right now
if he and perriman do not pan out than bisciotti needs to evaluate the front office and possibly make some changes. too many flops since 2009. to not have drafted or traded for a 2nd cb is a shame knowing how often brittle jimmy gets injured and how the defense struggles when he is out. need everyone in the secondary to elevate their game. need to win out and the whole team knows this. go ravens!!
they should concern themselves about the game against pitt. the pro bowl should be put into extinction. it is awful!!
dolphins at bills next and finish with the patriots but it most likely will be garrapolo starting that one with some other key guys not playing as well for the pats. need to win out. i sure hope smith returns

would rather have the better draft slot to grab a cb/pass rusher so i hope we lose. start perriman and chris brown in this one and give dixon the rock 25-30 times. start judon and all the young guys and lets see how they respond.
